Byron Donalds Disgraceful Jim Crow Media Tour

  • Byron Donalds just can’t escape his insane comment suggesting that Black Americans were better off during the Jim Crow era, a time period defined by laws institutionalizing racial segregation in the United States. It’s gotten so bad, he’s even getting grief about it from Fox News.
“During Jim Crow, the Black family was together,” Donalds said during an event earlier this week. “During Jim Crow, more Black people were not just conservative, because Black people have always been conservative-minded, but more Black people voted conservatively.” Ever since, he has continued to double down on this demented sentiment, despite drawing an insane amount of backlash, including from Hakeem Jeffries, Joe Biden, Joy Reid, Abby Phillip, the NAACP and even Fox News. FOX NEWS!!! As usual, the cover up is worse that the crime.

Jeffries got it right...There is no way to clean it up, because *people understood* it exactly the way he meant it.
Why use Jim Crow as a point of reference if you did not think it was better as compared to now.
Next time just say, black people were more cohesive during the 50/60s...there is zero reason to mention Jim Crow.
Just shows the audience to which he is pandering.

Words of wisdom coming from a man whose family is from Jamaica 🇯🇲. His mom and dad never suffered through nor grew up during Jim Crow. My parents and family grew up in the Mississippi delta during Jim Crow. On top of that he does not have a black family. He has a bi-racial family bi-racial kids a white wife and lives in a predominantly white district in Florida. He got his talking points from the Heritage Foundation, project 2025, Prager U, the RNC, and Charlie Kirk. He’s a lil too comfortable in the big house with Big Daddy and Calvin Candy.

the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Despite dealing with the then worst Congress on record, in his final month the unemployment rate was at 4.7% up from the
previous month's 4.6%. But cut in half from the 10% 7 years earlier at the height of the recovery from 2008. Wage increases in the country were now at a 2.9% clip. As for your question, 👀 you know why.

I'm sick of the idea that black people were CONSERVATIVE during Jim Crow. Although I recognize that the majority of black people had conservative family values, but thats about as far as it went. The Party of Lincoln was the progressive party. Not the CONSERVATIVE party. Their track record speaks for itself. I'll be glad when someone pushes back against those tired Republican talking points. _"I did not say Jim Crow was better..."_ I just proposed, and repeatedly emphasized, that the black family did best under its jurisdiction. The clearest example of "difference" without a distinction. We've seen this type actor before, a cynical opportunist who feigns concern about a community of people he actually subverts for position and pecuniary benefit. What's particularly insidious in Donalds' case is that he's from the caribbean and has no familial linkage to the 100+ year oppressive reign of Jim Crow.... and that's apart from his "mixed" marriage and contrived concern about black family welfare. His confidence game is of the short variety. When his masters decide he's outlived his utility he will find himself in the heap of discarded useful idjits who've lost their person and community.

Yeah, I was trying to find some information about his family ties and saw that his mom is from the Caribbean, but I couldn't find anything about his dad, but with how tight the Caribbean community tends to be (I am a black American with ties going back to the original enslaved people coming over), I just assume his dad is also from one of the islands. And the black father being outside of the home is just as high if not higher depending on which island you are are and they also tend to have children with multiple women.
So how his he talking any mess about the US, when every Caribbean country is more conservative than the US. Being gay is still illegal in almost every country or only just recently was ruled unconstitutional.
But he is a black republican and they are ignorant of facts.
