In this video titled EU4 A to Z - THE MOST CURSED GAME In EU4 History as France I do a playthrough as France Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of France , and I attempt to conquer all of Great Britain and Ireland, vassalize England and give the region of France to them. So let's see if I managed to do it! As Frankfurt do something like a Frankfurtress, where you must create a fort in all/majority of your provinces and only conquer land to make your country shaped like a German sausage

As Frankfurt become the top producer of livestock so you can make as many frankfurters as you want.

If you wanted to maximise the cursedness, the next play would be to abandon your overlordship of England, support French seperatists in England and then re-establish France in its home territory.
This video comes in to my top 3 of the most cursed things i have ever seen in EU4 and i'm playing the game since 2014.
-England and France switching places
-Going anglican as France (church of France)
-And forming Great Britain as France while England still exisists in the french region

They changed the 100 years war cb, so as the defender (France) it behaves pretty much the same as a reconquest war, with 25% AE and 75% warscore cost on cores
Didnt they change the surrender of Maine war to act like a reconquest war for France?
Yes. He must just have forgot. Since it was very recent that they changed how it works I forget sometimes too
@@ldib7798 well it’s still better to declare, because sometimes england will just give maine and then you have a long truce
the most agonising part is that france is a reformable nation, so if the ai England knew how to culture shift to Francien it could theoretically form France after you formed Great Britain and just thinking about that puts me in so much pain
Subjects can’t form new nations
@@MilesGilmore you could eliminate all of its non-Francien land to force the culture shift, give it the needed cores, then release it, and it would probably form france

This was absolutely amazing. Sure, the sight of the map at the end of the run gave me 17 types of cancer, but it's worth it! So cursed!

16:10 You can vassalize enemy vassals for reduced AE as well with Excom CB. In addition, it doesn't cost extra diplo mana either.
On that note, wouldn’t a full annex of Provence make Lorraine his subject?

No. It would not. Lorraine is a PU of Provence. PU rules do not follow vassal rules. Full annexing the primary country just makes Lorraine independent.

Like:
- Barcelona
- Glasgow
- Helsinki, as the final game was held there

I just realized: you skipped Florence. I guess they don't technically have unique national ideas, in that there is another tag that has them, but I think they should still count for the A to Z.
I guess, he will remember about Florence in season T, where he will have Tuscany in the list.

@@swagcat6747 no, but like every other country, you have to learn the start and expansion routes. Hawk is good at explaing viable options in other videos.
For frankfurt, invite ordinary sausage as a guest. Thats it.
Move to Frankfort, Kentucky as Frankfurt
If you do that Joan of arc chain as Orleans you can become a theocracy run by females that’s militant or something like that. It’s pretty wild. But you have to own Calais verdun and a few other provinces before the age of reformation or 1520 I think.
The pu shenanigans reminds me of my France game where I pu'd Poland instead of the other way round, and this was late game they had like 210k troops, so it's kinda funny to see that the opposite happened here

Hey RedHawk just wanted to say I love the videos, but I am curious if there is going to be any updates on the vods channel or twitch. While the shorter videos are really fun and engaging the long streams can be really helpful for learning about the game. So yeah, just mainly curious if there are any planned updates to the vods channel like the Prussia to Germany campaign etc.
I don't think you played with the game files, but I don't know how I never get this event in my entire 400+ hours in this game.

This playthrough isn't just cursed, it is possessed.
you dont have to declare a reconquest war anymore. Patch notes for '1.33 France update':
- The Surrender of Maine event now has a custom casus belli, which acts as an usual Restoration of Personal Union cb for England, but is like a Reconquest cb for France.

I often don’t care for burgundy rivaling me as I just cancel the Burgundian rivalry of me as soon as possible and hope they rival the Austrians while improving relations. It helps a lot
I challenge you to do this challenge again, but move France to Britain, Britain to Spain, Spain to Germany, and Germany to France. Oh, and swap Portugal with Italy too. Now that would be 10/5 level cursed.
You need to repent for what you did to France just now. As FRANKfurt, you should culture shift to FRANConian and form FRANConia. Then, you should complete the mission King of the FRANKs. (If you have time, switch to a monarchy and get the Restoration CB on France).
This may haunt me in my sleep haha. Great video! That outcome looks just so wrong and still so right (when it comes to borders), I love it.

Bruh this happened to me as Russia I was just playing a game full of cheats and I still get PU’d by Hungary it was so strange man getting PU’d is the most demoralizing thing that could happen in an EU4 game in my opinion
Reign as Frankfurt over Thuringia, Krakow, Vienna and Nürnberg and show the world, that the Frankfurter (sausage) is the superior sausage!
SO im not just unlucky restarting hella times just for a friendly burgundy. honestly sense the update i didn't think it was possible, so many restarts I just gave up.

Since you were allied to Scotland and had mil access, you could have started the war with your troops already in Scotland and you wouldn’t have gotten black flagged.
Not sure if this has been mentioned but if you change any of the base files for the game it will prevent you from playing in ironman mode. So I trust you RH!
