I'm back! And about bloody time! Took longer than expected for the Doc to patch me up after Godzilla's latest sitting escapade!
But anyways been working real hard on the next redesign vid! Happy to say that OC submissions are now open! Technically they always have been on Discord, however I wanted to let you all know just in case you wanna update/delete any posts! Link to Discord is above! I'll let the other sites know soon too!
In the meantime since its been TWO MONTHS since my last upload, heres a cute little Zelda fanart vid! Had a lot of fun with the start learning a bit of janky animation so lmk what you think!
For the lore, I like to imagine that the Secret Stones all the Guardians have are actually little unborn fetuses of Zelda herself (since she can manipulate time and all that jazz). Everyone wants one of 'her' cause of the insane amount of pure/holy power it contains, especially good ol'Ganon who has tried to capture and then harvest as many Zeldas as he can. Sad to say it didn't turn out too well for him. Or Zelda. Or the poor little Zelda dragon...or Link...or the little Korok that was crushed by the falling Zelda dragon....

God, the last scene is so harrowing, as Zelda is sitting there on her last few breaths comforting Link who's probably been through sheer Hell, and is just wiping his tears away.
Seriously stunning work Neytirix....
For a knight who's sole purpose is to protect and save the princess, having to slay them by their own hands is the biggest testament(at least to them) that they failed their one job utterly. If that doesn't mentally scar Link severely, I dunno what will.

@joseph7471 Well, Zelda was being "controlled" or at the very least captured in the dragon, so from the looks of it Link had to slay her. Then hold her dying body :,)

@@swordzanderson5352 that is only true if link has two prosthetics in this alternate continuity. It's a right hand. The replacement we see here is a left hand. And, though we don't see his right hand to clarify this, we do see that he's holding a sword with a right hand.
The way Link is approaching Zelda with a head in one hand and a sword, with a hand already on the Master sword, implies to me he didn't put it there. I doubt that it was Zelda either, because, when Zelda is lying against Link's lap, she appears to be reaching up to his face with her own right hand.
Of course, it could be Zelda's hand. But, she is then seen comforting link with her right hand. We don't clearly see it while she is in the dragon, but if she regained it between those two frames, that implies a level of regeneration that should have been able to fix the chest wound, considering it didn't kill her immediately.
This is all to say, I doubt that we see the owner of that hand in these pictures. And that is an uncertain doubt. This is an alternate continuity with multiple Zeldas. I don't know what is possible in terms of regeneration... and maybe, if link turns 90 degrees we'll see he has a second prosthetic.
Honestly, it's surprising how dark Zelda games can get while still being "for kids".
From the fact that we see Rauru's dismembered arm being the thing that's sealed away mummified Ganon for centuries, to Link losing a whole arm at the start of the game, to even side quests in the game where you're actively enabling a person's desire to turn into a a kind of monster/spirit, plus the creepiness of the blood moon that shows and describes monster rising from the dead over and over again to fight endlessly, to things like a little devil statue where you can bargain for power and money.
And that's not even talking about the depths or gloom.
It really feels like it's just a few tweaks away from being some sort of survival horror game like Resident Evil, it's got all the parts of one from the setting to the scarce resources. Oh right, and the assassins-
The assassins can easily be distracted with some bananas!
Except Zelda games often aren't for kids. The WW-style games are rated for them, but the other ones often have a T rating. Granted, teens are also children, but you can easily argue 16-17 year olds are as well anyway.

@@thenonexistinghero From a quick search it looks like Majora's Mask was rated to older kids. (10 and up.) This game non subtly said that a sapient monkey was going to be cooked alive. and that was just one of the things very early on in the game.
@@phantom-ri2tg The E10+ rating didn't exist yet when Majora's Mask came out. Both it and OoT had an E-rating when they originally came out.
After so many years, your drawing skills have grown to incredible levels. I am very happy that the RUclipsr I started watching many years ago has become such an incredible artist.

Finally. She finally did it it guys. Ney slipped up. Long have I theorized the secret behind her incredible drawings. She concealed it well. Made us believe her prowes was that of a masterful artist. Although I will not deny her some skill for the arts, she does not use it for creational purposes but rather to further her deception. And fool us she did. But now she has grown complacant and too prideful in her success and now she finally made the mistake I needed to prove my theory: Ney can f'in dimension travel. It is not her drawings we marvel at but rather the pictures she took and edited to make it look like she drew them. Because ain't no way in hell and back any mortal, god or devil would ever be able to make something so realistic at the drawing board.

This is deep writing!
I think it's more tragic if Zelda survives, and can't be turned back. The hints that she's still in there somewhere- surrendering the sword to link, coming to his aid against ganon- and the fact the ten thousand years trapped alone in the body of the serpent are still merely at the threshold of the eternal damnation she's inflicted on herself.
And link, knowing that she's technically alive and well, even seeing her every time he looks up to the sky. And yet, also knowing that he'll never get to see her again. And never being able to tell anyone- most people can't even see the dragons.
Both of them silenced, and alone.
This is actually my only real complaint about the overarching plot of the game, that its events are both literally and figuratively erased by the restoration of Zelda and link's arm.
. . . and then Link says no. He finds the Ocarino of Time, gathers the surviving sages, travels back in time, and averts this prophecy of ruin like so many others.

Got I was dreading it from the one memory about Draconification and it broke my heart and i know i cried and seeing the ring of Silent Princesses around me didnt help. The conviction she had to trust so much for a future with Link she was willing to sacrifice. Fuck i can still hear her cry out “SAVE THEM ALL”
Needless to say I became a lot more brutal to monsters after that and didnt get hit once by Ganon in the end just to stunt on him and make the fucker feel impotent every step of that battle. As a proper Holy Avenging Knight should to evil things.

That transition from “Cute and family friendly” to your TRUE CALLING was so amazing! As soon as I saw it, I felt my face light up like Godzilla’s dorsal spines.
The absolute 180 in art style that Neytrix is capable *always* catches me off guard. I know it’s coming and I know the cute cuddly artwork is going to turn into the most foul and heinously visceral shit I’ve ever seen and it still doesn’t help. I don’t mean this as a bad thing, I’ve just never seen someone execute this so well other than her.
Seriously she goes from really cute and simple art to this amazingly terrifying and stylized realistic art and it’s such a jarring difference and always catches me off guard even though I know it’ll happen.
It'd be ironic that the sword that seals the darkness, the epitome of dark's bane (except the triforce) was being repaired and powered up in this manner for eons.
The triforce is not something that banishes evil alone; it also banishes good, depending on the user. It is simply just three pieces of potent energy that don't care if the wielder is good or evil 🤓🤓🤓(This is a joke I see your point)

I did not see anything that says that is how the sword was being powered. It was his arm that had the power sources in it.
@@phantom-ri2tg I Mean When it was broken, it was repaired and Gotten Stronger on the Head of Zelda till Link got it back in the present, also, it doesnt recharge through the arm, it recharges on its own.

HOW IS IT ANIMATED?
It's mostly just standard tweening. It's an easier method than normal animation, but when used correctly, it can yield fantastic results.
@@M0NCHY Is tweening animation just rotating/moving images, and adjusting the camera zoom/position the lighting? Cause if that's all it is, she has done a mighty job considering that's all she did.
@jarrodterrington not exactly, from what I can understand - tweening uses a program that allows you to set a position for a drawing to move to or flex. To put it simply, imagine you have point A that needs to get to point B. In its most simple format, the program would slide the image in a straight line from point A to point B. This makes it so you don't have to do frame by frame animation. But the effect turns out differently. Often, it appears more stiff or lifeless. But more complicated forms such as this one use the flexing of the images to create smoother, more life filled animation. It turned out well, but I personally prefer the look of frame by frame. But I realize that if she wanted the amount of detail in the art that this video had whilst doing frame by frame animation, it borderline would have been impossible. Tweening was the best choice for this scenario. And again- it turned out very well. 👌

Ngl, the idea of Link having to kill the Light Dragon to retrieve the Master Sword, and returning it to Zelda's corpse inside the dragon once the deed is done sounds so raw and epic that almost makes me forget the fucking embryos inside Rauru's arm. Like, this all looks really cool but changing the secret stones to these yellow embryos feels like just makes the story more weird, like it feels much more from the Soul series or Elden Ring than a Zelda game. Anyway, fantastic art, never seen you anywhere but feel like would be a good idea to check your stuff, keep going with this quality
Its like- 2 AM, and like- In the first part, the cute one, i was expecting just some parody shit, then, when the realistic and brutal part came in, my mind just went "HOLY SHIT ISN'T THIS THE ART FROM THAT ONE ARTIST-"

This is such amazing work, and I am so deeply in love with this concept! I know it'd never happen in a million years, but I would die to have this little 'what if?' story you thought up turned into something like a full fledged manga with you as the artist. Just imagining the last bit of art of the video being the end of the manga. A scene of Link holding a horrifically mutilated and dying but conscience Zelda in the sea of her dragon blood, as she wipes away his bloody tears while she tells him not to cry; That she'll be back when he awakes in the morning(A both dreadful and hopeful statement due to her time powers.)
This is just my own interpretation of course( I was very influenced by TheFatRats's music lol.)
No way she's coming back. Her body in this is unfixable, and the MS likely being the thing that apparently took her life is a statement in itself. Look at the Light Dragon's eyes, they're greyed and dull. Both Zelda and the LD are GONE.

I was high as a kite and saw this and was like oh cool a vid I haven't seen yet. I can't explain how quick I sobered up the moment the art changed, out of complete terror and awe at how amazing it was. Watched it on loop 15 times before I fully came down from my high. Even now I can't find words to explain how I'm feeling right now I love your art you are my main inspiration for drawing.

As someone who love gore, this was impctfully amazing. Nightmare fuel even. I can't point into words when that trantion happened. It has been years since I had this feeling of horror!
This wasn't what I was expecting, but I love it so much. The animation at the beginning was a bit unsettling just with the way Zelda's eyes were... kinda uncanny. Then the shift to show the reality of the situation... I love the idea that every thing seems clean and safe until you peel back the veil and see the horrors within. Excellent job
Now that's some quality fan art! The whole scene is just incredibly epic, and the content being a line Nintendo would never generally cross makes it all the more rare and beautiful! I would play the $#!t out of that game though!

Cherry on the cake was the song. At least for the cartoon part at the start, I was fully expecting this to be a Zelda music video. I thought for a second you’d hired a VA to do an original song with your art for cinematics. I think you’d totally get away with doing something like that one day.

Neytirix’ art style has always been a personal favorite and one of the best I’ve ever seen. But this piece just blew my mind, it honestly looks like the practical effects you’d see in a high budget film.

I was always thinking about making SOMETHING different on my speedpaints in the past, but I never knew what I should do to make it more... interesting, now I know. Unfortunatly this is just past now, but, seeing this just proves how creative, and dedicated you are, it really takes a lot of effort to make what you do.
It's been a long time since I started watching you, seeing your art evolution, but I just realized that it's very impressive how you turn things that already exist (or not) on this (your style).

Under normal circumstances, I never really subscribe to a channel, but you Neytirix, you have truly outdone yourself. Not only is this AU of Zelda an interesting concept I'd like to learn the lore of, I personally love all the content and drawing you make. And the amazing twists that they're eldritch horrors(which growing up and reading Cthulhu and the Lovecraft stories earns extra). All I have to say is that you earned my subscription! Ive been such an old fan of you (since like 2018-2017?) and I've always thought you were an artist who was already at the top of their game, but this improvement has blown me away !!! You took something you were already good at and really churned it into something more!

Fun detail story telling on this one. That isn't her Link, and he must of died quite recently because that arm is fresh, but usurper Link has his sword by his side. For those who will say its the implant hand, its the right hand on the Master Sword.

This makes for a perfect theory: the zonai secret stones are actually a sort of egg waiting in stasis, this would explain and expand on why they give out so much power, maybe them turning people who eat them into dragons acts as a sort of incubation, feeding off the energy it creates until they can emerge as fully grown zonai

Absolutely breathtaking. This is some of the most gorgeous art I’ve ever seen. I’m sorry, I need to take a moment and rewatch that video. This is beautiful. (In a creepy and gory way but I digress!) And DON’T. WORRY. If you think the animation was sloppy or whatever, because it was not! And even if it was, the amount of effort you put into it shows how passionate you are about your work. Always look forward to seeing a video from you. (Sorry if my writing’s a bit weird, it’s past midnight for me right now lol)

RUclips recommended this video to me yesterday, I watched it and it is a masterpiece!! I then decided to check out your channel and see what other stuff you’ve made… I literally spent the rest of the day digging through your channel! I woke up today and every available moment I was watching your videos! I love them so much!! It’s only been two days and I’ve listened to all of your music as well as seen a couple of your Artcraft videos. You’re my favorite channel!! Thank you for creating content!
I just wanted to say that you’re been a huge inspiration for me, Neytirix! Ever since I stumbled upon your videos and watched your “redesigning your ocs” series I’ve been inspired by your work and it’s slowly helping me become an artist and (hopefully) an animator too!
And as for the video-WOW, WHEN I TELL YOU HOW MY JAW DROPPED WHEN THE SEEMINGLY PHOTO REALISIM OF THIS VIDEO POPPED UP! In all seriousness though the realism of the gore and eyes and the tiny details look absolutely stunning!
And as for being gone for two months: don’t worry about it. Art takes time and with all the effort you’ve been putting in your videos it’s completely understandable that you may have taken longer to pump out these videos or even just taking a break for a while!
