Was I the only one who DIED when Magnus' cats were Church and Chairman Meow? Because I WAS LITERALLY SQUEALING. I felt like the other dimension was cheating in a way. The alternate universe referenced the books so much more than the regular dimension in many ways, and it had a lot of humor and little bits that you would only appreciate if you read the books. Only readers would know about Church or Chairman meow. Or that portals in the books are basically as they are in the alternate dimension. Or that Luke is SUPPOSED to be running a bookstore. Also: was anyone else completely expecting the f*cking 'thats my father' thing?

Like Clary and Jace took over the body of the alternate Clary and Jace, but when they went through the portal their bodies look like they were destroyed and then on the other side of the portal they returned to their normal bodies. So did alternate Clary and Jace bodies just EXPLODE and they're dead in their realm? I was so confused. WHERE ARE THEIR BODIES?????

I personally like the movie more because they got more of the facts straight but, your videos make me appreciate the tv show more. I'm still on the 4rth book and now every time I try to imagine the characters, their tv show appearance pops up and I can't go back to the way I imagined them the first time I read the books. +Pedro Rosado My question about this theory is how would Valentine know to go in that box and disguise himself? He didn't know they were coming. He might've heard Jace screaming but you can't identify someone from their screams. That's what doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe on the Michael Wayland + Valentine front, Valentine has shapeshifted into Michael Wayland so he's 'rescued' and brought to the institute. That could be one of the reasons Lydia shapeshifted into Valentine when she was introduced so we're familiar with shadowhunters being able to do that, and it would explain why when Clary thought of her dad they went to what we assume is Chernobyl but didn't find Valentine, they found Michael instead?
i think Michael Wayland was Valentine with one of those runes that Lydia used when she first walked into the institute. The ones that give them Tessa like shapeshifter powers.

I heard a theory that the Michael Wayland they found in Chernobyl was actually Valentine (using the weird shadowhunter shape shift powers from the show, like when Lydia turned into Valentine) and he's gonna use that disguise to infiltrate the institute

I enjoyed this episode so much, I absolutely loved the slightly flamboyant Alec, and the Malec moment with the switched lines 😱😱 it was so good I was squealing so much throughout this episode. I loved it

I think that the rune Lydia used the shape shifting is what valentine is using to look like Michael
But Michael recognized Jace when they found him.

Most people seem to think its Valentine using the shapeshifting rune to look like Michael Wayland
Ohhhh that makes so much sense
Maybe on the Michael Wayland + Valentine front, Valentine has shapeshifted into Michael Wayland so he's 'rescued' and brought to the institute. That could be one of the reasons Lydia shapeshifted into Valentine when she was introduced so we're familiar with shadowhunters being able to do that, and it would explain why when Clary thought of her dad they went to what we assume is Chernobyl but didn't find Valentine, they found Michael instead?
i think Michael Wayland was Valentine with one of those runes that Lydia used when she first walked into the institute. The ones that give them Tessa like shapeshifter powers.

+Allister Hawkins One great thing about Christine is her enthusiasm and positive attitude, and that is a beautiful thing. Watching this almost made me want to like the episode a little more.
But I looked for this video expecting the same thing, especially after her and Tash's review of episode 9. At least someone got some pleasure out of it. Frankly, it just made me sob in disappointment.

and the Magnus commercial... but maybe they were taking that thing from city of heavenly fire where they go into Edom and this demon makes them have those dreams of their "most overwhelming desire" or something because Clary's was dream similar to the alternate dimension thing. and also did you notice that the coffee truck was called "Java Jace" and then the handshake i just was crying by then... and then his reaction to the demon!!!!!

Same, the alternative universe was so beautiful they looked so happy.. Sizzy was everything how can I go back to the sad "real" world when we have perfect wonderful Simon and Izzy being beautiful however she is and and the inverted roles with Malec, Clace had actual chemistry that was new to me and I was in the most ridiculous heaven.. I want to stay there

i think that valentine is just using that shape shifter rune- so that he doesn't blow his cover, and i think tat maybe he also used the rune when he was raising Jace??? IDK
I have a theory, you know how they can use the shape shifting runes in the show? "Michael Wayland" is actually just Valentine with the rune. That must be why Jace couldn't recognize Valentine as who he really was. Clary was thinking of Valentine, and she actually did find him. And they're still probably going to use the incest storyline somehow, I mean it was the biggest plot twist.
