A neat suggestion which i'm planning to do on a desk project i'm working on. Cut the desk in half and make a cutout in the topside of the desk for the powerplay mat to be placed, so about .5cm of distance. Then you can have the mouse communicate with the powerplay mat and be charged through the desk and then have just the single large mouse pad for both the keyboard / mouse on your desk. Someone managed to keep the mouse working and charging with 80 A4 copy paper between the mouse and the power play mat 1 A4 sheet = 0.004" (0.1016mm) so 80 would be 0.32" (8.128mm). So like mentioned above, taking into account you have 8..128mm to work with, if you made the cutout and placed say the powerplay mat like 0.3cm under the topside of the desk then that should provide ample room for you to place a mouse mat on top of the desk and still have the mouse charging and working fine. Gamer Nexus show a tear-down of the Powerplay mat. at 13:30 he takes apart the main housing on the mat, so if you were struggling for space, you could take that piece out of the housing and fit it snuggly inside of the desk and of course also turn off the RGB leg panel in the GHub software, as no point having it turned on and wasting power consumption, if its stuck underneath your desk out of sight. ruclips.net/video/YBAzfflwDdU/видео.html&ab_channel=GamersNexus
Not that I would do it to my desk but if you are handy with a router you could route the desk so the charging mat sits flush with the rest of the desk and then have a full size mat over the top, would be clean!
Yea I did this with cork board few years back. worked really well but because I stuck it on with double sided tape it's a pain In the ass to clean! so I might try your method thanks bud 👍
@@Scoby I got a roll of 3mm cork board from amazon for $25. It is unfortunately just a tad bit higher than the powerplay mouse pad though. I wish I could find 2.5mm cork board! it would be perfect! It is still very usable as is though. I have mine sideways taking the whole bottom right corner under my LTT desk mat. Works great!
@@ZeorGaming this is old but might I suggest you add layers of tape to the bottom of the powerplay mat to raise it to the same level as the cork board?
Google is your friend. Easy to cut to size and cover with any mat you fancy. Pressed Cork board with a thickness of 3.0 mm. Size: 300 x 100 mm. Cost 13.80GBP plus £10GBP shipping. Thomman. Given the cost of a Powerplay and the Mouse, I dont think the investment is too bad.
You can, but my goal was that the keyboard and mouse were at the same level like with other desk pads. So you’re not limited to the space on your charging pad
dude battery life for lightspeed LG mouses are sooo huuge and good why even bother with this stupid setup G903 even go more then 140h, just let is charge over night and you are ready to go

This is what I did. Best decision is much better than two mats.
What kind of corkboard were you looking at that the cost was prohibitive?

Cork board was my backup option, just seemed to be way more expensive!

How could you destroy the Firewatch Tower mouse pad?😢
You could try hot glue or super glue to avoid having to reposition the mats every time you drag your wrist too hard
Use the tacky fabric glue
How long your 502 last before the switches die?
i've had mine since dec 2021 and going strong
Nice
Why can’t you just put the Logitech pad under the xl . Why do you need the extra pad ?
