I've had this item in my cart for what seems to be 2 years now. It's a really nice to have item, but it costs just as much as a new mouse so it's a really hard pill to swallow. Maybe if logitech decides to cut its price in half it would be a really compelling upgrade. 😮💨
@@sainenko Feeling that. I found one barely used at a online marketplace in my country for about 60 bucks, so I jumped on it. I woudn't in a million years pay almost 200 bucks for a mousepad
I’ve had this dilemma for a few years too. Used was $60-80 while new at Best Buy, as of today, was $95+tax. Given the product has a 2 year warranty and I get an additional 2 from my credit card, I opted to go new.
Bought one this black friday, Amazon deal was at 81eu... expensive but i am a poweruser that works from home that has too switch setup often, from home desktop to work laptop, so the extra receiver comes in handy.
I love the idea of the power play mat but with how incredible the super lights battery is I just don’t think it’s worth the money, especially with that 3rd party dock people are buying to make charging way more convenient
I completely get it, and the mat is very expensive without too much customization ability (large, no extended version, cannot adjust side of cable, etc.). I think in the future they will bring out cooler revisions with wireless charging for other devices, then something like this would shine!
i've been extremely curious about this. have you tried placing a third party mousepad over the charge pad? i am more into the XL mouse pads but i would love to just slide this pad underneath it.?
@@Scoby nice. im torn in between getting a razer mouse and its charging dock or a logitech mouse and the powerplay. sadly where im from ill have to import the powerplay where as there isnt gonna be any warranty :(
In the end I got two mousemats and cut one to the size of the Powerplay mat and put the second one on top, I'll link it here if you're interested; ruclips.net/video/MRR4VwkhOzU/видео.html
The hard surface is designed to be used as a "hard surface". It won't damage the mouse. The real problem with this pad is the high raised edge at the bottom that will dig into your wrist. The razer firefly V2 tapers down and is perfect. Really disappointing.
No, I was worries your mouse would damage the surface under the mousemat if no mousemat was used, but yeah I could see the wrist position being uncomfortable
Agreed, I made a mod where I overlay two large mousemats. The bottom one has a cut out for this, then the top one sits flush. It means it only charge in a small area, but is still useable over a larger surface
What is all over your desk? There's even more gunk all down your front? Think I got sepsis just looking at that mouse. My dude by a 99p fabric duster before a £99 fabric mousepad please.

My guy, appreciate the support! :)

I am in the eact same position as OP. Who wants to pay more for a wireless charging solution than what they piad for the original product.

Try and find a used one just ordered one £50 with everything included 👍🏼

If there was a xl pad I would buy. I prefer larger pads as I use slower sens
Would you be able to put the charging pad with out the Logitech included pad and use your own xl extended pad ?
can i use a razor mouse on this pad? does it charge it to or just the Logitech ones?

Fuck this mouse pad. The pads that they supply with it wear out within 12 months and you can't buy replacements.
That’s just cap lol
my pad is not charging my 502 mouse and it seems to be a common issue. Any fixes for that please?

It’s funny you mention that; ruclips.net/video/MRR4VwkhOzU/видео.html
can i charge two mice at the same time even if only one is paired to the mouse pad?
perfect, reciever on the left side ! In right handed world for left handed person finally something good
I almost bought this mousepad but honestly the logitech mouse alone was good enough for me
That's fair, honestly I love it, but for most people I'd say just got a normal mat, the battery life is good enough anyways 😅
hows the powerplay been so far? any glitches or it has been working perfectly?
For me it's been working perfectly, no issues, glitches or disconnects :)

As for the size of the mat, you can just put it underneath a larger mousepad.

Does the razer firefly v2 charge the device?
its great if your willing to buy a new one every 6 months to a year . im on my 3rd one atm
Oh that's not great, should be covered under warranty no? Still no issues with mine ^
It’s a hella old product I think Logitech just has a shit tonne of that fitting
Personally I'm happy it doesn't have usb-c, I don't have to get a usb hub
Not worth more than I paid for the g502 to charge 💀
Yeah, it's a tough purchase tbh, the battery life on logi mice are already quite good as well 😅
not gonna buy it, cool idea but mouse pad is way too small
