@Dr Mantis Toboggan M.D. 💯 on everything you said. I am guilty of "TROLLING" RUclips reactors just to see them when they hear Chris Stapleton for the first time.😂🤣😂lol They all say the same thing "I was not expecting that voice when looking at the album cover picture." Watching Chris play live ups the jaw dropping a thousand times. 🤩🤩🤩

I knew, just knew the second he started singing, you were going to put the other headphone on! Great reaction! He didn't write the song, but arranged it. His wife Morgaine sings harmony on this, I'm sure he sang it to her.
That woman that is making him sing his heart out is none other then the woman doing backup... his wife Mrs. Morgane Stapleton! She has an incredible voice all by herself, but together , they are magic!! Congratulations on baby #5 Chris and Morgane!!

This man is amazing. Just listen and watch when you can. He plays the guitar and his wife is his backup singer, they have 5 children. I would love to see him in person at a concert but I can't afford the price. But I watch him and listen to him all the time. I hope you appreciate him like I do. He relates to life.
If u watcg it live, you'll see her. She's the back up singer, his wife. He is very nervous singing in a crowd, he has has to have her there to be able to do it. It's actually a beautiful thing. He's got more soul in his voice than just about anybody.
Keep doing Chris Stapleton. "I was wrong", "sometimes I cry"(live at bing lounge), "death row", "man's world" ( James Brown cover), "millionaire", "daddy don't pray anymore". That's just to start with, and him live, is frickin ridiculous! He has a strong blues/ soul/ r&b influence to go with country. His covers are of James Brown, Aretha, Prince and you can hear the Al Green, Sam Cooke, and old gospel influence in his style. Oh Yeah..... that breeze you felt is your girl's drawers being thrown at Chris!!!!
You need to hear Chris Stapleton version of the star spangled banner at the Super Bowl he is singing about his wife who sometimes does back up vocals when he’s on tour
The woman who inspires him is also the woman responsible for his voice sounding so good. That would be his wife and accompanying (I won't say backup) singer Morgane. She is as talented as he is. her control to match his voice and knowing where to go lighter etc. is at a real high level.
I luv luv luv seeing people discover Chris Stapleton there always shocked and i havent seen one person yet that didnt just love his voice an his music!!! I hope you will react to more of his songs obviously you wont regret it!! Great reaction!
Chris started as a professional songwriter in Nashville. That's where he met Morgane who would later become his wife and backup singer. She is a hell of a great singer in her own right (see You Are My Sunshine - Morgane Stapleton). The most amazing thing about Chris is even live he make his great voice look effortless. He's got a voice that's as smooth as Tennessee whiskey.
The chick he's singing to is his wife. That's her singing background vocals. It is him in the picture. He's also playing the guitar in the song. Chris Stapleton is One of of the most talented musicians of all time
He’s from my hometown and not only is he a fabulous vocalist he’s an all around great human! Recently he donated a tractor trailer load of music equipment to the high school and has done many things to help out in the hills of eastern Kentucky.
The song was originally sang in 1981 but, it wasn't sang anywhere near the way Chris sings it. If I had to assume who Chris is singing about, I'd say it would be his wife. She's the female voice singing along with him in this song.
Love watching people react to Chris for the first time!!! That's his wife Morgane singing background!! That's how he looks seriously. Welcome to the world of Chris Stapleton 🔥🔥🔥🔥 #diehardchrisstapletonfan 🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤

That consist of artist like the great Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willed Nelson, and my favorite Hank Williams Jr. I would put Chris Stapleton in that genre of country music. Eventually, I came around to loving much of country music. All those voices I have heard , in country from Vince Gill to Keith Whitley, who left us far to early. All the voices I heard in rock n roll, R&B, Soul, etc. Chris Stapleton has a voice that is better or as good as I ever heard in 40 year of listening to music. My daughter bought me the greatest Bday present , she could buy. We went to see him in Knoxville, Tn. And trust me. He sounds as good , live as he does in studio. in 30 year of going to rock and country concert's . He is the best live act I seen. If you ever get the opportunity to go see him live. Watch him live. See the way he looks at his wife. You'll have no doubt who he's singing about. About half the babies in the south over the past few years been concieved to this song.
You’ve got to check out his live performance of this song with his wife, the love of his life, at Austin City Limits. During that set, he also does “I Was Wrong”. The three minute guitar solo at the end is pure genius. Also check out “Sometimes I Cry” live at the bing lounge. Death Row, Millionaire, anything from his Traveler album, but his live performances are the way to go. The power and range of his voice, his guitar playing, his lyrics all make him a living legend. He was born in Kentucky, lettered in six sports and was class valedictorian. He’s been a well respected songwriter for MANY years and his wife encouraged him to record, not just write for other people.
I LOVE how you put your headphone on after hearing the first line. Shows you, real talent is universally appreciated and this guy has got it in abundance.
I loved this! Chris crosses genre lines. He can sing country, bluegrass, rock and blues and no matter what he sings you feel it in your soul. I love first time reactions to him, especially when the person "gets it". He's actually friends with Justin Timberlake. Chris was on Justins song Say Something-(the video was done in one take) and they appeared together on the CMA's where they perform together on two songs. Tennesee Whiskey and Drink You Away. It's an epic live performance that I highly recommend. Also Barely Alive acoustic, Sometimes I Cry live at the Bing lounge, Death Row, and I Was Wrong. Any of his live performances.
Same notes/ progression as I'd Rather Go Blind by Etta James. I keep seeing where people say it reminds them of something they've heard before. Both beautiful and soulful
Bro he is so so so soulful . Him in person or live sounds the exact same his voice is amazing , you can tell the difference in someone who sings good and someone that pours their soul out Everytime they sing. Chris is all soul

His wife Morgan and him do a beautiful "You are my sunshine" it's actually very heartfelt and she sings on so many of his songs...thats who he singing to...

Chris' wife, Morgane Stapleton sings harmony in this song with him. She also sings duets and background in his band. They have four kids, and yes she is fond of him and his voice.

The best song for everything Chris Stapleton offers is "I was wrong" live from Austin City Limits. Shows off his vocals and has a kickass guitar solo that you haven't seen yet!!
There are two songs you have to hear by Chris Stapleton. Traveler and a song from when he was in a band called The Steeldrivers - Can You Run. Can You Run doesn’t display how well he can sing but shows how good of a songwriter he is. It took a few listens to figure out what he was talking about but once I did, it blew my mind. It’s one of those songs that will give you goosebumps every time you listen to it.
The woman he is singing about is his wife who is providing the harmony. You would be amazed at the other songs he has written. That includes a lot of other well known artists. Check out his stuff and you will be amazed at his chill.
Chris is one of my favorite artists...have always loved his version of Tennessee Whiskey. The original artist that made this song popular was George Jones, but this is my jam.
This song was written for his wife Morgane, who also sings backup on his songs. They have a beautiful relationship. And if you watch the live version, you can see the love between them.
Although Chris did this cover and completely made it his own the song was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove and recorded by David Allan Coe in 1981 and by George Jones in 1983. Chris seems to relate to the story and sings it with his lovely wife Morgane doing back up vocal. When they sing it, it feels like they lived it.
