Painted my first miniature just bought a cheap mtg mini to see if it was something I liked long story short I bought a starter box for star wars legions and the day it came in I stumbled across this gem of a game and sent legions straight back to order my first box set for Kings of War Now I just need people to play with since where I live only has a MTG scene and tabletop is MIA
Absolutely great resource video! I hope this helps a ton of people! (That friendly looking guy at the very end looked like a good selling point for the game too 😂)
I'm not super keen on subscription models, but I get so much use out of the gold subscription that I can't imagine playing without it. Searchable rule book, key work rules tabbing in lists and army list builder is just great
It’s certainly tempting, the hardest part for a newcomer is “which of these armies”. Particularly if you know some wargame mechanics for other games and aren’t sure how that translates into the KoW world
Awesome video. I'm new to KoW but my son and I are loving it. Some constructive criticism, please invest in a pop filter, every time you say a word with p in it there is an annoying pop in the audio, very pronounced with headphones. Loving your videos though man and looking forward to more, KoW and Mantic in general deserve way more coverage than they get.
Great video, thanks for that. I follow Mantic since the beginning and collected several Armies from them (some Minis where hit and miss, but hey). I really like the improved miniatures quality - really awesome (Ogres and Twillight Kin/Nighthaunt). The game rules are exactly my cup of tea!
@@nrais76 As someone who makes six figures I'm not touching 40k I play OPR and other games..this might be the replacement for me wanting to get into conquest cause that games expensive.
For skirmish games you'd need Kings of War Vanguard. Unfortunately, I don't think they've done anything with that game in years. The stuff is still for sale so you could give it a try.
When are they going to fix the KoM General on Pegasus? He is missing an attack! It is listed as 4, not 5, like his foot and horse-mounted versions, which makes him over-priced an undesirable and a never used option! (Even the Hero hero retains all of his attacks when mouted on the pegasus!)

Love the Companion app. Finally got my group into Kings and they are loving it.

Will try out KOW this year, so great vid, works as a starting point!

Great vid, Thanks!
fantastic video, thanks for sharing
Wait.. 22 armies + core rules in one book? What is this madness 😅
È kow ❤❤❤
It's like they're trying to get everyone to be able to play their game, not just people who make six figures.

Coming from 40K, it’s hard for me to get my mind around books that contain unit lists in addition to rules … time to run from GW
@@randomtvninjayea looks like it's a lot lighter on the pocket book.
Nice sales job. I will take a deeper look at this game thanks to this vid.
Does it scale down to skirmish level fights?
Take a look at Ambush - you can play on a smaller table size with modified rules to play with just a few units.

@@JMcMillenhow long has it been out?
Hope to see this same love for KoW vanguard one day …

Unless you're twilight kin, you don't need cok 24
Don't.
