When Melodrama came out, I was in nyc discovering what it meant to be free, just as Lorde was. Our generation will forever be grateful for her narration of our experiences.

I like that this isn't rushed. Usually when I watch most of these interviews I have to pause a bit after each answer to assimilate what they said before moving on to the next one. This one is definitely better and calmer

I like that this isn't rushed. Usually when I watch most of these interviews I have to pause a bit after each answer to assimilate what they said before moving on to the next one. This one is definitely better and calmer

The thing is...it's not free. It's an attempt to gain goodwill that may make money later, free advertising, or as part of a business deal. The reason poor people don't get that stuff is that economically they provide nothing for those people or companies. The hard truth.

Eddie Van Halen said the same thing when he gave a bunch of expensive guitar equipment to an up-and-coming musician who'd been opening for them.
