@@cidredwood6170 For a tactical RPG it probably had to, each side only had one average one turn to attack so the time in battles will be shorter, they gotta jump straight into the juicy bits of the song, makes it interesting hearing the "full" versions of these songs like this one!
@@YEP753 hi, ive beaten this game about 15 times now. 2nd game about 10 times. Magic is almost always better for late game. Also 40 magic holy dance with decent agility is more reliable damage, as most late game levels will have some demons with repel physical. Early to mid (sometimes late if the boss has an elemental weakness) using the element dance plus element amp will completely eviscerate anything. Devil Survivor 1 also has a slight lack of good agility based magic users. To answer your question, multi strike is more overall dps (phys amp, crit chance up, and dual shadow + blitzkreig will have you one shot bosses). But magic builds have more utility, holy dance is more reliable in most situations, and physical builds require most of your passive skill slots to do insane damage. Magic builds will leave spots open for stuff like anti-most + physical repel or other defensive passives
@@chelronin7843 thanks, also where tf is pierce+ I feel like im missing out phys attacks cuz it looks more satisfying than just casting 2 holy dances and 1 shield all
@@YEP753 pierce + was on only one route. I forgot which it was, if you have piercing hit then recommend giving that one to the other physical user that doesn’t have pierce for now. i wanna say amanes 8th day? Pretty sure its hers. Probably also on Naotos 8th day but im not sure again.
The regular battle theme for Digital Devil Saga 2 sounds very much like a regular battle theme, but in that it stands unique among probably every battle song you heard.
Devil Survivor was my first MT game and i had no idea what i was doing so I gave him lots of magic because that's what his character design suggested. little did i know, that nerd was fuckin SWOLE
This hectic battle theme really captures how messy fights in this game can get. You're really out there scrapping for your damn life, praying to YHVH for that crit to land, thanking your lucky stars when that demon misses their attack that would have ended you. It's not clean, it's not pretty, and neither is this battle theme.
Y'know, as much as I love this game's music (especially Action) this battle theme is just... noise to me The super short loop repeating for 45 seconds as an intro before the main part is kind of insane given how most confrontations are over before that 45 seconds is up
Battles in this game are intended to last very long, it is an SRPG after all. So it makes sense it would be relatively short compared to other SMT games.
The whole intro part isn't in the game, just the OST. In game, the song picks up inmediately when the second main guitar joins, so it jumps inmediately to the beginning of the best part
Most SMT games: Have a battle theme that shows off the atmosphere of your world
Devil Survivor: *LETS FUCKIN THROW DOOOOWN*
Idk I feel like this song perfectly encapsulates the atmosphere of Devil Survivor
@@mammothplant Didn't really mean it like it didn't just like compared to some of the hardest smt themes this one just goes way harder

Is there a single SMT game without a bangin' battle theme that would sound like a boss theme for any other series?

there's SMT strange Journey. It's in a completely different style to any SMT game ever made.
