Many of us have basically been following Angelina since she was first recorded singing at eighteen months of age. Through her adolescence and first trip to a sound booth at six years old recording four songs over a few weeks. Rolling In The Deep, Hurt, Sky Fall and most notably I Who Have Nothing which is well worth reacting to. Then her first public stage appearance on Norway’s Got Talent at age seven with her audition of Billie Holidays “Gloomy Sunday “. You obviously love Jazz. Angelina was immersed in Jazz while still in the womb by her Grandmother. You are on an incredible journey. Have fun and enjoy. We will be with you all the way.
It seems that Angelina ends her songs early to keep us wanting and begging for more. There is no other like her in the world. She is in her own lane. She is single handedly bringing jazz back to the masses, especially the younger generations that have never been expose to jazz. Angelina incorporated jazz, R&B and pop in this song and essentially created her own genre. You are right in that this song is a breath of fresh air. Gone is the need for auto tune and computer massaging of the music. There are actual real musicians in her music and not computer generated musical instruments. Angelina is the most remarkably gifted female musical talent I know of.

Then you broke into the biggest smile as this song began to play, and it came back numerous times and your head started bobbing to the music, so I went back and clicked on your bell to be notified. It’s so hard to recommend one song from her amazing repertoire. Hope fully, some one will provide you a link to her repertoire, and you will join the Facebook group “Shield” that he started for her fans and reactors. This is one of the 3 songs released after being signed by Republic Records. The other two are just as good. "Million Miles" written by her about her grandfather that passed away, and a song written by Bruno Mars and Adele and two others, and sung by Adele, called "All I Ask" which is now Angelina's song. Check out her recordings of "Summertime" (there are at least two out there). One of them comes from the original talent show in Norway which featured Angelina (at age 7!) and which she won. I think you've got a jazz vibe going on so you might not appreciate some of her pop song covers but what she did with "Bohemian Rhapsody" in January, 2020 is an amazing performance which introduced her to the American music scene. (She did on song on "The View" the same year as winning the Norway contest but that did not have the impact of the January 2020 performance.) Welcome to the Angelina Jordan world! There's a lot to be impressed about concerning her but not a few wise heads have pointed to the excellence of her family support and guidance. When I sent a comment on your first reaction to Angelina, I said she was the best singer I’ve ever heard. Don’t worry, you’ll get there, too. Since you like jazz, try her cover of “Feelin Good”. It’s definitely a different vibe from this one, but it will show you another side of Angelina-just killing a song that you might have thought was already covered beautifully by many others. Angelina has many, many sides that she shows us-and a vocal toolbox that she dips into so easily to give us a perfect voice to match the song. One of her most popular, with good reason, is her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. She does her own arrangements, and this one is just stunning and completely takes you by surprise. Bohemian Rhapsody demonstrates the best quote I’ve heard about Angelina: her voice is like a drug. There are twenty or thirty others I could give you, but just listen to a few more and you’ll become an Angel and choose your own.

Hoping for som great musical and even vocal impro for a couple of more minutes. Would suit this song OK, I think. For your next I think it would be nice for you to learn about her "start out" to the world stage. She was still only 7 as she auditioned at the "Norwegian Talents" show, back in 2014. Singing the Billie Holiday song "Gloomy Sunday". (She then did "I`m A Fool To Want You", even that Billie`s version, but Angelina did it a`capela. Who wouldn`t ? :-) For the quarter finals she did a cover of Nancy Sinatras version of "Bang Bang, My Baby Shot Me Down", and ended her amazing tour singing "Summertime" in the final. Brought in some great inspiration from Ella Fitzgerald to that song. Probably Angelinas mother had not yet agreed to let her take part in any major song-contest as she was six, even as Angelina had naged her about it for some time allready. But at six, when she met with the little girl and gave her shoes away, she had allready her eyes and mind fixed on a career of singing to the world, and even promised herself to never wear shoes when she was performing. Young young Angelina was rather sure even then, of where she was going in life.

She never fails to blow me away, even after listening to the same song many times. You started watching her at age 9, went to age 15, just hopping around randomly is a fine way to do it. My mother told me this is an old form of jazz, from the 30's and 40', that was called 'Swing'. I then heard a song with a similar beat and vibe on Britain's Got Talent - 2018 by someone named Aleksander Mileusnic. He presented his own arrangement of a classic song called 'Seven Nation Army'. When Simon remarked at the end of it he called it a 'Swing' version.

She just released an Adele cover, "AllI Ask" But also her originals are quite different ("What is Life", "Oslo", "Shield", "Million Miles" and this one.) Personally breathtaking for me is the Adele cover "Million Years Ago". But also "It's a Man's World", "Feeling good", and many others are great. On the accout of Rusty Shackleford you can find everything, she ever released somehow. (140 songs) If you really want to know something about her roots, look at the Norway Got talent performances. She was still only 7 as she auditioned at the "Norwegian Talents" show, back in 2014. Singing the Billie Holiday song "Gloomy Sunday". (She then did "I`m A Fool To Want You", even that Billie`s version, but Angelina did it a`capela. Who wouldn`t ? :-) For the quarter finals she did a cover of Nancy Sinatras version of "Bang Bang, My Baby Shot Me Down", and ended her amazing tour singing "Summertime" in the final. Brought in some great inspiration from Ella Fitzgerald to that song.
Probably Angelinas mother had not yet agreed to let her take part in any major song-contest as she was six, even as Angelina had naged her about it for some time allready. But at six, when she met with the little girl and gave her shoes away, she had allready her eyes and mind fixed on a career of singing to the world, and even promised herself to never wear shoes when she was performing. Young young Angelina was rather sure even then, of where she was going in life.

Hey Bunji! Welcome to Angelina's Army. You can pick any performance of hers that catches your fancy, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. She never fails to blow me away, even after listening to the same song many times. You started watching her at age 9, went to age 15, just hopping around randomly is a fine way to do it. Her voice is becoming more refined as she gets older but it has always been magical since she was 7 years old. You will see.

My mother told me this is an old form of jazz, from the 30's and 40',
that was called 'Swing'. I then heard a song with a similar beat and
vibe on Britain's Got Talent - 2018 by someone named Aleksander
Mileusnic. He presented his own arrangement of a classic song
called 'Seven Nation Army'. When Simon remarked at the end of it
he called it a 'Swing' version.
It seems that Angelina has put you (as she has done to many of us) into that 7th Heaven of bliss and happiness! You have a long and glorious road ahead to explore all that she has done. She just released an Adele cover, "AllI Ask" But also her originals are quite different ("What is Life", "Oslo", "Shield", "Million Miles" and this one.) Personally breathtaking for me is the Adele cover "Million Years Ago". But also "It's a Man's World", "Feeling good", and many others are great. On the accout of Rusty Shackleford you can find everything, she ever released somehow. (140 songs) If you really want to know something about her roots, look at the Norway Got talent performances. Especially the a capella version of Billy Holiday's "I'm A Fool To Want You" is mindblowing, and it tells you al lot about her.
