Prussian Stratocracy is an interesting government form. One of your generals becomes the ruler after your old ruler died with a lot of pips you get some pretty good rulers. The -republican tradition isn't that bad because you don't elect your rulers. And for Granada, do a re-reconquista.
True, It's one of the best government types for a military nation like Prussia, it's great for both gameplay and roleplay, same with the military dictatorship of Milan, the stratocracy is great an you'll still keep it once you form Germany, same for Milan into Italy and possibly the Roman Empire. The military dictatorship of Milan is OP because it shares the same events as the presidential dictatorship which is the one you get at low RT, you can get generals with 100 AT at the cost of 10 RT, 100 monarch for 10 RT depending on the ruler's skills, and get 10 RT and AT by defeating the pretenders, it's the funniest experience I've ever had and I'd recommend it to everyone to try it, both the government types are not made for a pacifist tall champaign like most of the Republics so if you're enjoying a gameplay focused on military conquests then it's even better, you can get as much absolutism as a monarchy whole still being a republic so you won't need to throw away the government type like most republics, especially the Ambrosian Republic which is considered the best in the game by the community until the age of Absolutism which would be thrown away ASAP.

I will be completely honest that Granada is one of the hardest games I've ever played in Eu4. Since it's already hard enough, just make a primary goal of restoring Al-Andalus. If you want a second goal, beat France in a war to Avenge the Battle of Tours.
Granada is a "first ten years" campaign. If you manage to expanded in North Africa and ally at least two of Morocco, Tunis, and the Ottomans, you're usually in a good spot to start expanding into Iberia. By that time, you've managed to get strong enough that the rest of the campaign should feel like any other. Make good decision and pray to RNGesus that Castille's alliances don't get too strong for you, and you'll be fine.
As granada you cant try swap yourself whit the 3 iberian nation so you have to put castile portugal and aragon in 1 of your 3 starting province. I can feel the pain of this challenge
Other easy ways to rival yourself include Ragusa and Croatia, The Isles (or some Irish minor) and Scotland, Poland and Silesia, Danzig or Masovia but the easiest is Sirhind and Delhi - in the first war get only independence and in the second annex Delhi, you have cores on all required provinces.
the byzantines were the first adopters of rudimentary grenades. so as grenada try and form byzantium. if you want to go really cursed convert your byzantium to catholic, and bombard antioch to simulate the holy handgrenade of antioch.
17:40 You had both your diplomats idle. They could have been improving with nations that had 50-60 AE, to get them above 50 opinion to make sure they didn't join the coalition. Making sure my diplomats are always working is something I've been trying to do more myself more recently, and you should probably do the same to make your life easier. If they aren't doing anything else anyways, you loose nothing by having diplomats improve relations with nearby countries so they're less likely to join a coalition.
yeah peacedeals are weird sometimes. You can take 1 province bordering the core of vassals (same continent) but not beyond if those provinces are landlocked. If you want the rest it only works if you give it all directly to brandenburg.
When you want/need your ally to join your war but they have the "distant war" modifier (like you had here wishing France against Poland), try experimenting with co-belligerent some of your enemy's allies - they might be allied to yet another nation that is in turn, located closer to your ally - then the "distant war" modifier is removed, since well - the war is now at the border of your ally :) (like e.g. here Poland was allied to Naples, let's assume Naples was in turn allied to someone bordering France like Savoy - if you co-belligerent Naples and they call Savoy - France would be willing to join because that is not a "distant war" for them anymore) P.S. I always have a lot of fun watching these A-Z challenges, many unusual twists along the way. And even something new to learn from time to time. Keep it up, thank you for these! Edit: actually the same can work for the "attitude towards enemies" - your ally might love your enemy but could hate ally of the ally of your enemy - and subsequently join your war :)
I had that case against me in one of my games, as Poland, I needed Austria to join me against Hungary, but France will join if I was calling Austria, very annoying ^^'
As Granada, first control NW England as there used to be a TV channel called Granada based there. It was often called Granadaland. Then from Spain as you Form Anlususia as Castile.
