They are rated to the same thrust for the A320. The A321 may have more thrust, especially the PW1000G, but on the A320 they are the same thrust rating.

Apart from the "voice" at thhe take-off, A320NEO is audibly less noisy than CEO (seat 8E of exactly that plane, a few hours ago from Paris). More thrust and overall performance for the plane, too!
NEO has a really boring noise, no buzz-saw at all when sitting in front of the wing. What do we get instead? A high pitched nauseating whine. Just replaced one noise with another.
@@RituSharma-wy4wm aviation enthusiast aren’t here to ramble on about “noise pollution” just like most car enthusiasts aren’t keen on how quiet their car is at full throttle

Fans on the Ceo are running on sound speed thats why they roar so loudly and becaude Neos Engines a re thick AF they dont need to spin that fast so they dont roar.
as a Boeing 737 person, I can say that if you want a cheap 777 that flies, go on the A320NEO. Other than that, it's just the same plane but with big boi engines
I was on an A320NEO just today, the inside still feels like A320, but there was too much engine hum and vibration that makes it sound similar to a 777-300er. For an airplane that size, it's too much. I still like the CFM or IAE sound better even if it's louder on take-off.
I really appreciate that u used easyJet's aircrafts for this video... however, for sound I prefer the a320 CEO, but for flight experience and power and efficiency, I than prefer the a320 NEO...
I love the CEO CFM56 engines cuz they have a beautiful roar. But NEO sounds like 777x (GE90 engines) and I don't like the roar. What I only like in NEO CFM Leap engines is that they are more quieter than the CFM56 CEO engines
@@SOUTHENDAVIATION Yes you can hear it but only some time after takeoff through the climb. No buzz saw on takeoff as a passenger when sitting in front of the wing. Have you noticed it is replaced instead by a high pitched nauseating whine instead? How is that not annoying?
Airbus offers the sharklets also for the A320CEO versions as a conversion kit or installing them already on production aircraft if the customer desire them over the common winglets
I have got a video in the works comparing the CFMs and IAEs as now we have Wizzair at SEN. Personally I think the Bizzsaw on the CFM better but the IAEs have better sound starting up. Also once I have flown in all engine varients of the 320 I will do a videos comparing the noise levels of all engines.
Why can't we compare them? Yes they're 2 very different designs and are years apart but they both serve the same purpose, to power airliners. The major differences between them gives us every right to compare them because it shows how far aviation has come. Also the LEAP is not a geared turbofan, you're thinking of Pratt's PW1000GTF.
@@attilazk Not really, engines make most noise on takeoff and the initial climb. the higher the plane climbs the less noise it makes, and it makes no loud noise during the cruise.
Definitely the A320NEO engine. Since it is more powerful, more efficient (idk that one), and it's position is more to the top Edit: And good sound, less sound more quite
i actually flew with a low cost airline which has cfm leap 1a engine. i hate when the sound get louder and louder when it takes off but i like the fan also.

The neo's best advantage is that airlines can shove as many passengers on the same airframe without requiring additional runway to takeoff.

Neo spool up like 777,s GE90

Because CFM is a part of GE Aviation .
Not even close to the sound of a GE90. More similar to Trent 900 or PW4084.
More like pw 4090
