Always cool to see 10mm KoW videos :) Although I believe around the 3 min mark that elven cavalry charge had a few issues: 1) the skinks wouldn't be a valid charge target since they are out of the frontal arc of the cavalry 2) the hedge would have reduced the thunderous charge by 1 via hindered 3) you mentioned at the start of the clip that you have silver breeze cavalry - those are the horse archers, w/o thunderous charge. I think you guys might have mixed them up with stormwind cav, who do have it :) Sorry to be that guy lol. Keep the videos coming though, we need all the exposure we can get for 10mm KoW!! :)
No worries, be that guy keep us honest. There was a little confusion as we were trying to proxy KOW regiments with GW equivalents too just to make things interesting. Thanks for the feedback though we'll take it on board for next time. Still won't save Rich from my Cold Ones!
Rich here. Yep, definitely glad you helped us out. They’re totally the Stormwind 🤦♂️ I have both units painted and muddled myself. The charge was from the river ford and we were recapping after that fact. Good shout about the hedge! We had a few hindered charges and was surprise just how important they were. Will definitely make sure to include a few hedges and forests in every game.
Really enjoyed the battle report! Where did you get the miniatures from ? Especially the lizardmen look great and I haven’t been able to find good files for them. Would also be interested in table size etc.
Cheers, Paul here. The Lizardmen are a mix from Eureaker Miniatures UK and Magister Militum. All metal, they come individually in packs of 30 or so. You gotta stick them to bases (from Ebay) I'll let Rich add about the table as he is the terrain guru.
Rich: The Elves are Forest Dragon Miniatures printed by me but you can buy them printed. Buildings were from 3DLayeredScenery Leichheim set scaled down to 10mm. The board dimensions are 72inch by 48inch to convert inch to cm for this scale.
I’ll add that to next video for sure! We use CM instead of inches. So it works dividing by 2.5 when the scale is divided by 2.8. Bases are on a 40mm fronting and then as deep as needed to match for regiment, horde etc. it’s not a perfect fit for KOW but at the scale it works well

@@diceandeasygames2337 I HATE DICE ROLLING !!!...have to say that....old Winters SEO vids were best....SK 82 are bad but ones with dice trays taking up the screen are worst.....I like it when its a decent overview of what happened with the odd funny/terrible/important dice roll put in...thanks for listening

It’s 6x4 shrunk down by using cm in place of inches. So it’s 72cm x 48cm. Single piece of PLY, foam, river and texture. The rest is scatter elements.

What are the Hawk Rider units? I don't see anything like that in the Kings of War Elves / Sylvan Kin army list. Is that a custom unit?
I think we used them as Drakon riders as they were the only flyers
Awesome. What size board and measurement scale are you using?
We use CM so there is no maths and the board works out just under 2x3. It’s 22x30 inches which is the same as Warcry

Possibly not actually. Might have gotten that one confused! It should be reduced by one not removed all together

Are just using 4x2 bases like warmaster not changing bases size for hvy inf monsters etc
