    I have the same power meter. I also wanted to change the cranks for carbon ones. Contacted Megene, they said they're cranks are proprietary and no other cranks would fit😢😢😢.

      @RobbArmstrong1  2 месяца назад

      Yup, I’d sell it and get the Megene crank, which allows 8-bolt arms to be attached. Thats the route I’m going.

    Do you have another set of crank arms you are going to try with the Magene power meter? I also have the Magene and want some lighter crank arms

    • @RobbArmstrong1
      @RobbArmstrong1  6 дней назад +1

      I do not. My plan is to sell this one and get the other Version PowerMeter, which accepts 8-bolt cranks.

    Purchased them because though I have read they are the same as the Lexon's, however these look better. Also purchased the correct Power meter (Sigeyi AXO Easton Road Power Meter) since I have been researching this for some time. Plan to install them on a SL8 I am building. Fact is if you are looking to cut weight cheaply, this is the best option in terms of cranks. The other option will cost you more and won't work with the Magene. Would suggest you return or sell the other crank set and power meter (Magene)

    • @RobbArmstrong1

      That’s the plan. Get the 8-Bolt Magee PwrMeter crank option.
      What *Group and BarSystem you running on that SL8? 👀

      Finally installed them and have no issue. Wrongly thought I would need spacers on the drive side (3mm) but needed none. You do have to be careful you don't strip the bolts especially the one to set to preload.

    Are you going to get another 162.5? I'm interested in knowing how they feel. Your saddle will need to go up too. Only raise it the difference of the crankarm . Remember, Pogacar rode 165 in this years Tour de France. If your saddle goes up, your hips go up, so your head and shoulders will go down when you ride. You will have a flatter back and be more aero. I went from 170 to 167.5 this year. Maybe I'm wrong, but I really feel like I'm getting more power to the pedals. Let us know what you think in this regard. Going to 162.5 is significant. Some track racers go that way, but most stick to 165. I would keep the Magene power meter.

    • @RobbArmstrong1
      @RobbArmstrong1  2 месяца назад

      The Magene PwrMeter looks GREAT! On the fence if I will keep this specific one. They make another m, which accepts 8-Bolt Cranks. I’m thinking to sell this one and get that because I already have a light-weight crank for it.
      If I make something work and get another crank I’ll probably go 167.5 or stay at 170. The 162.5 was a HUGE gamble and at that time I was up for it, 😆 but I’ve been riding the 165 on the VAM for a min and I’m like meh, 🤷🏽‍♂️ not good or bad but my Madone, Allez, & S5 all have 170s and I’m *really comfy on those. We shall see how things transpire. Appreciate the thorough feedback! 🙏🏾

      Most stick to 165 as that’s what was available from bigger brands. My bikes come with 172.5, I have tried 170,165 and now 160. My hips thanks the crank arms everytime I ride. I wish bottom bracket drop on bikes was more now that everyone understands the importance of proper crank length

    This is exactly the same crank as the Lexon R1 crank. Like I said the Magene P505 power meter doesn’t fit, but you can modify the power meter to fit the crank.

      😮, to my understanding you just have to remove one *oversized notch, correct? Then the rest of the notches on the Crank should align with the Spider. ✅

      Mmmm, yea I’ll personally pass on that one, ☹️ I’m gonna sell this PwrMeter meter then get the exact same one that accepts 8-bolt cranks. I already have a light weight 8-bolt crank on the VAM. I’d be an easier swap for me.

    ROCKBROS really enjoy throwing their logo all over their products. These cranks and cybrei are much of a muchness but I'd pay the extra to go with Cybrei because the branding on these ROCKBROS is too much and should come with a marketing/advertising discount for the buyer.

    I have to admit, seldom do I get angry watching a bike part video, never happens.. until now, your video is how a non functional cheap Chinese crank looks? Never fitted to a bike, bottom bracket or chain ring. What,,? Is the follow up video about customer service or great shipping companies? What is it compatible with? Power meter is not a chainring set.. what use is any crank that won't work w Shimano and Sram standard parts?
