i have black hair and im going to attempt to do this! In your first video you dyed it brown first but then had to bleach it, do i still include that first step or just go right into bleaching?
Hi babe! Definitely go right into bleaching your hair, especially since it is black to begin with! We tried to lift my virgin black hair with hair dye ONLY at first. But that was definitely not an effective step, so definitely go right into bleach if you have black hair too! 👏🏼🥰

@@MargoHepburn I am afraid leaving the bleach for 40 minutes will turn my head to a complete blonde, or a orangish yellowish one at least :(
Hey babe, I suggest you continuously check on your hair while the bleach is processing! It doesn’t have to be 40 mins exact but you can check when it’s processing and wash it out when you like the color! Just keeping in mind that pieces that you bleach in the bottom will process for longer than the pieces on top since you’re working from the bottom to top! hope this helps 💫
In your previous video when u used hilift colour- nothing happened- u had to bleach- and you achieved same results on your black roots without bleaching? Am i missing something:(
Hi! Hopefully I’m understanding you correctly, but in my first video the Hicoulor did not pick up on my hair BUT it did manage to dye my roots! We then used bleach on the rest of my hair to strip out the black. So moving forward to maintain my colour, I only dye my roots with the L’Oréal Hicolour hair dye & just tone my hair with WELLA toner! I hope this helps!! 🤍
