anthropology have many branches (sub fields), look for university where you want to study with the right professor according to your interest. don't just pick the school based on the popularity or rank in general.
Thank you!
As an anthropologist who went to one of these schools, I can say a list like this should be ignored for both undergrad and grad. For example, there are meaningful differences between US and UK anthro and this list mixes them together, different schools have very different strengths, such as the big difference between forensic and linguistic anthro and only a subset of programs even offering them, etc etc. For undergrad, look for a place where you can do your best work and be the happiest that has an anthro program with your subfield(s) of interest. For grad, go by specific faculty you want to work and network with
This makes so much sense thanks!
Yes! Anthropologist here. "Social anthropology" programs in British schools will not be considered the same as Boazian school anthropology with the four subfields. In our programs they're required to take undergrad classes to prepare them for a grad program because the training is more like sociology. We're not a field that tends to be snobby about schools and often ivy league or normally prestigious names don't carry as much weigh. Some of the well-rounded top Anthro universities *if you're interested in PhD and want to teach in universities in the US* are: University of Chicago, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, University of Virginia, University of Arizona, etc. But like folks are saying: always look at your subfield and region and pick based on what professors you want to emulate.

There are jobs. You just have to know how to use your degree. You might not find a job in the field but you'll find something. Did you network while in college?
