- Welcome to Voiddyn - Pokémon! In this video of Poke Primer, we'll be going over the Pokémon TCG Standard Rotation. There are a ton of decks getting into the new format while we are losing a bunch of cards as well. We will also take a look at some of the newest decks in the Japanese format.

Awesome! Welcome to the playing competitively! The game may seem intimidating to start, but once you start to get the hang of stuff you'll see how much fun and easy it is to get into it!
If I had any advice, I'd say look up lists on Limitless (limitlesstcg.com/tournaments) and see what placed in the tournaments and see what type of decks you'd like! Also, playing online is a great way to try stuff out with minimal investment.
What an incredible video. So many people just assume you know what every card in the game does without explaining any of the synergies or cards themselves. This was honestly such a great video. Earned a subscriber!!

As someone just getting into the actual game-playing side of the TCG, is there any good pre-built decks worth picking up that provide a good foundation? I've seen many mention the Miraidon ex LBD for example
Let me check. Currently rotation just happened, so prebuilt decks might have a lot of the cards rotated. Honestly I might make a video on it soon, so keep an eye out!

hey, im really new to pokemon tcg and the online version as well. can the same decks from standard tcg be used online as well?
Yup! Online’s standard is the same thing as standard in paper. So you can play your favorite decks online or in paper as well!
I'm new in Pokemon TCG and I play Yu-Gi-Oh but gotta say it sucks that I have to buy always a new card in order to play the standard format I get it's good to bring new players but definitely it's a down breaker for me 😢
I know it stinks to get into the standard format. Have you tried playing online? Pokémon TCG Live is a very user friendly way to play that will allow you to make a ton of decks, if you play you’ll get tons of stuff for free!

But what if a Pokémon card has just the emblem and no regulation letter !

No worries! Nothing wrong with not knowing.
Pokémon switched from not having any regulation letters and being emblems to having regulation emblems a couple years ago.
Assume if there's no regulation letter (or it's not reprinted in a set with a regulation letter), it's not legal for Pokémon Standard. But most likely it's legal in expanded!
