I'm 56 also ,,,and yeah , these guys definitely bring back the "good ole' days" feelings ,, Wish them all good things and much success. They seem to be level headed guys and come from "good stock" . Their folks did a good job ... 👏

In my opinion, I don’t think their music is an exact rip off of Zeppelin. If their music was instrumental, it’d just be sick, bluesy, catchy, and riffy rock music with a real vintage flair. The singer can’t help that he is a deadringer to Zeppelin; however, I think it’s incredible. Awesome band.

I love GVF but there is ZERO doubt that their first track is a rip off of Zeppelin I. There isn't an actual Zeppelin fan alive that doesn't hear it.
I think the same way it's similar but it's not exactly to be compared to Led Zeppelin
The band has footage out of them dressed like Led Zeppelin doing whole shows of their songs in highschool. Sounding like Led Zeppelin in tone but not quality isn't a coincidence.

Okay, this is the first interview I've watched where Josh let Jake speak so freely without trying so much to steal the glory. I like watching these guys mature and move forward. Fantastic voyage, Fleet!

Excellent band. Regardless of their Led Zeppelin sensibilities. They still posess a strong blues infusion of true talent. Good stuff
They also pull from Heart, ACDC, Rush, and so forth because they grew up on that kind of music as well as others. Also that is his voice and he so he isn't mimicking Plant. If you will listen you can hear Barry Gibb and the lead singer from Rush. It's an unique voice and I think we should all just be grateful this music is back!

I'm SO GLAD I took the time to watch some interviews w/these guys. It's so cool to see that someone else (Josh) knows as much about music as I do! That hasn't happened to me in years.
Kudos to the parents that raised their children in a home filled with music and literature!
So excited for this band and the return of dirty, bluesy rock. The best new music out there since the "grunge"/ Seattle movement. So young-thanks to their parents for exposing them to the greats (just assuming, have not yet watched their rise/ story. Jack White's ]111 man records would be a great label/ collaboration ..

THESE GUYS ARE A FAIRLY NEW GROUP WITH SOME WONDERFUL TALENT. WHAT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. THEY REMIND ME OF SO MUCH OF THE ROCK I GREW UP ON LIKE FROM AROUND 68 TO 79 ERA. DAMN IF I DONT GET THE GOOSEBUMPS WICKED. ESPECIALLY WITH THAT HIGHWAY NUMBER. WISHING YOU GUYS THE VERY BEST, SEEM LIKE A REAL NICE BUNCH OF NICE GUYS.

Saw these guys in concert in Rochester NY in May 2019 - each of them gives 200%! So you get 800% when you see them - fantastic!!

I just found out about these guys...like yesterday. It was a huge ass rock I was living under, don't ask. I'm stoked to see them come up and would love a bluesy zeppeliny feel to vibe to.
Why does josh sometimes sound like he's from Britain and other times sounds like he grew up in the Midwest?
He's channeling (obvious hero) Robert Plant.
Because he is from Michigan.. A lot of people from north Michigan have an accent similar to Canadians because they are so close to Canada..
Ryan W he's not from northern Michigan, I live in northern Michigan in the up, people don't really sound like that, he's from frankenmuth which is where I grew up, near flint its defiantly lower mid Michigan

Greta Van Fleet: If you like their sound good. If you don't, don't listen. Just that simple. Everyone borrows from someone else. There's no truer fact than that of Led Zeppelin. Sometimes its just good to enjoy the music with out being a stuffy critic.
Led Zeppelin basically stole most of their songs on the first two albums that they put out. A band called spirit put on a song called Taurus. The beginning of stairway is more for note and the same time signature as 'Tauras'. Robert had been at a couple of shows of spirits. Jimmy Page told Robert Plant that he should have changed the lyrics at least of the songs that they so-called borrowed from these great Blues players. I do still love Led Zeppelin but I don't have the same respect as I did prior to hearing these facts.
the smashing pumpkins are influenced by zeppelin and sound nothing like zeppelin OR gvf. literally SO many rock bands under various sub genres are inspired by them. who the hell isnt inspired be the best of the best! you’re spot on

I may just another comment you'll probably never see but if You can pass this to the band for Me......please tell them what they already know that they are incredible and inspirational. The music brings out many emotions good and sad but they never seem to fail me when it comes to being amazing, a future legendary band to sit alongside the rest of the legends once lived. I'm so proud of ya'll and we're not even related but we are human. Your so lucky and I hope thru it all You accomplish all You desire but never lose sight of yourselves or where You come from. Who ever has a problem with this band is completely out of their mind and knows nothing about music . So fresh and such well rounded musicians with amazing influences. And so what if his voice sounds familiar so what. Led Zeppelin is not playing any new shows anytime soon . So enjoy GVF .

When you think rock artists you think they are only rock listeners or influenced. I love how it's a bit of a mix of blues,rock,and classical inspirations is what influenced their music. They could even be listed as indie rock cause they have that variety that they don't have a certain label

I feel like they might request to not bring up Robert Plant in interviews because that will be the only thing the interviews will be about from thereon after. That's all anyone ever says online. but it's obvious they want to be known as themselves, which is why they don't want to bring it up.
Zepplin was so much heavier, such a NEW incredibly different "Devil music" at the time, where as what these guys play and sing can be played in an elevator or as background music in a grocery store as it can appeal to just about anyone. They ARE different. They are a rock group in this day and age. They are both just powerful singers, that's what they have in common.
Plant was so much more lower in his songs and steady beautiful flow. Josh has more of a gurgle sound but in a good way? Lol.
Lol. Stay away from the "devil music." It's true though, a lot of bands loved to play into that platform. I was actually scared to listen to "Burn in Hell" from Twisted Sister. I love to listen to it today, though.

Authentic theft - a concept I learned in architecture school. Creatives are ALL pulling from somewhere, NOTHING is truly unique as we are all inspired by something that came before us. It’s a beautiful thing, and we are surrounded by it every single second of every single day. These guys are no “rip off”… they have a rad sound and they’re fucking crushing it. They’re so refreshing in this age of auto tune and garbage.

Twins, but not identical. Their noses, mouths and eyes are slightly different.
That's the odd thing..........they claim to be identical twins and not fraternal
@@powermetal26 I guess you could call them identical? Even the most similar looking twins have different irises, so no one is exactly alike, yet we still use the term 'identical twins'. But their face shapes are pretty different and Josh's nose is wider and goes off centre a bit. Maybe they still qualify as identical, but even with similar haircuts and clothing you can tell them apart.
@@dikhed1983 being identical twins doesn't necessarily mean they're going to look like clones. All it means was that the sperm fertilized one egg that spilt into two vs two separate eggs becoming fertilized (fraternal)

It appears these brothers get along better than the Robinson brothers, so they should be good for awhile. And I don't see them as a Zeppelin clone. You 're ignorant of American music or are just jealous of their talent if you do. The singer hits high notes like Plant, but so what. Lots of rock singers have.
Did you know that "Kiszka" is a Polish word? It is pronounced like "keeshkah" (the "h" is silent) and it means: either "bummer" (like in "that's a bummer") or a colloquial way of saying "intestine", “gut” or even "blood sausage".
