How dose turning the alfalfa result into pellets make less of a feed loss compared to giving a cow the same amount alfalfa in normal form? Giving that the same amount happens to be spilled on the ground by the cow
If you compress it into a pellet it preserves the protein in the alfalfa a lot longer. When it's baled and sitting it dries out overtime and the protein level drops. Also alfalfa pellets equal 100% consumption no ground loss
Yes dryed gras thats stored more than say a year ore 2 are mosly dust and fiber,, but as pellets it can be stored for years, and still keep its nutrisional value, at a much smaller space ore in a silo-tank... its also a lot easyer to handle than a BIG BALE OF HAY.. Pellets can be pumpd-shuffled ore whatever.. hehe

Best regards to you you are feeding the world .
5:50 amen to that, planting and harvesting one time a year sure as hell beats 9-5 in the office 300 days a year.
Thx.

If you feed them bales in a feeder, they'll drag it all over the place, where as if you use pellets in a feed bunk it will all stay in the bunk
+Caleb VanSickle nice. well if you chop it up guess there will be very low or no spillage. keeping cost less.
yep thats the idea
