I'm stuck at the airport playing this game because I was given the wrong flight lobby. This theme is even more relatable now! At least I'll get home in three days instead of seven, but I'm short on cash, food and water, so that's certainly fun!
You know, it's funny to think that this is the best part of the game, but I get it lol. Very satisfying, the feeling that you made it through another day of survival.
I just began playing this game on emulator and honestly.. FANTASTIC! 10/10 FOR ME! Soundtrack, plot, characters and everything is awesome and nicely done! Well done Atlus.
I love how chock full this game's soundtrack is of subtle references to SMT1's soundtrack. I'm totally getting Kichijoji vibes from this, even though the song is clearly so different and evolved. Even the battle theme is reminiscent of MT2's deathmatch and SMT1's battle theme.
@@NEETKitten please stop being dense. I am talking about tone and story. The lockdown, martial law being implemented, the slow decay of modern day society as law and chaos rise. It perfectly captures the experience of the first third of smt 1.
God that surfy backdrop, Asano-san really fucking loved that in this game. This game surprised me, since on the offset it looked like it would be of lesser quality on comparison to other megaten games before it. And yes, at the start, i started seeing a stark paralel between it and anime shows coming out at a similar time frame (shit like Mirai Nikki, Higashi No Eden, Durrara (who's mangaka is the art director for this game), etc.) i was worried, but, gotta say, it is much better than it has any right to be.
Never played this game when i was younger but this song makes me think of those 2011 summers with my friends ahhh take me back Ps . I know this game came out before 2011
Honestly I'd want another devil survivor re-release on switch similar to that of the switch re-release of TWEWY (except not priced that high holy shit) purely because I'd want to play the game without the compressed audio
This track is like, the total opposite of "Action" lol Sounds like I'd be enjoying myself rather than fighting for my life xD Very great track though :]
Fun Fact: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor has never been released in Europe. However, the action-y enhanced port "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked", which was released for Nintendo 3DS, was released Europe, but in 2013 - one and a half year later than in Japan and North America. The reason why it wasn't released in Europe is unknown, but might be localization reasons, which is difficult to do with text-heavy games like tactical RPGs.
RIP takami asano

Most people are a SmT fan and others are a Persona fan, but im a Devil Survivor Fan
Is it my imagination or when playing the game I don't think I hear the guitar when listening to this song
Other commenters say this is from the DS version, not the 3DS version.
The game version is different from the version on the soundtrack for some reason. The guitar was omitted from the game version.
Yuki Nitta Other commenters say this is from the DS version, not the 3DS version.
Played the DS version, it doesn't have the guitar.

This game has great music. Good job Takami Asano!

That lick at the end was just 😩💦
The theme of wasting your time without knowing it
You just captured the vibe of that whole game (moreso the early game especially)

Overclocked!
It's been a hot minute since I played this game. I don't remember hearing vocals for this theme in the game itself
this track is "based" i say bit off a popular pop song from the 80's if you can guess which one.

I hate how Overclocked OST had the worst versions of this and Deep Night (and I guess some more tracks), this part 0:45 is absent there.
