It's looking great...those headlockers would have been nice for the young PA farmers Colton barn ...idk what use you had for them but their barn had chains holding their cows in the manger...nice to see you Eric with a picture of you and him ...on his channel...you are his mentor and I think you Eric are a great mentor to him ... awesome 👍😎
@@erictilley4095 Aww thanks for the compliments. I appreciate that so much. My pleasure meeting you on here. Can we be friends if that’s ok with you, we get to know ourselves off here
I watch your vids with my kids every night before bed. We really enjoy watching the cows and tractors. But we have been missing you finding drinks in weird places. It always gave us a laugh when you did that. Please keep it up
The drain between barns will work great. Until the seed takes hold you should wrap the gate in some filter fabric do you don't loose the dirt down the drain
Grate video the new barn looks amazing. You would of thought that the builders would of cleaned up the sight when they had finished. It's just like doing half a job if you know what I mean. Looking forward to seeing the next video. Take care Regards Richard
Be careful still with copper sulfate and the stainless. It's still not 100% maintance free. If you made the new pan with 304 stainless you should be ok just rinse after use and neutralize the acid. Weakest point for corrosion would be the welds depending on what filler rods the shop used and it's carbon content. Hopefully they used SS316 L for welding.
Even funnier than how nosy the cows are is how funny they sound mooing when Eric has sped up the video. I just can't get tired of watching life on the 10-Gen Dairy Farm.
I also work with my dad. We’re business partners. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the way you guys work together. I know it’s not always easy. And sometimes there are disagreements that are tough to navigate. I obviously don’t know all the details of your situation but it’s nice to see these improvements happening. I suspect your dad greatly respects your opinion.
Keep up the hard work and awesome content Eric! I'm definitely enjoying all the exciting new changes and improvements to the farm. Glad your Dad's shoulder seems to be healing well! Love the new heifer barn too! God bless you and your family!
WHYYYY are you cleaning up the contractors mess! You're too nice Eric! New heifer barn looks great, well ventilated and roomy! Keep the awesome content coming!
Might need to put some straw bails around that drain until you get some rooting established if it comes a big rain all that toxels going to run down in that drain and you're going to have a problem straw bales we'll stop that
I know your mega busy with work and life but have you considered longer vids I really find it interesting watching your channel being from a city! Fantastic channel keep up the good work!
Just curious, are there any plans for the old heifer barn space? I was thinking about expanding the commodity shed, or better yet, another space for a sileage pile. Love your videos and thanks for sharing. God Bless.
Good job on your construction project. I am a retired GC. I like your "design and build" method. Make it all work for you. I think you are awful giving with the neighbors. They are getting a Bomb deal on free wood. Even though they are tearing it down. Used lumber is Very In Style.
For the year I worked at a northern Vermont dairy as a manure hauler we worked on building an ice cream plant. We did .uch of the work in our free time.
Agree with Nate and maybe put a piece of angle iron on each end so it is not attached by the floor but will stop them from pushing back and forth. You all no more than me.
The farm is looking good. Made me nervous watching you guys picking through the scrap pile without work gloves. I don't like getting cuts and splinters.
9:15 - I love the cow brush. Not sure why, but I think is fun to watch the cows scratching their backs.

He has a tie stall barn. Eric has a free stall barn. Tie stall barns are becoming a thing of the past nowadays.

I'd watch a cow brush live stream. For some reason it's fun to watch them scratch their itches. :)
Totally agree 😊
@Michael Wells Hi how are you?
Looks good. You’ll like the stainless. Much easier to keep clean as well. I’d fasten those sides though or they’ll bend that up over time.

I was happy to see you using the loader and pitch fork to work on the scrap pile. Old wood and metal sheeting is a haven for Copperhead snakes.
Builders did well but a job isn’t done until the mess is cleared away
There is a sign in my bathroom that reads no job is complete till the paperwork is done! Least they could have done was had dug a hole and burned it
Add the bill isn't paid until the job is done.
hilarious how the workers just leave all their crap at the customers haha
It may have been in the contract that owner disposes of the debris.
Most farmers do not want to pay for a dumpster if they can burn or recycle. It's easier to get a dumpster.
Awesome. Love watching the changes on the farm

Looks good what y'all are doing, and hope the cows like the foot bath, and glad you got Neighbors that will do that for you.
@daniel gilbert Hi how are you?
Fun fun fun. Yes I've been dismantling and de-nailing an old shed for awhile. It's like a jigsaw puzzle taking it apart...have fun!
It's so much easier watching work on RUclips than doing work. Thanks man.
I can watch people work all day.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing. Bldg and area looks great
Just a consideration; perhaps doing a sweep with a metal detector to find nails and such in the construction area.
Love watching you & your dad work it's worth a thousand words. Good job all

I don't know what it is but watching cows use those automatic scratching brushes cracks me up.
All farms need a good burn pit...but 5:42 is certain to cause some to flame.
Oof, hurt seeing all that wood go to burn.
WHYYYY are you cleaning up the contractors mess! You're too nice Eric! New heifer barn looks great, well ventilated and roomy! Keep the awesome content coming!
And yes I will be ordering some merch!
Great awesome video Eric, construction junk is the worst to clean up after the building is all done ,
Haha I love the cow enjoying her brush. Would love more of that content.
Looks better everyday
@Michael Collins Hi how are you?
Would have been kinda cool to have Aaron Lavoy or Graham Parker costar on the footbath scene. 🤣
@Bob Devine Hi how are you?
We use two footbath, generally when cows hooves get wet they shit, so the second is a less concentrated mix and the first has a high mix,
Eish it breaks my heart to see how much good wood you guys throw on to the burn pit.
Your Dad wearing crocs in a cow barn, now that’s a real man!!
My boss wears crocs too and we work on a chicken/pig farm!
@@dominicfarzetta chicens and pigs are not as bad as cattle
Crocs are easier to clean up and don't absorb the smell.
We can’t wear crocs in Australia you never know when you gunna come across a tiger a brownie a copper head or a red belly snake
@Dustin Williams Hi how are you?

You could of put all those 2x4s on eBay and listed them as 10th Generation home security system. Gotta give the fans their merchandise!
Yeah okay stoner lmao
Cow having its hair brushed always good to watch for some reason 🤷🏻♂️
great job. The new barn really looks good. The landscapeing looks great. Thank you for an awesome video Eric
Throw a bale over that grate until the grass gets established. Just in case of a big rain.
@Michael Paulzine Hi how are you?
The project is looking really good. Would like to see how the curtains were installed and how they work. Thanks. See you next time.
A grapple bucket for the Skid steer comes in handy when you have messs like that to clean up. The new barn looks great
Thank u for a great adventure video. Have a super weekend.
Recycling is forever! Glad to see the barn go to live on!
Looking good,,,and God will bless you back for giving to the neighbors,,, He will...
Love this channel so much
I'd be pretty angry if my contractors left a pile like that. They need to clean up after themselves.
Damn straight, no final check until you are done

My Favorite Channel to watch -Love Your explanations & sincerity of it all
Grew up with friends that had a cattle farm, glad we dont have smell-a-vision LOL. Smells you never forget.

You are such a hard worker! Good for you.
Your new barn is so nice looking then when the grass grows it will be even better!
be careful of nails, barn looks awesome, amazing amout of scrap after a building is built
Wow that will lol a lot different without that barn nice video ! Keep them coming

Glad to see the cows still use the brush. Are you going to put one in the new barn?

Used lumber from animal buildings is usually only good for building another out building. If you bring it in your house to use it will always smell.
First-class farm! Thanks for the video!

Them 4x4 curbing is nice in the shop for jacking up equipment or for holding up equipment.
Watch out for the KARENS complaining about the fire pyre!

Great. Well done.
Good luck at sale. Thank you for sharing.
Your dad and them crocs. I bet your mom had a foot bath set up for him as he walks in the house! 😂😂.
I learn something new watching this channel I never heard of a foot bath for cows
Wearing my new “10th Gen” tee shirt while I write this note. New barn really turned out great. Going to be very handy .
You should start a friendly competition with Cole the Cornstar and have a nice plush lawn in front of the new barn.
@John Bidwell Hi how are you?

For the price of wood these days you can post them on craigslist.🤣

We farmers rarely use gloves
Price of lumber where I live, ... valuable stuff right now.
Could make a really nice raised garden bed with all them 2x4's
Good hardworking kid. Nice to see oh, he's a forgotten man!
with how expensive wood is, that's a pretty sweet deal for the neighbors.
The new setup is coming along nicely Eric.
Cheers. 🇨🇦

Yeah with the price of wood there is a lot of money in that scrap pile. Hey, great job. Thank you for being a farmer.
