The keeper came for the ball, Wes went for the ball, despite the keeper having the advantage of using his hands he fucked up and fumbled it, that was the keepers fault for not getting high enough to claim the ball and then fumbling under pressure, Wes was totally concentrating on the ball not the keeper, really soft to give a free kick. Personally I think it was the keepers error and tough luck imo.

I'm sure given time it'll come good.

Rugby is more comparable but even that isn't so fast paced as football. You can still play Rugby with a beer belly and get treated on the pitch while the game carries on! The other thing is it's transparency- the refs are miked up and they show on the big screens how they reached their decision. When Grealish scored the other day myself and many others around me didn't even celebrate due to the much delayed disallowing of Hourihanes goal. It really spoiled our celebrations, and not for the first time either this season. For me it's ruining the spectacle of live football and i believe in time it will have a massively detrimental effect on the worlds number one spectator sport. For me it''s a step too far and needs to be binned straight away.

I'm hoping they will tweak it in whatever way seems best, it's in very early stages atm personally I think it should have been trailed in the lower leagues for a couple of seasons but I'm guessing that's a technological issue as to why they didn't. I may well be wrong and I know at the moment there's lots of issues with VAR but like I say I'm hoping in time it'll get better and more efficient and they will tweak it where necessary so it doesn't impact the flow of the game too much. I've been shocked how bad Manchester United have looked this season and last season tbf, by United standards anyway. I see too many individuals at United atm not enough team players and hard workers and too many players who don't appreciate that they are playing for a club like Manchester United. Delighted with the 3 points but not a great team performance. Brighton were the better team up until the sending off. Grealish was brilliant though, best player on the pitch . Don't know why Connor was taken off though when ElGhazi was so poor.

Grealish made me so happy with his goal! I felt like he avenged the wrong done to Hourihane by that fucking awful referee. Then Targett's magnificent last-minute goal made me scream as loud as a preteen at a boyband concert. What a dramatic game! Thanks for the footage that makes me feel like I was there, all the way down here in south Texas (where the high reached 34°C today!).

The overall team performance was average like Deano mentioned the team looked leggy especially Super John McGinn the two International matches for Scotland before this match took it's toll in the last 20 minutes. Congratulations to Targett on his first competitive goal for villa in the Premiership. Hourihane disallowed goal should of been given and the tackle on McGinn should of been a penalty . UP THE VILLA

General synopsis of the game a point each probably would have been a fair result, the sending off completed changes the game Brighton were dominating possession without a final treat in the 1st half until Mooy’s sending off, Hourihane could have had a couple in the 1st half with his two set piece free kicks saved well by the keeper, & then his disallowed goal because Wesley breathed on the keeper so VAR disallowed it for a foul, at the time I thought it was harsh having seen it again it’s literally a joke, in the end I suppose it was justice served we got the winner at the death after a very disappointing decision like that, nether the less I was slightly impressed with Brighton they’ll be gutted to lose with virtually the last kick of the game, Jack Grealish totally ran the show today man of the match performance a goal & an assist in front of the watching Gareth Southgate.
