With gujarat's ideas this fits perfectly and you should become a Muslim trading nation. "Confirm Thalassocracy as Hindustan" "Zoroastrian and Confirm Thalassocracy" might also be cool but maybe too much for A to Z
Just for future reference. If it's a genuine mistake that genuinely would ruin your run (declaring war on all of Europe for example), I'm personally fine with you closing out to save the run and your sanity. Now if it is salvageable play it out; but a goal should be for each run to be fun, not just eternal suffering for the sake of YT money.
You need to stop using the C hotkey, this is your version of Laith always deleting his forts lmao. I don't think many people would have been mad if you alt+F4'd after accidentally declaring war on France, especially since you already did it for something comparatively minor. You were just ONE province away from the achievement. You could have just said it was a "failure" because of that but still get the achievement. You make some great content Hawk and I feel pain for you right now.
Seriously. It's almost every video where the C key causes issues and it's a fairly common thing with EU4 RUclipsrs, for some reason, to do things like this. I rarely use most of the hotkeys in the game, personally, but there's no reality where I'd give up on a hard achievement like this because of accidentally declaring war. Alt-F4 is a tool to use for a reason.
Sad that this ended as it did. DDRJake had a great series as Granada where he went super aggressive and fought multiple coalitions in Europe, it was quite impressive. Renovating Iberia it was called.
The Guaranis had a myth about a Land Free Of Evil located somewhere in the Andes mountains. So you should conquer all of Peru as Guarani (could also be every mountain province in South America)
This is impressive! When I first read Pierre Clastres about these indigenous tribes in South America, the concept of the "One" and how it is seen as evil, their solution to the problem, etc. These people are very amazing, but we don't give them as much attention as we should...
Honestly RedHawk I really like this. Sometimes it's like content creators only do good always while your average player will have bad runs and rage quit too. It's relatable, so still good to see. :)
I had this last week with a hre run. I thought i pressed pause when closing my laptop. Turns out i didn't and i lost my PU's with great britain, france, Italy and the commonwealth. I was so pissed that i quit the game and stated another one for my first time in asia with oda
Gujarat was known for it's merchant diaspora, as their people had a seafaring tradition and migration to foreign lands. so as Gujarat, own every province bordering the Indian Ocean. Maybe just the Arabian sea + Persian Gulf if you want it easier.
It's the c hotkey. When he gets rid of an event (or anything else) on screen whilst he's on the declare war screen for a nation, he presses c, which is the same button to declare war, so if he accidentally presses c twice, he accidentally declares war
@@eugeniaayala9329 Ok, I see. I don't use any hotkeys, ever. I do everything with my mouse. Yes, that includes not smashing the spacebar during battles. I can't be bothered :P

Not disappointed at all! This is literally my hardest achievement I have tried still unfinished, and the first one I attempted, the patch before they got rid of Westernization as a mechanic. It sucks to have missed the goal, but you kicked ass still.
Yesterday I also rage quit. Due to my war as France against ottomans. I had 4 star siege general who can't siege the castle of gelibolu at 57%. And then ottomans suddenly took 5 lvl mil tech without Renaissance and stuck wipe my army. Shit happens man
I think this started out great tbh. It all comes down to patience I think and manage that AE a little bit better as to not let the AI go into a coalition against you. If you manage this then I think this is very doable.
If this worked for me, it might work for you: The couple of times I formed Andalusia, I took Portugal's and Castile's islands in the Atlantic... it kept them from colonising early on and gave me enough time to conquer the rest of Iberia.
I did this achievement on hard difficulty. I can say that the first 70-100 years were very interesting to play, because even an alliance with the Ottomans did not guarantee my existence. The party ended with the capture of Africa, 2 Americas and the territories of Spain, France and Great Britain.
Good show, my guy. If I ever attempt this, I would probably 1) betray Morocco early to annex for their vassals and 2) move the capital to Northern Africa to manage war exhaustion and war score.
Good run. Almost had it. If it weren't for the short < 30 minutes format, you would have finished it easily. Could have just waited for coalition to expire and then declared on france when the odds are in your favor.
Chill mate, it's just sometimes happens :) cool to see your video and fact that you still care about audience :) hope that you will enjoy Poland next week, you need to try żurek!
Surprised with how much he struggled with this one. Not that Granada is in any way easy, but compared to some of the challenges he's made for himself (like Beloozero) I'd have figured this would have been easier in comparison.
Bro, I'm nowhere near as good at EU4 as you and this nation made me rade sp hard as well. Took me loads of attempts, and only managed 2 where I survived and ate Tlemcen - only with 1 I got to the point of conquering most of Iberia. Not an Ironman game though - I'll need to try more achievements at some point, but man is it rough sometimes when you're not that experienced at the game.
will never understand the use of a hotkey when you can take a second longer to click a button instead. feels like the game is screaming "how many times do we need to teach you this lesson, old man?!"
Most people like Byzantine the most when it is abou their favourite super hard start. But for me it is Granada. It feels much satisfying for me to beat Castile as Granada than defeating Ottomans as Byzantine.
I'd like to point out that the strategy you carried out wasn't nearly as optimal as it could have been. After the Tlemceni war, it's best to just attack Castille with the help of Morocco and Tunis (no need to call the Ottomans in), as you can get mil tech 4 before them and you get a 100 tradition general if you scornfully insult them to complete the mission. That, together with the 5% extra morale from the prior mission and whatever military advisor you can get would suffice to beat Castille (with Morocco and Tunis's help, obviously). You declare war on Castille first in order to get the La Mancha gold mine, which carries your economy through the next wars, and to get a province from which you can release Leon. At this point, you will likely be able to get an alliance with France, who will help you in future wars against Castille, Aragon and Portugal. However, you don't actually need the alliance with France in order to continue playing, it just makes life easier. At this point, you can choose to attack either Aragon or Portugal for the required provinces for Andalusia. If you had enough war score to anule Castille's alliance with Portugal, then they are free game. England is useless and you don't need to worry about them being joining the war against you. After the war with Portugal, you can form Andalusia and stabilise your nation, maybe expand into the Maghreb. It's worth noting that while you won't need to call in the Ottomans to your wars, it's nice to have them as an ally in order to avoid getting attacked early on by Castille. For further expansion, you can release and use the reconquest CB's for Galicia, Leon, Asturias, Valencia, Catalonia and Majorca. You can just snake to one of their provinces, release them and reconquer their cores in the next war. This way, you can manage to get the entirety of Iberia by the 1520s or even earlier, depending on how you manage your truce timers. Finally, I'd reccomend getting religious ideas first in order to convert Iberia and get the Deus Vult CB.
For reasons I'm not so sure about, this is the achievement I went for in my first ever ironman. I just had my ass handed to me repeatedly and I failed miserably. Really great video to watch though, you still did way better than I did 😄
