I think the most difficult thing is to clean the mesh. All the non manifolds.
Me: takes 3 hours to delete the default cube

Dont worry about time at first :3
Focus on techniques and once ur familiar to them, challenge yourself to create something and in a month u can see your time improve by atleast 80% if ur dedicated :3
I started at the end of june and i could do extremely good at 1st month. U can do it too
Okay, for any beginner who's trying to get into 3D, don't sweat it! This guy has lots of years of practice behind him. Repeat after me: Lot's. Of. Years. And this is brilliant by the way, I loved it! Cheers.
At the same time he's not really using any crazy advanced techniques here. It's pretty straight forward and a very good exercise for a beginners I feel.
Edit: It just took me 48 minutes to follow along 4 minutes of the video... so, maybe not for beginners then but perhaps intermediates? I've been doing this since 19th of february this year.
@@Mocorn that's the brilliant part: simple techniques used effectively that's how you know he has experience. I mean he doesn't really stop to "think" while doing it, so he's got it all (or most of it) in his head. :) Glad you could learn from him. So could I.

yes after some large calculations they spend total 45 seconds on that. Beacuse they have bigger pc and big budget

Something I believe is underappreciated is the way you connect the music with some of the cars, that was fun
saying what buttons you are pressing really makes a lot of difference to the experience of watching this as a tutorial. This was really really well done than you sir..
Thank you! I try to say them as much as possible but I say the wrong thing at times so double check with the Screencast Keys display.
@@Imphenzia You talking about what hotkeys you use and even sometimes why/what function is really helpful for me as a beginner. It helps to show the tools and how to use them. When I model I often find myself wanting to do something, but I cant figure out a easy way to do it.
Just slow it down to 0.25 and you have yourself a good tutorial :)

That's great to hear! It's great to hear people can use these as tutorials, I thought I'd get a lot of flak from "your tutorial is too fast" but they weren't created to be tutorials. But the fact they CAN be used as tutorials is super cool!

I actually tried this method of modeling and texturing and I made a little car in under 30 minutes and it was very fun. I'm going to start doing low poly models like this cuz I'll be making a game and I want it to be simple so that slow computers can run it and this works so well!
If anyone is having trouble with the Ctrl + shift + - segment. Be sure to recalculate your normals to the outside. In edit mode select all and push alt + N and recalculate to the outside.

Next time 2 cars in 50 minutes... then 4 cars in 25... repeat and improve :)
I started with Blender about 3-4 years ago, before that I used 3DSMax at a very basic level. I still don't even know how to render in Blender (except just a viewport render more or less), I use it for modeling and animation of low poly so far.
DAYUM... who knew fast modeling 10 low poly cars would be so intense! :D
I wish I could like this more than once, I'll have to make do with a ❤. Brilliant work!

Hi, happy to have you as a sub - thanks =) I think I started with Blender 3-4 years ago and it's only the last year that I've started to use it much more frequently than before so with repetition it's possible to go quite fast =)

I tried shift + ctrl + numpad - but it didn't seem to work.
It's an add on, found in another comment. You need to activate it in Edit -> Preferences -> Add Ons -> Instead of "All" change
"Objects" -> Check "Bool Tool". This function is added in 2.8 and it needs to be activated.

10 minute modelling challenge for you, 10 hour modelling challenge for me.. (Most of which thinking "what thing do I do to get it to do that thing"). You've only recently been suggested by the great RUclips AI, but great content. Thank you.
Interesting to see how you've grown in technique and approach from your earlier videos. Loop tools for the wheel well is clever and using linked objects saves time on colouring. Auto mirror is also nice for automatically cutting the objects. I don't see a way to shave off much time here honestly. This was really tight and crazy inspiring! :)
Edit: I just went through and followed along this video step by step. It's taken me about 48 minutes to get to 4m4s in the video but I've got a complete car now and I've learned quite a lot of new things. This video is chock full of tips and tricks even if it it's not intended as a follow along video for beginners. Plus, it's very fun! Have to leave for work now though =)
Yes, this is actually helping me a lot(!) I get loads of tips in the comments that will speed up my modeling further so that's great! Cool that you are repeating the process too, that's a great way to learn I think :)

I just started learning blender and just cgi in general. All my life I did not know what I wanted to do for a living. I’ve tried many things, music, gaming, mechanical production maintenance etc. I’m not 34 and I finally know what I want to do for a living.

Hi, I have to learn to animate a bit better. I can keyframe animate for games, but not so much for animating scenes within Blender itself.
Most tutorials I've encountered were about making hyper-realistic or high poly models, and I finally found someone that gets it. I just want to make a quick 3D game for fun, and used to think modeling would take too much time, you changed that. Thank you.

I enabled the Bool Tool modifier and used the hotkey from that.

(if someone was thinking avout them colors: in shader editor:
add texture coordinate, mapping and image texture before principled bsdf.. link uv to vector, vector to vector, color to base color and link your pic in image texture)
