Those aerial shots of the fields as the wagons and chopper did their job were great - the symmetry and order of the contours and the raked material...just called to an aesthetic that I like.
The amount of knowledge, skill, mechanical aptitude, and lots more to run a modern dairy farm is unbelievable. Maybe Eric’s best comment so far “Dad has pretty good form with the shovel !!
Harvestore silos are always fun to fill don't have to pull Silo unloaders up just open the top and start to fill and if you put too much in the roof gets full and you have to put that in there too
ERIC,,,,this is the best video yet ,, great work,,also drone shots, plus being about to see action at the new barn.nice,,you're brave to go high,,I love it too..top ! Higher the better,,and I give credit to my parents for raising us 12 kids as babies to touch the ceiling,,go high places and climb trees...thanks again farm guys...
They go into the history a little bit on the 200k subscriber special? Or maybe it was 100k special either way. No videos but they did show a cool old picture of how the farm was in the 50s? I think, possibly even before. Worth the watch!
All your videos are good. This was one of the best! And the new barn looks nice with the grading completed. Love your clever sense of humor regarding the scrape alley concrete and staying on the silo to avoid having to climb back up top. Good drone flying btw.
I always love the view from the silo! And the drone is cool too - partially for the same reason - the view - but I also never tired of how synchronized they are bringing the grain in. I know they simply go the same speed but the smoothness of the two machines working together - there's something weirdly calming and beautiful about it. Teamwork!
That drone footage of the fields, was beautiful. I heard thar some dairy farmers are experimenting with seaweed to put in their feeds, and from that it helps digestion and lowers methane production.
Can’t began to express how much I enjoyed this episode! The beautiful fields, the ballet-type rhythmic moves of the chopper in perfect synch with the collection truck, and to top it off, that so-perfect music!! All shown beautifully with the drone!! Great vid!!
That was a grate video thank you. It's great to see your new barn been used. I hope it makes things easier for you. Looking forward to the next instalment. God bless Richard
That’s a great rake. Done many hours of rowing up here in the UK with the same one however I’m very jealous of the fact that you can move between fields just by lifting the arms up. Where I was working you had to take 4 arms off each rake and fold down part of the frame to make it low enough to get down the roads under trees. Was such a pain but I still enjoy that job almost as much as tedding
The new taller hay looks like sudan grass hay which we always ran through a crimper because the stalk of the hay is usually to stimmy for the cows to eat if not crimped. Thanks for another great video!
Those drone/field shots are absolutely gorgeous! I watch your videos whenever they come out- It's really nice to see your operation from above. It gives a much different appreciation for your craft, for me, at least.
The beauty of the Harvestore, You just open the lid and you can refill it. You don’t have to compress the unloader and crank it to the top. Nice and easy to go from one Harveststore to the other, to finish third cutting.
10 Man, I'm sure your Kubota skid has "Float Mode" you can use to smooth out the dirt work around your new construction. A little more refined work. Easier on the lawn mower. Won't be a rough ride. Great video. God bless Gal 2:20
Great Video. Please be careful and safe on top of the silos. I could tell that the heat was getting to you. So please stay safe and thanks for ALL of your hard work and videos.
Putting hay up is a little tricky if it's too wet it will spoil, too dry and it gums up the equipment so you have to be on the ball. Oh yeah, don't let it get rained on or it's not worth chopping. Eric, you and Dad make dairy farming look easy, people should know that it is long hours with constant decision making. Oh you get no days off... I love your videos.
I've never seen alfalfa done like that stored in silos, very cool. Down here in south central Kentucky most farmers in my area they square bale it and sell it to the horse farms.
Great video ... such pretty country (as in landscape) ... neat farms ... chopper and cart were "dancing" over the windrows of hay ... really nice to watch ..
Loved the video. It always makes my day when I see you have posted a new one. Thank you Eric, for all the extra work involved in taking us along on your work day. Very enjoyable!
Gotta get that new concrete initiated with some nice manure. It is taking on a nice patina. Never get tired of watching your work. Thanks so much for making and sharing the videos.
Watching the entire construction process (as everyone in the comments has)and seeing the product in use is extremely satisfying. Great video as always mate 👍
Hey Eric, good to see you got 3rd cut in, we're between 2nd and 3rd cut up here in Ontario. Just a tip with that rotary rake, don't run it much over 1600 rpm especially in alfalfa or the leaves will be gone. Basically, the wetter the crop is, the higher the rpms, the dryer it is, the lower. Also, have you guys ever considered doing hay in a day? i.e., cut early morning and chop late afternoon on the same day. The feed quality is better if it is done in one day. Thanks for posting, keep up the good work!
That other hay looks like Sudan grass, we do a good chunk of acres with it after we harvest our cover crop. We really like it for bailage. Always yields really good
What an awesome view from the top of the silos. Will you do any more planting or just let the fields go to grass? Your growing season begins earlier than it does here in Northern Vermont. It's either colder or wetter here. We are entering our cooler season, Temps this week only in high 60s and mid 70s, has been raining a lot more. Like your videos, informative and shows how much you care about the farm and animals.
Saw your Dad’s t-shirt, “ Cocoa Beach”. That’s my hometown. I’ve been in PA fo 30+ years. Southern Lancaster County. Love it it up here, but The Winters are getting worse, as I get older. Hopefully, one day, I can spend the winters down there .
As a second son who grew up on a Dairy Farmer and had to take a job in IT which my lazy ass was only too delighted to do, I now look back in envy and discover that your job beats any job in todays world.
Good day Eric Wednesday here in Minneapolis. Loved the video of you and others working. Looking a bit warm and did notice you have color/tan, looks good on you. Be safe gld you took time to get a vacation in. See you next time. Ps ,over the new buildings and other improvements. Tom in Minneapolis
Heard of drum tippers before? They go up on the rails of where the con is and it fills up slowly with water and then gravity tips it over and then refills again. That be good where your scrap ally is, few farms in nz have them on the yard
The dance of the machines... it's always riveting to watch especially from a height. It always hard when a brand spanking new piece of concrete with those amazing straight grooves etched in gets dirty..... makes me wanna rush out with the hose and wash it clean. Just food for thought wetting down the concrete before scraping would make it glide over more cleanly
Haying time is always the best videos!! Was wondering what feelings you had as you made your first manure pass on the new floor☺️ such an awesome new building!! Thanks for a super good video Eric 🙋♀️😊
You are highly intelligent and a great worker, enjoy life because it goes by fast, your so very lucky to see all that green fields, love it thank you ,god bless you ,
I like how u just keep it to the point. No extra talking or off topic things. And u dont bomb ur channel with music. Good to just see it raw.
Seems like yesterday Eric was at 100,000 and now 350,000. Great job and continue the great videos. Thank you Eric.
The drone shots of the farm and the cutting were awesome. Such a beautiful area.
The work never ends on a farm , the rewards can be seen in your faces though knowing you are feeding the world. Thankyou much Farmers.
Those aerial shots of the fields as the wagons and chopper did their job were great - the symmetry and order of the contours and the raked material...just called to an aesthetic that I like.
Dang u a photographer or somethin?

@@stevenstodd2812 i never had to crank the unloaded up. It was always ready to roll for me. We only did one silo though and rest in bags.
I agree. I thought you get up early feed animals and call it a day.
Drone shots! Yessss!! Love seeing the machinery in action. The farm looks amazing. The contrasting stripes and colors are mesmerizing. Great video.
ERIC IS A HARD WORKING MAN
Loved the music with the drone footage of the fields.
Me too

Beautiful crops...Beautiful fields. Nice job! And I'm proud to be part of the new scrape alley's christening.
Great drone footage. Thanks for all you and ur family does to keep us in dairy products!
Would be cool to do a video talking about the previous generations. Any pics/video you have of how they used to do things, etc. Would be sweet!
Yeah a look around some of those other barns
They go into the history a little bit on the 200k subscriber special? Or maybe it was 100k special either way. No videos but they did show a cool old picture of how the farm was in the 50s? I think, possibly even before. Worth the watch!
The new scrape alley was like a piece of finished lumber. Sooner or later it's time to apply the stain. 😁
Beautiful drone footage and music, soo relaxing! Great farm life 💚
All your videos are good. This was one of the best! And the new barn looks nice with the grading completed. Love your clever sense of humor regarding the scrape alley concrete and staying on the silo to avoid having to climb back up top. Good drone flying btw.
Really enjoyed today's cutting while you were using the drone. Such beautiful countryside you have there.
I am from Louisiana I have been watching you for a year now. Really enjoy and appreciate all what y’all do as a family to bring milk to the table.

"He has good form with the shovel. That's why I like it when he does it." 🤣
That was so painful to watch the clean concrete being scraped over. Can’t stay new forever!!
I was thinking the same thing too
@@rakeempeace2991 he won't reply oh well!
Daddy won't let him!
Should of had the pit opening closer to the barn door.
@@Brian-ov1rj the pit is for the other barn too, hence why its right beside it

Almost made me cry it was so beautiful!
It's funny how excited I get for your harvest videos! Probly as excited as you get for harvest!

Videos are great. Love the way your farm is laid out. Looks like new barn and surrounding area is laid out to make it so much more efficient.
thank you. its a good bit of work to do these vids, and I truly enjoy watching what you are up to on the farm. I did farm work as a teen. I miss it.
Great video Eric your new barn is working out well I enjoy watching your videos keep up the fine work be safe .
16:32 "He's got pretty good form with the shovel." :-P Great sense of humor, Eric! Keep up the great content, brother!
Wow thanks for all that you and your family do for us god bless. Spot on with the drone footage
Wow. 3 cuts. Not bad. So many are suffering from drought conditions are barely getting a second cut. Great vid.. ☘️🇺🇸NH
We've had great crops in the Midwest this year...fantastic yields.

Love the drone shots! Great looking farm.
Nice we just built a bunker was a pain covering second cutting probably starting 3rd in the middle of august
My wife and I had a visceral reaction to seeing the new concrete get coated in manure!

Nice view from the silo and from the drone. Very much enjoyed.

U have extendable 3pt arms.... extend them before u back up. Makes it 100x easier to hook up the 2nd side.
Suggest you carry a Leatherman Wave or Surge with you to always have a screwdriver and other tools whenever you need one.
I thought the exact same thing. I carry a Free P4 every day and absolutely love it.
Supertool 300, screwdriver bits get lost from wave/surge style also don't have any reach for recessed screw heads.
