This is the same bullet I’m using for my 300 blk loads and they work great! I’ve read a lot of negative about these bullets in a ar platform regarding feeding issues and I have had nothing but great luck with them. Loaded them with lil gun @19.1 gr and cfe blk @23 gr with all converted lc and pmc brass trimmed to 1.363”. This is a fantastic bullet for 300 blk! Great video!

Thanks for the comment. I never did settle on a final load with Lil Gun, as the 3rd video was difficult. I snowshoed into the range and basically everything gave me trouble on the day, cameras, Eotech, chrono, etc. And then for all the trouble I went to, the video was a dud on views, so I put the bullets on the shelf and they've sat there for two years and I moved onto other projects. However, I have prepped brass and when I have time I am happy to revisit it and finish it off, but this time I think I will try Win 296 powder instead.

Your probably well past this, but I should note, Sierra, and Hodgdon load data uses Hornady brass. Hornady 300 Blackout brass weighs a full 11.2 grains LESS than Starline 300 Blackout brass. Meaning you have a lot less capacity with Starline.
I reduced all starting and max loads by 1.3 grains loads to account for this when using Starline brass as compared to data worked up with Hornady brass.

Any chance lil gun could work for 5.56? 55gr fmj. I just picked up a lb of lil gun for my 450 bushmaster 200gr hc and i was curious if this powdwr would cycle in my m4. Im new to loading so im just starting to understand the burn rate X projectile weight and their relationship. I love loading! Just finished loading 10mm auto. 220gr hard cast (rim rock bullets/buffalo bore supplier) over 4.5gr unique. I pushed it to 4.7gr and it felt too hot. Didnt notice any pressure signs but thats a big chunk of lead for 10mm and i had to back off at 4.7gr of the unique powder. For my 450 bushmaster loads with lil gun, i have a 200gr HC. Looking for high speed/deep penetration for hunting large/dangerous game. Anyway.. any advice on lil gun and 556 or 223 just let me know kindly. Thanks in advance.

I don't think using Lil Gun in 5.56 would be a good idea, IMHO. I think it's meant for shorter chunkier cases and burns too fast for longer skinnier cases. Especially when new to the game I would stick with established recipes and work from there. There are lots of other powders that would work in 5.56. I only just recently purchased a 5.56 rifle for the first time and all the stuff to reload for it, so I will be doing something with it on the channel this winter, so stay tuned. 1st load I know will be 55g Hornady FMJ.

@@wanneroo7106 awesome man.. im looking forward to that video. Yeah i couldnt find anything for lil gun w/ 5.56. I need another powder. Varget is amazing, the last round of 300 cases i did 62gr bthp match 5.56. I loaded the case as perscribed with 1.6cc varget and it cycled great, only downside is you only get 280 (or so) reloads out of 1lb of that powder. At 52$ for varget.. ill look for a alternative. I have loaded some VERY accurate berrys 55gr fmj with the old hercules 2400 and it doesnt produce enough gas to cycle. So its 1 shot at a time..manual. but highly accurate. Ill stay tuned.
