I've been a Roxy Music for 15 years but have recently just found the courage to give side B of the debut album another shot. This one takes the cake for me there.
Now that is a band!
Paul's drumming is superb throughout the whole song... but at the beginning it's wow.....just wow!
have seen them then in Hamburg, amazing entry of Bryan Ferry, like a crooner with jungle music in the background, first time I have seen a "rock" band like this..

Thanks so much for finally digging this up. I've been looking for this for years. So much better than the album version. Although Eno relegated to tambourine and backup vocals could be one of the reasons he split.

Embarrassed to say this but I didn't realize that bands played at The Bataclan in the 70's. How old is this venue?
Brings me to tears this one, towards the end.
And that winter..We've found us standing close to each other (1979) You said tender .."You know. .I got..used to have .I mean..its not over..a family ..a husband..He..felt the change in me ..before you met me.." ...I was watching our traces in the snow as we walked away..apart and then again our coats seemed to ..like we didn't exist physical. Our coats..walked hand in hand.. "These traces will disappear..very soon..You...could love somebody..or will..me...too..perhaps..Some love stay forever.. but what is that..that happens to us.. happened..why we find ourselves that unspoken in sin we havn't chosen..Even while we just stand close to each other its something between us..that distance..space between makes such magnetic for us to destroy it..and make us.....my only love
