Im guessing we'll find the origins of giants this arc, and that they were normal sized humans at one point and whatever made them giant also made Ripley's husband a giant momentarly.
@@nicholassealsternI think giants are bigger than Big Mom. They were seen holding the crew in their hands and carrying the ship. Big Mom was about as big as The Sunny when she was throwing a fit and trying to eat it.
Honestly I dont think it will. The flaw (if you will) od Odas NewWorld writing is planting a seed of an philosophy of an character or some situation, and in the end does not explore it nearly enough. I think Morj and his fanbase are looking waay to much into it
I think that mysterious figure and Colon’s dad has to be Scopper Gaban or at the very least a former Roger’s pirate that was present in GodValley. This would allow for Oda to explain Shanks’s origin story to Luffy and why there exist a Shanks look alike through that character.
I think the message will go something along the line of a famous quote from Ghandi: "It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.". It will be a ideologic conflict between pacifism and impotence and the idea that altough peace is good, sometimes, if you have no other option, fighting is a valid one. It will be probably something along the lines Colon learning to wanting to become strong not just for the sake of being strong but to protect those that want peace, like the other children. The same way Shanks in the first chapter only chose violence when his friend was threaten. So, peace is good, but it is ok to use violence to protect others from a violent world. Thats how Luffy thinks, I dont remember what episode it was, but he has said that he knows the world is dangerous and he know not all of his nakama can protect themselfs as well as he does, so, he has to become stronger to be able to protect them and stay together. The same way Zoro has become stronger when his strengh was use to protect his captain dreams and his nakama.
Franky missing out on any development in Egghead reminds me of Zoro in Wano. I for sure thought this had to be the place where we learned about his roots and personal history at least SOMETHING but the best we got was new sword and his distant relative. I guess that's better than what Franky got after Egghead.
@@TheRockerX I get it, but he still reacts when everybody else does usually. Shit Jinbe has gotten multiple reactions just in this chapter, while the “vice captain” been in the background.
One detail too is that we see that the Evil shanks figure has the same sword as shanks / the silhouette we saw of the god knights leader meaning it certainly is the gods knights leader and not some other random faction
I honestly believe one reason to frame Loki is to purposely have a new king that is more passive, perhaps he is even working with the god’s knights or world government. The land of Elbaf used to be so powerful and a huge threat to the WG. It could be a plan to pacify them over time to take over Elbaf and defeat the giants.
The problem with that, as Morj explained in the previous episode, is that Harald already had Elbaf on the road to being a more peaceful country, so it's not like the WG has to do any more on that front. Even if you just mean specifically placating the WG, while I think most of the story implies that Harald was not under their thumb, who are they gonna push? As far as we know only Loki and Hadjrudin are the only royalty left who can take the throne (unless I'm forgetting someone), and neither of them have any reason to be buddy-buddy with the WG (Loki for them killing their father, Hadjrudin because he's subservient to Luffy which would never fly with the WG).
@ the WG is old I can easily see them manipulating Harald from a young age. He would also benefit by being king, perhaps he always wanted it to be peaceful but his father was stubborn. This could have been his opportunity to see that through even if through violence by having his father killed. Could be interesting.
If you think about it...Luffy had TWO uncharacteristically violence-centered moments in the story... 1. When he attacked Loki for an insult against Shanks 2. When he near-attacked the little kid for sneaking up on him. He didn't hit him but it was way too much for just that. And now he seems to be TALKING uncharacteristically. He called the villagers spineless... Something is up...
You think Luffy attacking someone that insults a friend like Shanks is out of character for Luffy? I mean, he kicked Buggy in the guts and even argued with Garp because they were insulting Shanks. Also, he missed Loki. It was a warning shot. Loki was chained with seastone, he would have NOT Dodged an Attack from Luffy. The second Attack looked more like was made to impress the kid. Not to hurt him. And Luffy would punch a child 😐 especially if said child was the one looking for a fight. He was raised like that.
I think you may be right...Louis Arnot said not to stay on Elbaf too long...maybe the reason is that it makes you violent...hence, the birthplace of war.

I also hope that during the arc, Usopp manages to defeat a powerful foe earning the respect of Loki, Colin and the giants of Elbaf, sparking the culture of warriors within the children while also maintaining their drive for knowledge and good manners.
My notes 1. I feel like the theory that time passes differently on Elbaph is off the table as Ripley kind of implied that her quasi husband still ages much faster than her. 2. Given Colons likely age as somewhere around 25 (giants age differently) means that whoever is his dad just needs to be from Roger's Era, leaving, as Morj pointed out, only Gaban and Shiki and yeah Gaban is the only logical one out of those two. 3. Is nobody gonna mention that this chapter pointed out the existence of more adam trees or did I catch a wrong translation? 5. In regards to the mystery woman. It's kinda weird for a celestial dragon, which she likely is, to wear bandages like she does unless she isn't a celestial dragon but actually a slave that was super strong and became an extended member, like a squire to Stonks especially.
For 4 I’m guessing it’s a miss translation. Probably refers to other giant trees like the adam tree. And for 5, if the man marked by flames is the shanks lookalike, she could’ve been with him when that happened and gotten burned too, only much worse. Hence the constant bandaging

What the f is it with scopper gaban. Where does he come from. I mean, why is he a part in every second one piece theory since about 10 years now?
I don't remember anything in te entirety of one piece that hints at him waiting somewhere just to conveniently help the straw hats???
I think it’s because in Oden’s flashback, he was shown to basically be the Sanji of Roger’s crew (at least power scaling wise) and yet there’s been no mention of him or hint at where he’s been in the current story, which is why people think he’ll be introduced at some point. In this case on elbaph, he does make the most sense by process of elimination, unless it’s just a new character
Who tf is Collin?
You guys are all blind ,obviously his father is gin.
