I remember this commercial and it's nice seeing clips from Disney movies like Alice in Wonderland and Melody Time. But it's nice seeing Donald, Pluto and Goofy.
I think I remember actually owning the records for some time. We had them transferred onto cassette tape so we could listen to it in the car. In fact, my family still owns those albums!
Boy, do I ever remember these phonograph records! We have them at home! I even vaguely recall the commercial. We transferred the content of the records onto cassette tape to listen to in the car. And I know what that man singing in several of them is: it's Larry Groce.
I actually remember borrowing the fourth album on cassette from a friend of mine when I was 5 years old. Obviously, side A ended with "it's a small world" and side B began with "Camping" which was probably written for the album.
You probably had a bad needle on your phonograph. Children's phonographs (except Fisher-Price's, which used a diamond needle) usually had sapphire needles which wore out in only a few months. A worn needle, regardless of material, will cut the record's grooves from the inside and make the record sound awful while leaving no apparent scratches.
This was before they made a fourth in 1990. They still produce these. They're available on iTunes. I have the book up in my room. I've been wondering where those random Disney character cutouts originated that I discovered about eight years ago.
ROFL My mom was going to order these for me when I was little but they played the commerical so much, whenever it'd come on I'd change the channel cause the commerical was so long I got sick of it. It feels like it's on for 15 minutes when you're in the middle of watching a show and want to know what happens 'after these messages'. lol
I swear, Disney trailers are not the same without him. His voice got you excited for a Disney movie coming to theaters. My favorite will always be Aladdin.
HOLY CHRISTMAS I HAD ONE OF THEM!! I TOTALLY remember that commercial!! omg what a blast from the past.. I'm not sure which one it was, but there was a song on it that i never forgot.."AND THE GREEN GRASS GREW ALL AROUND AND AROUND AND THE GREEN GRASS GREW ALL AROUND" I still have this song burnt into my memory sung by the kids on these albums to this damn day lol
I TOTTALY MADE THESE and i forgot theyre called meme favroutes with these songs songs ppap we all stand together the best dang brother anywhere around and the ones i mentioned on my comment
I had volumes 1 & 3 on lp. Looby Loo shows Alice In Wonderland Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, This Old Man also Alice In Wonderland Walrus and The Carpenter scene, Skip To My Lou Ichabod and ... What was the name of the Donald Duck/Chip and Dale cartoon when Sailing Sailing played.
I remember this came back as "Disney Favorites", but with songs from the movies, starting with Hi-Ho from Snow White, and ending with Beauty and The Beast. I remember being caught off-guard by one part of the commercial... *_THE CIIIIIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!_*
Larry Groce is one of my favorite children's song artists!
I remember this commercial from my childhood. Can't believe it's been over 35 years now!
I remember this commercial and it's nice seeing clips from Disney movies like Alice in Wonderland and Melody Time. But it's nice seeing Donald, Pluto and Goofy.
Larry Groce retired from hosting a West Virginia show. His kids' music lives on!
That moose always made me laugh. I specifically looked this up.
Man this brings me back to my childhood 😃
I think I remember actually owning the records for some time. We had them transferred onto cassette tape so we could listen to it in the car. In fact, my family still owns those albums!

Wow. I remember this commercial. This was even before CD's were hip!
BTW, the voice actor for this commercial is Mark Eliot (RIP), famous for EVERY SINGLE GOD DAMN DISNEY TRAILER EVER!
I remember watching these commercials as a kid.... God knows my parents couldn’t afford to buy them for us!!
You were like me than. Lol. Real bottom babies.
Reminds me of Disney Sing Along Songs on VHS and DVD

Larry Groce was the Joe Scruggs of Disney.

I swear, Disney trailers are not the same without him. His voice got you excited for a Disney movie coming to theaters. My favorite will always be Aladdin.

The name of the Donald Duck/Chip and Dale cartoon when Sailing Sailing played was Chips Ahoy.
if tthere's only 3 records in this commercial when did the 4th one come out?
@TheHartzler most of them seem to be Larry Groce
There were 81 songs total.
But that doesn't include the fourth album.
They marketed the package features a lot more prior to the Renaissance, didn’t they?
I remember this came back as "Disney Favorites", but with songs from the movies, starting with Hi-Ho from Snow White, and ending with Beauty and The Beast. I remember being caught off-guard by one part of the commercial...
*_THE CIIIIIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!_*
Are you sure it was "score", or is it "storm"?
ROFL! CD-ROM isn't even an option.
What did any of that have to do with Disney? :P And who is the singer? Sounds like John Denver.
The singer is Larry Groce.
Being put out by disney isn't enough for you?
Actually I thought there were 4 albums with 100 songs in all.
Brian Draney
The fourth album was released later.
uh-huh.
who is the singer of these songs?
larry groce and the disneyland childrens choir
