21 years later and this game is still an amazing and powerful thing. Not just because it’s a game, but the pride, thought, creativity, love and integrity that all the creators put into it. It’s why it’ll never ever be replaced and stay as one of (if not the) best games of all time.

Look up Centrilia, Pennsylvania. Silent hill is based of this area. The gist is, while trying to dispose of garbage by or near the mine, the mine caught fire underground and town burned and gasses leaked, killed 75 to 80 percent of the people there. Today, it's like a ghost town, hence the name, Silent hill.

it takes a lot of time to go through all of your life experiences to try &face all of the different forms of guilt built up. a lot of people don't want to do that or think they don't have the time to do it because of lifes necessities. i've faced a lot of mine but still have current ones that i have to deal with, like not protecting my children the way i should have because of other traumas built up over time. sometimes people don't know how to face their guilts like some of the people i know personally. it's not easy &we aren't always taught how to do things properly, situations are different for everyone even when there are similarities. &facing things can be just as different in similar situations. not a lot of people will face their guilts in this life or probably their next lives. cycles can be hard to break &some cycles don't break they just evolve.
All my pain, resentment, anger, despair, broken glass ripping through my mental flesh, constant screaming for the madness of a recurring nightmare to end, turned me inside out. I became the nightmare. I am what men fear. I have something dark and twisted inside me that society has developed a strange fascination for.
This song of itself has helped me relax through the years. The fact that I have this now is almost as great as unlocking the best ability in a game. I can now relax in full. Thank you good sir who uploaded this

Truly and Purely Iconic, no debate whatsoever. 🎶☯️🎶 The reason why Silent Hill 2 it became a classic is because eventually people began to see how unique, eerie, melancholic and authentic the game's atmosphere it really is, and took the time to enjoy its deeply thoughtful narrative and symbolism. To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️
