this is an amazingly useful tutorial, but one important part is left out: how do you animate the little car? say with this rig, how do you follow a curve and automatically rotate the wheel and make the car fall over in the corners? i did it on my own, but i can't do it with this rig. so i would like to see the continuation of the video.

I think that at 15:29 you could turn on snapping and change it to face project to align it perfectly with the car, but I'm not entirely sure on how it works

It take me more than 16 min ( 2-3h to get it but yes!!!!!!! finaly) also sometimes when you use symetric thins on the controler there a reversed : insted of *3 put *-3 for the right wheel (I Was on 4.01)
What to do if my cars have separate parts like, doors, boot, bonet, bump front and bump rear, windscreen, etc, this is for game called gta San Andreas definitive edition, I have file in gltf format , I want to give you model and you can check what going on this model, please help
I find it strange you didn't show how to get the eyes and lids to match the window properly. I mean, for beginners this is not really easy. Perhaps using the already existing window was easier. Settings up the bones perhaps more finicky because of the angle. But you always rotate the window glass sheet first to flatten it and than rotste it back at the end
hey man great tutorial, i've been having trouble with loop cuts, mouse wheel wont add loops, do you know any workaround? everything on google wont work
@@vxgym sadly no. Something broke and nothing works while on loopcut tool. Tried using shortcut and selecting from T menu. Mousewheel nor numpad or keyboard works
it happened with me also, solution: - first check the global position of the object and rig, because symmetry only works on X axis! -than: the wheel drivers have to be changed from: location*3 to location*-3 , (minus 3 tines) in the drivers at the other side, for the correct wheel turning ( forward each while on each side goes forward). if you have separated geometry for the car, like tires , doors ect, when you do the parenting to the bones with empty, you should do for all the separated objects, and you have also assign not just the action bone, but also for the root bone each time, than lamps wont be twisting out from car body. it helped for me. maybe it helps for you also.

Wonder why you used this mechanism vs a more easier using simply rotation. Was that to teach the transform constraint?

What's the reason for deleting the base bone from the armature and than adding it again?!
Also, duplicating the first one you setup and then use snap to cursor use offset is faster than adding and shrinking I think

You can find it in keymaps. Perhaps it not working correct there. You can search be operator or key combo
with loop cut activated, type number on numpad or number row like 10 and it should work
