@lc_Romz when y9u worship Jesus, you're worshipping him as a God. God doesn't need to make a man out of Oneself. Afterall, G-d is One, NOT Two, NOT Three!

@lc_Romz not hard to understand. It's obvious you all abrogate from one of the basic tenants of not just The Torah (original bible) but also from The Ten Commandments. It clearly states that G-d is One and that nobody shall have any other God or image upon Thy face. You need to watch Rabbi Tovia Singer's videos more carefully. If you learned as much about Judaism as Rabbi Tovia knows of Christianity, I'm sure you'd be believing quite differently. It's very biased to simply refer to your own scriptures when debating another religion that doesn't use it.

Messianic Jews hold that God is one, but manifest in three persons. As it is written in the Hebrew Bible, "And God said, "Let us make Mankind in our image, our likeness." It is plural?
Does God need people for anything? Yet, if God is not three persons, then He needs people for friendship, for fellowship. He cannot relate, cannot speak, cannot have fellowship without His creation. He needs people, which is a logical contradiction. God is one, yet three. Let US make man in OUR image. That is not the gentile translation, but it is written in the Word of God.
As it is also written, "He was despised and we esteemed him not.... We accounted him plagued, Smitten and afflicted by God; But he was wounded because of our sins, Crushed because of our iniquities. He bore the chastisement that made us whole, And by his bruises we were healed. I'm an ex-christian. I have to say that everything I have heard Tovia Singer say makes perfect sense. The reasons I left Christianity were 1) too many things that just didn't add up.
    2) Christianity these days is full of con men, ie travelling preachers who go from church to church "praying"for people for illnesses or financial help because they re short of money to pay bills etc, and these so called preachers charge them money. And when the finanial miracles never transpire and the sick are still sick, and in the worst cases these people (for want of a better word) tell them they are cured and as a demonstration of faith they should throw away their medication and a lot of these people end up tragically dying, then these preachers try to justify it by saying they didn't have enough faith. My point here is that if someone did this in the secular world they would be seen as despicable but it seems that if you do it in church then you are a "great man of God".
The gullability of a lot of Christians is mind boggling to say the least. Don't get me wrong, I met a lot of very good decent people who are Christians, but at the same time I met a lot of absolute arseholes as well.
I think Rabbi Singer is a good man who fights to protect his people from this nonsense.
He has definately got my vote!

What the "christian con-men" say and how they believe have no bearing on your faith. You give men power over your faith in Christ and their misdeeds? That's very crazy!

    • @philipghidinelli5180
      @philipghidinelli5180 8 лет назад +5

The Christian con men are not the whole picture for me. If you look at what I wrote the first part is that there are too many things that don't add up.
For one thing the linage of Jesus, Matthew says one thing, Luke says another. Which one is right? They can't both be right, but they can both be wrong. Another is this ridiculous belief that the Earth is only 6000 years old. What about Dinosaurs? And please don't try to tell me that ridiculous theory about Satan planting Dinosaur bones to test peoples faith.
I'm sure that Satan has far more important things to do than trying to confuse people who for the most part are deluded to begin with. Incidentally, if you are wondering do I believe Satan exists, Yes I do. I will say that the Satan in the bible and the real Satan are two very different entities with very little if anything in common.
There are many other things I have issues with but there are so many of them and to be honest I really don't feel like going into them right now, but here are a few.
One thing I will say is that your "Loving" god in the clear light of day comes across as a sadistic monster who is willing to sit back and do nothing while innocent people are being murdered and dying in their droves. Either he can't do anything or does not care to.
How come a murderer can repent 10 minutes before being executed and go to heaven, but someone who has spent their entire life being kind and helping people can be thrown into an imaginary hell?
How can any sane person call that fair? Why create people with one nature and then expect them to behave according to another and then throw them into hell when they don’t. It's as illogical as giving someone a car and then telling them they have to walk everywhere. Lets face it, if people are created with a corrupt nature then how can anyone realistically be surprised when they behave in a corrupt manner? Though not all do, one thing I have realised over the years is that there are many good, kind people in this world who are not Christians, some are even atheists, but nonetheless they are good decent people.
I have changed sides so to speak, I admit that, to Luciferianism. Contrary to popular belief, which is largely down to lies spread by the Christian Church and Islam and Hollywood. We do not harm or torture animals, sacrifice babies, molest children or any of the other crap we are accused of. I know there are people who call themselves Satanists who do those things, but they are posers, not real Satanists. In real Satanism those things are expressly forbidden. Very much the same as sodomising choir boys isn't a standard practice of the Roman Catholic church, though that not stop some Priests from performing that same vile act. And that’s what paedophilia is, VILE! And I can say with absolute certainty that any real Satanist or Luciferian would agree with that statement!
One thing I will say is that a Luciferian or a Satanist are not guilty of the hypocrisy that a lot of Christians are. We know what we are and we don't make any pretences about it. We don't go looking for evil things to do. This might surprise you but there are Luciferian/Satanists who are very decent, kind, honest generous people.
I also acknowledge that there are many Christians who are fantastic people, the problem was that I met far too many who were small minded, bigoted arseholes.
Another point is St Paul, he claimed revelations from god, then Christians say it must be true because it's in the new testament.
A lot of people have claimed revelations from god, Joseph Smith, Mohammed, and many others. What makes their claims any less valid that Paul’s?
The books that Paul wrote in the new testament (or should I say epistles) were originally written as letters, so who decided that they were the word of god? Can a man decide such a thing? You might say that with revelation from god, but how can anyone ever know for certain that was the case? Revelation from God is very easy to claim, many people have done it. The problem there is that while the claims are plentiful the evidence is virtually if not completely nonexistent.
The new testament was put together around 325 AD, by Christian bishops who no doubt had their own agendas and wanted to stay on Constantine’s good side. On top of that , as far as I know it has never been confirmed that Constantine ever left paganism.
Constantine was tolerant of Christianity but then again only if they were the right kind of Christians, so the people who put the new testament together were favoured by Constantine. That said, those individuals would have only put in the books that reflected the belief of their particular schism, and there were many of them. One example in early Christianity is the Ebionites, they rejected the virgin birth by the way. And many early Christians hated and despised St Paul.
Another point is Jesus never wrote anything his self, so how does anyone really know he ever claimed to be the son of god? You only have other peoples word for that. Did Matthew actually write the gospel of Matthew? Or John, Luke or Mark? Sure you can believe that they did, that is your choice. But the point I am making is that there is no way it can ever be proved. And anyone who says it must be true because it’s in the new testament is falling into the trap of circular reasoning. I have read and heard the same claims for both the Koran and the book of Mormon. As someone said "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".
To make a point, someone could say that you claimed to be god. That doesn't mean that you did, only that someone claims you did. Can you see the point I'm making?
One thing that I do know is that Christianity has been used as a very powerful control mechanism to keep people in line, think about it. What better way to keep people in line than to threaten them with eternal damnation and the fires of hell and in effect scare the crap out of them? While killing anyone who dares to worship any different God. These days the modern version of that particular mentality is Christian dominionism who are determined to force their brand of Christianity down everybody’s throat whether they like it or not, these maniacs seem to be more prevalent in the US. Apparently they intend to replace the US constitution with the 10 commandments. Some of the more extreme groups intend to execute Wiccans, who are actually peaceful people, but who will hit back if attacked, and I don't blame them, though no doubt if they are infringed upon and they decide to strike back they will be termed as "evil terrorists" and lied about. And yes, Christians have lied. Not all are liars granted but it has been known for Christians to lie about anyone who dares to spouse a different theology from theirs and also in many cases to attack and murder. Lets face it, if a lot of Christians had the political power to do so they would happily force their warped brand of Christianity down everybody’s throats whether they wanted it or not, very much like Islam does. Out of the Abrahamic faiths the only ones who don't go around trying to convert everyone are the Jews. Credit to them for that!

+Philip Ghidinelli: Dear brother, Mathew and Luke can both be right. The earth is not 6000 years old; no one knows how old the planet is; what IS 6000 years old is human history, which began with the creation of the first humans, Adam and Eve; approximately 2000 years from Adam to Abraham; 2000 from Abraham to the rejected Messiah and about 2000 from messiah's return (Amen, come Lord Yeshua!). Then the 1000 years kingdom, then human history ends and Eternity begins.Satan has NOTHING more important to do than lie and confuse God's creatures; that's his job as the god of this world (small g). And he is the one who murders etcetera; While the Living God has already prepared the way back to Him by Himself entering human history and becoming one of us. God bless you and guide you in your quest, and God bless His people and His bride.

    • @philipghidinelli5180
      @philipghidinelli5180 7 лет назад +2

There is much more to Satan than the garbage that Xtians believe.
You say that Satan is the one who murders? If you're taking that from the context of the bible then let's assume for the moment that the bible is true. In the bible, there are a good number of accounts of god having entire races and civilizations wiped out, for no other reason than they chose to worship a different god. And when I say wiped out I mean men women and children. They were told to "leave none alive".
At the period covered by the old testament, there were many civilizations, Sumerians, Chaldeans etc, these people had their own gods, now the point I am making here is that these people didn't know any different. Their Gods were very much a part of their culture. In the same way that Xianity is part of western culture today. Same as any other civilization, there were good and bad people. Now according to the bible god sent the Israelites to wipe out certain races like the Amalekites etc, so there are these people, just living their normal day to day lives and then these Israelites come and murder them all.
When someone like Hitler or Stalin did that they go down in infamy, you start to see words like "atrocity" "genocide" attributed to them. But not your god!
I used to be a Xtian and believe the bible but I got questions coming up in my mind and the more I considered these questions the more I started to doubt. That wasn't the "Devil", it just means that I have a capacity for rational thought. Now I believe there are parts of the bible that are true but by no means all of it.
Regarding Jesus, there are many things he is reported to have said and done in the gospels, but there are no writings by him. So how can anyone be sure he said and did these things? You can say you believe and it is your right to believe anything you want. But belief doesn't make something true. I used to believe in Santa Claus when I was a kid.
Regarding the church, look at the atrocities that the church has committed throughout the centuries. Not just the Catholics either.
When they have burned, butchered anyone who worshiped a different god. These people have included Pagans, Jews, Muslims etc. That wasn't Satan, that was Xtians. And now there are the Dominionists in the States who want to start all that religious lunacy again and bring in Noahide laws and kill anyone who doesn't subscribe to their insanity.
One thing the church has been well known for is controlling people, I saw it myself when I was a Xtian, they have done that for centuries. After all, what better way to keep people in line than scaring the crap out of them with threats of eternal damnation and hellfire?
You seem to have a completely false picture of Satanism, please let me explain something to you.
Satanists are for the most part ethical people, the majority of Satanists, for example, don't desecrate churches or harm children or animals.
The vast majority of Satanists CONDEMN child molestation of any sort.
Speaking personally, if I knew of someone who called themselves a Satanist and knew they were molesting children I would have no hesitation in reporting them to the Police, the same goes for church desecration.
As for belief in the Xtian god, well to quote whoever said it, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". In the end, I found that I needed more than some pastors talk and a book about which I really know nothing about its origins. I need evidence, faith is not enough.

This verse has ZERO to do with false, pagan Christianity that preaches AGAINST what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai - it is speaking of ISRAEL! Christianity is mistranslating, twisting, taking out of context and bastardizing God's original meaning!
PLEASE do the research using a TANACH (Hebrew Bible, comprised of the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings, i.e. Psalms, Proverbs, etc.) so you can see for YOURSELF what God ACTUALLY said to us. The "Old Testament" is ONLY a twisted, mistranslated, taken out of context, bastardized VERSION of what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai. Christianity REFUSED to study the original Hebrew from the Orthodox Jewish rabbis (who have been tasked by God Himself to interpret the Hebrew scriptures for us!), leaving them in total DARKNESS as to what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai. PLEASE do the research!

So how have we Jews, who invented the term, always defined the term 'messiah?' Our definition is based on Scripture:
    1. The Messiah is born of two human parents. But Jesus, according to Christian theology, was born of the union between a human woman and Gd (as were many other pagan deities.) rather than two human parents.
    2. The Messiah can trace his lineage through his human biological father, back to King David (Isaiah 11:1,10; Jeremiah 23:5; Ezekiel 34:23-24; 37:21-28; Jeremiah 30:7-10; 33:14-16; Hosea 3:4-5). According to Christian theology, Jesus's father was Gd. Therefore, Jesus' lineage does not go through his human 'father' -- Joseph, the husband of Mary.
    3. The Messiah traces his lineage only through King Solomon (II Samuel 7:12-17; I Chronicles 22:9-10). But according to Luke 3:31, Jesus was not a descendant of Solomon, but of Solomon's half-brother Nathan. Therefore Jesus was not a descendant of King David through King Solomon, and fails this test as well.
    4. The Messiah may not be a descendant of Jehoiakim, Jeconiah, or Shealtiel, because this royal line was cursed. (I Chronicles 3:15-17; Jeremiah 22:18,30). But according to Matthew 1:11-12 and Luke 3:27, Jesus was a descendant of Shealtiel.
    5. The Messiah is preceded by Elijah the prophet who, together with the Messiah, unifies the family (Malachi 4:5-6). This is contradicted by Jesus himself (Matthew 10:34-37).
According to the traditional Jewish definition of the term, the Messiah will make changes in the real world, changes that one can see and perceive and be able to prove, precisely because they take place in the real world. It is for this task that the Messiah has been anointed in the first place, hence the term, messiah -- one who is anointed. These perceptible changes include: 6. The Messiah reestablishes the Davidic dynasty through his own children (Daniel 7:13-14).
    But Jesus had no children.
    7. The Messiah brings an eternal peace between all nations, all peoples, and all people (Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-4; Ezekiel 39:9). Obviously there is no peace. Furthermore, Jesus said that his purpose in coming was to bring a sword, and not peace (see Matthew 10:34, as referenced above).
    8. The Messiah brings about the world-wide conversion of all peoples to Ethical Monotheism (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Zechariah 8:23; Isaiah 11:9; Zechariah 14:9,16).
But the world remains steeped in idolatry.
    9. The Messiah brings about an end to all forms of idolatry (Zechariah 13:2).
But the world remains steeped in idolatry.
    10. The Messiah brings about a universal recognition that the Jewish idea of Gd is Gd (Isaiah 11:9).
But the world remains steeped in idolatry.
    11. The Messiah leads the world to become vegetarian (Isaiah 11:6-9).
    12. The Messiah gathers to Israel all of the twelve tribes (Ezekiel 36:24).
    13. The Messiah rebuilds the Temple (Isaiah 2:2; Ezekiel 37:26-28).
    14. After the Messiah comes, there will be no more famine (Ezekiel 36:29-30).
    15. After the Messiah comes, death will eventually cease (Isaiah 25:8).
    16. Eventually the dead will be resurrected (Isaiah 26:19; Daniel 12:2; Ezekiel 37:12-13; Isaiah 43:5-6).
    17. The nations of the earth will help the Jews materially (Isaiah 60:5-6; 60:10-12).
    18. The Jews will be sought out for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23).
    19. All weapons will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9,12).
    20. The Nile will run dry (Isaiah 11:15).
    21. Monthly, the trees of Israel will yield their fruit (Ezekiel 47:12).
    22. Each tribe of Israel will receive and settle their inherited land (Ezekiel 47:13-13).
    23. The nations of the earth will recognize that they have been in error, that the Jews had it right all along, and that the sins of the Gentile nations - their persecutions and the murders they committed - have been borne by the Jewish people (Isaiah 53).
These biblically-based changes in the world are very real, perceptible, noticeable, and knowable. The changes that Christianity claims were made by Jesus are not perceptible at all. They must be accepted on faith, and faith alone. How can one establish that Jesus died for one's sins, except by faith? The changes made by the Messiah according to Judaism would be provable, but the changes made by the messiah according to Christianity can only be taken on faith.
Even Christians recognize that the changes the real Messiah will make, according to the Bible and Judaism, have not yet happened. This is why Christianity had to invent the idea of a Second Coming.
The real Messiah has no need to come a second time to do those things -- he must do them the first time around in order to actually be the Messiah. So any Jew that understands scripture would stay far away from "Jews for Jesus", And the simple fact you cant be a Jew & follow jesus, and If you are a Christian you are in violation of the first law, By worshiping a man as a G-d you are committing the sin of Idolatry.

They were never able to tolerate a prophet, and always persecuted God’s word and declined to give ear to God. That is the complaint and lament of all the prophets. And as their fathers did, so they still do today, nor will they ever mend their ways. If Isaiah, Jeremiah, or other prophets went about among them today and proclaimed what they proclaimed in their day, or declared that the Jews’ present circumcision and hope for the Messiah are futile, they would again have to die at their hands as happened then. Let him who is endowed with reason, to say nothing of Christian understanding, note how arbitrarily they pervert and twist the prophets’ books with their confounded glosses, in violation of their own conscience (on which we can perhaps say more later). For now that they can no longer stone or kill the prophets physically or personally, they torment them spiritually mutilate, strangle, and maltreat their beautiful verses so that the human heart is vexed and pained. For this forces us to see how, because of God’s wrath, they are wholly delivered into the devil’s hands. In brief, they are a prophet-murdering people; since they can no longer murder the living ones, they must murder and torment the ones that are dead.
Subsequently, after they have scourged, crucified, spat upon, blasphemed, and cursed God in his word, as Isaiah 8 prophesies, they pretentiously trot out their circumcision and other vain, blasphemous, invented, and meaningless works. They presume to be God’s only people, to condemn all the world, and they expect that their arrogance and boasting will please God, that he should repay them with a Messiah of their own choosing and prescription. Therefore, dear Christian, be on your guard against such accursed, in corrigible people, from whom you can learn no more than to give God and his word the lie, to blaspheme, to pervert, to murder prophets, and haughtily and proudly to despise all people on earth. Even if God would be willing to disregard all their other sins which, of course, is impossible he could not condone such ineffable (although poor and wretched) pride. For he is called a God of the humble, as Isaiah 66:2 states: "But this is the man to whom I will look. he that is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word." I have said enough about the second false boast of the Jews, namely, their false and futile circumcision, which did not avail them when they were taken to task by Moses and by Jeremiah because of their uncircumcised heart. How much less is it useful now when it is nothing more than the devil’s trickery with which he mocks and fools them, as he also does the Turks.

The constant narrative of Christianity is that we reject Jesus but the truth like Rabbi Singer said is that we cannot deny the Torah which in every way is against idolatry. That’s why our people were burned at the stake and persecuted by Christianity because we wouldn’t deny our G-d and accept idolatry. The New Testament is Anti Semitic and not based in Torah yet Christianity claims to be connected while making the claim that Jesus’ teachings of loving your neighbor, etc were unique to him when they are in fact Jewish teachings found in the Torah. Christianity is replacement theology as is Islam which is also condemned by the Torah. G-d before giving the Torah to an entire nation of 3 million people declared the nature of G-d so there would be no mistakes nor separate interpretations so that an entire nation could carry the truth to the world. We are the suffering servant Isaiah refers to because the Torah which we have preserved and carried has been rejected and set aside by replacement theology. We have been killed and despised by Christians primarily. That’s where Tovia is coming from. Christianity depends on Judaism yet has no interest in knowing what we have been given because our existence has been preserved because we were chosen to carry the Torah for the nations. Learn from a Rabbi instead of falling into the natural tendency to follow your opinion. G-d’s opinion is the only one that counts and it’s in the Torah. We have redemption and direct connection to G-d through the commandments which are designed to create a connection between G-d and man so no mediator nor blood sacrifice is necessary. No Hellenistic theological ideas to make a religion palatable to an empire nor votes at a council needed

Christianity was originally Judaism.. but then it embraces the nations, and later developed into various different forms according to the culture of each of the nations in which it was accepted. Originally, though, it was entirely Jewish. In fact, it is OLDER than the Talmudic Judaism. Just compare which is older, NT or Talmuds? Of course the NT is older.. it was written quite long BEFORE the Talmuds were written. That alone proves that Messianic Judaism is older than Talmudic Judaism.

In fact, I specifically remember learning about Jesus after learning about a guy named Shimon Bar Kokhba. Look at the prophecies and you will, rather quickly, see that Bar Kokhba fit the "messiah" role much more closely than Jesus. Except when Bar Kokhba died a bunch of his followers didn't create a load of horseshit explaining away the reasons he didn't fulfill the prophecies but he will -- at some point in the future. That's what some followers of Jesus did, however, and congrats on believing it.

I know he is not so stupid that he doesn't know that Jesus had not been born yet, so I can only assume he is "scraping the barrel" to find arguments against Jews for Jesus. No wonder I still work (at 78) to financially support the J for J ministry, away down here in New Zealand. Very encouraging thank you.

You are missing a very basic point. If there was a being besides the "Father" as Christianity claims, someone in the Hebrew Bible would have mentioned them or invoked them in prayer as being part of a triune godhead. Yet no such example exists, even Christian apologists like William Lane Craig admit this.
I should hope you are not so stupid as to miss the obvious point Singer was making.

Do a google search....... There are hundreds of prophecies about a messiah or savior in the OT part of the Bible which matched the life of Christ as described in the pages of NT part of the Bible. That's a proof that Jesus was truly the messiah of the Jews.
Or, if someone argues that NT is made up stories (If Jesus was not real it should be so) then they should explain how different books of the NT were written by different men at different times - most of them uneducated - with stories perfectly matching hundreds of OT prophesies. The possibility or probabilities of such an event is close to zero.

The language, tone, mentality, etc. of Jews for Jesus is nothing but another form of protestant fundamentalism. The collective goal of this type of Christianity is to convert the world to this way of "Christian" thinking. These mostly self-righteous people aggressively pursue not only Jews but other Christians who do not share their form of Christianity. There are good arguments that support Jesus's claim to be God. The way that I personally think of the Trinity can be thought of in the same way as the different states of matter; whereas, solid/Father, liquid/Christ, gas/Holy Spirit. The 4th state of matter plasma/God. (All of the 3 states of matter are of the same source, just as all of the 3 aspects of God are of the same source). I think of God the Father as the Patriarch. The masculine figure. Whereas, Jesus is the feminine figure, who is subjective to the Father. The Father represents the masculine traits & nature such as dignity/justice. Jesus represents the feminine traits of unconditional love/mercy.
They are part of the same whole God, just different aspects and roles. The Father cracks the whip, and demands personal accountability, and justice. The Son, Shepherds the lost sheep out of mercy and unconditional love for them (like a motherly love).
There is also OT (Old Testament), and NT scripture that mentions a coming Messiah. Here are a few of those scriptures:
But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
      Matthew 16:15-16
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
      And he will be called
      Wonderful Counselor, "Mighty God",
      Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
      Isaiah 9:6
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
      Luke 2:11
Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
      Acts 5:42
But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen- that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.

    John 8:58New King James Version

2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
Here goes, copied from this site: www.christadelphia.org/pamphlet/christ.htm
The Lord Jesus Christ is the central character of the New Testament scriptures. The opening words of the first gospel account, by Matthew, can be applied to the whole of the New Testament: "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ" (Matthew 1:1). The four gospels are followed by the account of the preaching of Christ's apostles, and by the letters they wrote to believers in him throughout the Roman world in the first century AD.
But information about Jesus Christ is not confined to the New Testament. His coming was anticipated by men and women who lived before the New Testament books were written: "The people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John (the Baptist), whether he were the Christ, or not" (Luke 3:15).
    A Divine Watermark
This simple statement conceals a miracle. Yes. a miracle: something altogether beyond human achievement. And the miracle is this: there is throughout the Old Testament, on every page, a divine watermark revealing in advance the nature of Israel's coming Messiah. The Old Testament might appear to be just God's message to the Jewish people and an account of their history. But it is much more than this. There is something which is part of the very texture of the Old Testament and which cannot be removed without destroying the book as a whole. Simply stated, it is the fact that we have the life history of Jesus written centuries before he was born. In other words, you can read all about Jesus in the Old Testament.
It must be a matter of regret that all this information about Christ, revealed by the inspiration of God to His servants the prophets right from the dawn of human history, is so neglected. For Jesus himself, these scriptures explained the reason for his birth, the work he was to accomplish, and the glory in store for him, and for all who come to God through him. Our understanding of Christ will be diminished if we do not take account of the information presented about him in the Old Testament scriptures.
    Messiah
The word Messiah is part of everyday speech. Nowadays, it is used about men who have a powerful personality and a message to go with it. But the impact usually dies when they die and pass off the scene. Such usage is a mere distortion, a poor copy, of what the word Messiah means. It is a Hebrew word taken right out of the Old Testament. It means "anointed" which in Greek is Kristos, our English word, Christ. In the Old Testament, Messiah was not an historical person. The word stood for the Promised One, the Coming King, the one "whose right it is" (see Ezekiel 21:25-27).
Messiah was the Great Deliverer for whom faithful Jews waited and longed. They and some of their neighbours talked about "when Messiah comes". One of the earliest disciples, after he had met Jesus. told a friend, "We have found Messiah", and the gospel writer who recorded the incident added a word of explanation, "which is, being interpreted, the Christ" (John 1:41). They were exciting times. Faithful Jews had been craning their necks to catch a glimpse of Messiah's time. They were constantly on the watch, yearning for the day. Messiah was the kernel of all Jewish hopes, the very essence of the great promises made by God as set down in the Old Testament. Jesus was that Messiah.
    The Evidence
The Old Testament described Jesus before he was born. No one but God could have foretold in such detail so many different kinds of things about Jesus. The Jews themselves had identified many of these Scriptures as foretelling Messiah. They were not brought to light until after Jesus came. They were plain for all to see. Some of them are so astonishing that we may feel they can only have been written after the events they speak about. Yet the evidence that they were written centuries before is altogether beyond doubt. Let us say it clearly: the birth, life, mission, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ of Nazareth were detailed in the old Jewish scriptures, the Old Testament, and read in Jewish synagogues at home and abroad, and faithfully preserved right down to our own times.
The Dead Sea Scrolls, discovered in 1947, some of them pre-dating the birth of Jesus by over 200 years contain, for example, copies of the prophet Isaiah with exactly the same prophecies as are known to us from our English Bible. The same is true of the Greek translations of the Old Testament: they too were made two or three centuries before Christ and are known to us by various manuscripts now in museums in different parts of the world. Thus the prophecies were known in Hebrew and Greek long before Jesus came. Therefore, it would simply be flying in the face of incontestable facts to say that these prophecies were 'inserted' after Jesus was born.
In any case, we must remember that the Jewish nation is not Christian. and they would never have allowed their Bible, the Old Testament, to be tampered with by Christian hands. To try to plead, as some have done, that the prophecies were added at a later date is only to admit how good they are! The only Bible available to Jesus was the one we know as the Old Testament. Josephus, the Jewish historian of the first century AD, lists the books in the Jewish Bible in his day and they are exactly the ones we have in our Old Testament. The Old Testament without doubt pre-dates the time of Jesus.
    What Jesus Said
Jesus used the prophecies of the Old Testament as powerful evidences when he spoke to the apostles after he had risen from the dead. This is what he said: "These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures" (Luke 24:44,45). Earlier, in the same chapter, we read: "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself" (Luke 24:27).
These are important and significant words. Jesus took the apostles back to the three constituent parts of the Old Testament - the books of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms. He said that in those scriptures there were things about himself which were being fulfilled in his own life-story. "In all the scriptures" is how Jesus summed up the evidence. Describing some of these prophecies, Jesus said: "Moses wrote of me" (John 5:46). Moses lived about fifteen hundred years before Jesus!
After his resurrection, Jesus commanded the apostles to go out as his witnesses to preach the gospel every where. As part of their preaching of the gospel, they used as evidence those same Messianic prophecies: the history of Jesus written before it happened! And those same prophecies of the Old Testament were in use in the synagogues throughout the Mediterranean region.
    What Kind of Prophecy?
The Bible is an account of redemption, how God rescues men from sin and from death. The Bible begins with a record of Creation and of how sin and death came into the world in the Garden of Eden. The Bible ends with a description of the culmination of God's glorious plan, still in the future, by saying that:
"I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:3,4)
Jesus Christ is the bridge between Eden and the promised, glorious End. He is the means whereby God accomplishes His mission of mercy and salvation. The Old Testament prophecies about Jesus are part of that story God's Grand Plan of Redemption. The prophecies were revelations of how God would work out His saving will. Let us follow the steps in the Grand Plan, revealed long before Jesus was born.
    Jesus the Man
The Old Testament foretold that Messiah would be a Jew, born in Bethlehem in the royal line of David the king, of the tribe of Judah. These are clear and detailed prophecies. Look at these examples:
"And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou (David) shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever." (2 Samuel 7:12,13)
"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel: whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." (Micah 5:2)
These are promises of an illustrious son of David who would be born in Bethlehem. Solomon was the immediate successor - son of David, but he was not born in Bethlehem. He certainly built a temple for God, but his throne was not established for ever. Moreover, Micah's prophecy, about Messiah being born in Bethlehem, was written some two or three hundred years after the death of David. Messiah had still not come. About seven hundred years later Jesus was born in the little town of Bethlehem a few miles from Jerusalem in the land of Judah.
    Jesus, Son of God
The prophecies said Jesus was not only to be the son of David; he was also to be Son of God. This is variously described in the Old Testament:
"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14)
"I will be his father, and he shall be my son." (1 Chronicles 17:13)
"He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth." (Psalm 89:26,27)
"I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." (Psalm 2:7)
Therefore Messiah would be a descendant of David but not of a Jewish father. As the New Testament later tells us, he had a virgin mother but no human father.
"Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." (Matthew 1:22.23)
"Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh." (Romans 1:3)
Surprisingly, the very first promise of the virgin birth (Genesis 3:15) calls the promised Deliverer: "the seed of the woman", not the seed of the man. It was God, not man, who would provide the Redeemer: nevertheless, he would be born of a woman:
"But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman ..." (Galatians 4:4)
    The Forerunner
The public ministry of Jesus was preceded by the witness of John the Baptist who declared himself to be the one who ran ahead to prepare the way for Messiah the Lord by preaching in the wilderness. This too was made plain by the prophets:
"The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God." (Isaiah 40:3)
"Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me." (Malachi 3:1)
The message of John Baptist stirred the hearts of thousands of Jews to repentance and preparation. John told them to get ready for Messiah, and when Jesus came to the River Jordan where John was preaching and baptizing, one of John's disciples said:
"We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth ..." (John 1:45)
    The Message of Jesus
The wonderful message of the Lord Jesus Christ came as comfort and healing to the minds of the ordinary people, and they said, "He taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes" (Matthew 7:29). "They were astonished at his doctrine", and people of all kinds, high and low, rich and poor, sick and well, came to him and were cradled in his words of relief, care and salvation. But this was exactly what the Old Testament prophets had foretold of him:
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me: because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." (Isaiah 61:1-2)
"The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned." (Isaiah 50:4)
No wonder the gospel is called "glad tidings". People who had been locked in dead formalism and made afraid by their teachers and rulers found release and joy and hope - just as the prophets had promised. They caught the meaning of all this, and sick people repeatedly called Jesus, "the son of David", the one promised to David by God. He was their Messiah.
    Miracles
The good news Jesus brought was called "the glad tidings of the kingdom of God". He was the One who, at his second coming, would reign as king on David's throne. Meanwhile, his message was the royal law by which his disciples were being prepared for the kingdom. His miracles were not simply embroidery of his teaching. They were living attestations that he was Son of God as well as son of David, bringing them a foretaste of the kingdom age:
"Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense: he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out. and streams in the desert." (Isaiah 35:3-6)
The people said they believed that his words and miracles proved that Jesus was the promised Messiah:
"Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?" (Matthew 12:22,23)
    Jesus the Rejected
Despite his wonderful words and compassionate miracles and his evident goodness, Christ was at the last rejected by his own people. The rulers envied and hated him. The common people proved to be unreliable and were easily swayed by the hostility shown toward Jesus by their elders and religious rulers. This, too, was foretold long before Christ came:
"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not." (Isaiah 53:3)
"Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth ..." (Isaiah 49:7)
"I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting." (Isaiah 50:6)
"Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee. Reproach hath broken my heart: and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none." (Psalm 69:19,20)
    Jesus the Crucified
The climax of the life of Jesus was his death by crucifixion. It is said that in times before Christ it was sometimes the practice to tie or nail certain criminals to a stake or tree after they had been put to death. Crucifixion of living persons appears to have come only with the Romans. It was unknown among the Jews. Yet, a thousand years before Jesus was born, his living crucifixion was clearly foretold:
"For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me." (Psalm 22:16,17)
Even the sharing of his clothes - which the New Testament describes as having been carried out by the soldiers - is clearly described:
"They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture." (Psalm 22:18)
The mockery, scorn and biting derision of his enemies, and Christ's uncomplaining submission were prophesied:
"But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head." (Psalm 22:6,7)
"He was oppressed. and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth." (Isaiah 53:7)
There are no more poignant words in the Bible than these which were written up to a thousand years before the event they describe. Their complete fulfilment in Christ is evidence that he was Messiah and that prophecies were the word of God. They could not be the word of anyone else.
    Jesus the Redeemer
The suffering and shame of Christ were full of redemptive purpose. He suffered for our forgiveness and salvation. The Old Testament words could not be clearer:
"Surely he hath borne our griefs. and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions. he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him: and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:4-6)
These things were not amazing coincidences or chance happenings; they were part of the Great Plan of God, of which Christ is the pivotal centre.
    Christ is Risen
Of course, it might be said of some of the evidence so far outlined, that Jesus simply set about to act out the sayings of the Old Testament and thereby claim to be Messiah. In other words, that Jesus engineered his life to make it seem like the fulfilment of prophecy. To argue in this way is a policy of desperation. Not only has it a very hollow ring, but it does not explain the miracles Christ performed. More than that, such a theory does not account for his rejection and crucifixion which at the very least would then require the connivance of those who rejected him and the cooperation of the soldiers who crucified him.
This is a most unlikely possibility. In any case, such an argument collapses completely in the light of his resurrection from the dead. This wonderful miracle was entirely out of his hands and, moreover, was not expected by his disciples.
His resurrection - the final miracle which crowned everything that had gone before - came to them as a joyful surprise. And it too was foretold in the Old Testament:
"Therefore I will look unto the LORD: I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Rejoice not against me, 0 mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness. the LORD shall be a light unto me. (Micah 7:7,8)
"For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell: neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." (Psalm 16:10,11)
The words "soul" and "hell" are the usual Hebrew words for 'a person' and 'the grave'. Not only was Messiah to be raised from the dead, his body would not be contaminated by corruption during the time he was in the grave!
This evidence from the Psalms forms the cornerstone of the preaching of the apostles. It could not apply to anyone other than the Lord Jesus Christ. Speaking of the about words from Psalm 16, as quoted above, the apostle Peter on Pentecost day said:
"Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; he seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses." (Acts 2:29-32)
    The Ascension
After forty days or so, the risen Christ ascended to heaven. Yes, you may have guessed it: this too was made known long ago in the Old Testament. How could so wonderful an event be foretold? It was so unusual. Yet, this is what the scripture said:
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalm 16:11)
"The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." (Psalm 110:1)
This was the crowning glory of the evidence. It completes the Old Testament trail that led to Jesus of Nazareth. It both sealed the certainty that Jesus was Son of God and it proved the Old Testament scripture to be the totally reliable word of God. That Jesus had ascended to heaven and was seated at God's right hand: that was the final evidence that Christ was Messiah.
    Yet there is more!
There is one further piece to the story: an intriguing and altogether fitting burst of promise and light. It has been part of the Christian faith from the start. Jesus Christ is coming back to earth to reign as King. This too is all in the Old Testament:
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." (Psalm 16:11)
This we have read; but there is an added promise in the other verse we quoted: "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." The Psalmist goes on to say:
"The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies." (Psalm 110:2)
No wonder that Psalm 110:1 is the most quoted verse from the Old Testament to appear in the New! Read how this verse was applied by the apostle Peter:
"Whom (Jesus) the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began." (Acts 3:21)
The Jesus who ascended to heaven is the Christ who is coming to reign on earth as King of kings and Lord of lords. He who wore the crown of thorns will wear the crown of glory. He will reign as King over all the earth. This is beyond doubt. Those promises will be fulfilled as surely as the prophecies about his first coming were fulfilled in him.
    What difference does it make?
In the light of these things. where do we stand? We are at the crossroads. the point of decision. Either we accept the testimony we have read as convincing, and therefore as a solid and sound foundation for our faith, or we turn away from the facts, without being able to refute them, to lead our own lives away from Christ. That is exactly what the nation of Jews contemporary with Jesus decided to do. And they were disastrously wrong. Jesus foretold to them that their rejection of him would bring an end to their existing nationhood in the land of Palestine, and the city of Jerusalem would be sacked and their temple destroyed.
To them this was incredible and quite unthinkable. Yet, it happened. The Romans besieged the city and finally known over-ran it in AD 70. The havoc and carnage were terrible. Despite the Roman general's command that the temple should not be violated, his soldiers set it ablaze and left it in ruins.
God's words are always fulfilled. The gospel has now reached all parts of the earth. Christ has become a light to the Gentiles. as the Old Testament declared would be the case. It is for us in Gentile lands to answer the question of Pilate, the Roman governor. and to meet its challenge: "What shall I do with Jesus which is called Christ?" He is the promised Saviour of mankind. and the coming King. There is no hope for any of us or for the world without him. Wise men from a Gentile country came to Jesus when he was born. Wise men have come to him ever since. Will you be one of them?
    Prophecy Fulfilled in our Day
The Old Testament is still being fulfilled. One of the greatest wonders of the twentieth century has been the return of the Jews to the land from which they were scattered, over nineteen hundred years ago. And the Bible said they would!
"Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock." (Jeremiah 31:10)
"For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it." (Jeremiah 30:3)
Those prophecies are as clear and unambiguous as those about Christ. We all are witnesses to their truth. Everyone knows about the Jews as a nation in their own land. The Bible foretold it and God has fulfilled it. Therefore, it is absolutely certain that Christ will come back to be King on earth. Look at what the Old Testament has promised:
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." (Isaiah 9:6,7)
    Finally ...
Will you be ready for the king when he comes? Wise men will. The Master comes to reign on earth. He will give eternal life to all who have believed these good things and have been baptized, and are waiting faithfully for him: "When the Son of man shall come in his glory. and all the holy angels with him. then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand. Come. ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." (Matthew 25:31-34)
Surely, this is worth believing. And it is true!

I edit most of my posts because of spelling. English isn't my native language so I tend to type some words wrong. For example, extremely many Americans type "your" when they actually are referring to "you're". This drive me nuts because it's something THEY should know from school and nothing I should be correcting them on! Call me a bit of a "perfectionist" but I try to type as well as I can.
So to answer your question - I was correcting my spelling. Nothing more and nothing but.

arnie kurtz “... the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ... Nor is there salvation in any other. For
there is no other name, under heaven, given to men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts
      4:12).
There is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ, and the Catholic Church is His Mystical
Body. Since there is no entering into the Catholic Church of Christ without the
Sacrament of Baptism, this means that only baptized Catholics who die in the state of
grace (and those who become baptized Catholics and die in the state of grace) can hope
      to be saved - period.

Sherry Lee God has already revealed His judgment to us. To say that one cannot be
sure or “cannot judge” if all who die as non‐Catholics go to hell is simply to reject
God’s judgment as possibly untrue, which is heresy and blasphemy and pride of the
worst kind. It is to sinfully judge as possibly worthy of Heaven those whom God has
explicitly revealed He will not save. To put it simply: to say that one cannot judge that
all who die as non‐Catholics go to Hell (when God has revealed this) is to judge in the
most gravely sinful way - in a way directly contrary to God’s revealed truth and
      revealed judgment.
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, “Cantate Domino,” 1441, ex cathedra:
“The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are
outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics,
cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for
the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Church before the end of their
      lives...”447

I don't know what you mean coming from someone as short in faith of the true God of israel as you God could move a mountain, and look right at it but would shout to your paster LUSIFER LUSIFER let us pray that Jesus distroys him. you cant open up the bible and read it like a sunday news papper its a hebrew book and must be read as a shabbas news papper. so says common since God doesn't need to move a mountian for that, if a wise man studied the bible in such a fashion that was without assuming things and usingso much greco roman mind set and cultures a man could revisit the time of Abraham. the problem being that such things are added in from miss understood bible qoutes such miss understood qoutes are mainy in the so called new testiment in english, but can also be present in the so called old testiment also in english. these things are inpportant the arameans isrealites and middleastern people of all kinds can see the twists and turns made in the bible to make the english/greek invention the new testiment work though others follow it. and you know what even the smart scholars and professors in Hebrew history will tell you the idea of the christian Jesus is bogus just look up Jeff benner or some culture secialist they will tell you. whats even more ironic is that when someone gets smart, edgicated and leaves the faith of Jesus Christ they like to say SEE THAT that is proof that satan rules this world and talk about this that and the other and talk about how they were brainwashed by satan but in reality as simple as it may seem they simply got more egicated satan didn't take over there mind ok thats just silly shalom have a good day/night and do your research don't argue with the Hebrew scriptures.

Is Bernie Madoff a descendant of King David? Was Bernie born in Israel? Did Bernie bring many Jews back to G-d and the ways of the Torah? ?????? There are many requirements for the Messiah according to scriptures (in other words, G-d's opinion). So what does Bernie Madoff have to do with being the Messiah?

      Rav Menachem
Jesus is a myth. In a myth your character can be like the dictator of North Korea - you can assign whatever characteristics you want to your hero. Jesus is not, has never been and never will be the king or messiah of Jews.
      plus.google.com/u/1/b/100387171616049053709/100387171616049053709/posts/8tKxqsMVbHh
1Samuel 8 : Jesus was a character that was prophesied in that chapter. A pagan messiah/anointed king that you would want to have LIKE the other nations, who would exploit you and oppress you and bring destruction upon Israel.
Christianity was a Roman invention designed to provoke hatred for Jews. Which has been so for the last 2000 years. The character of Jesus resulted in the destruction, persecution and disenfrenchisement of Jews.

Cynthia Avishegnath Yeshu was not a myth. He was quite real. He was born in the year 89 BCE and died in the year 52 BCE. He studied under Rabbi Yehoshua ben Prachya and was a very rebellious student. He violated many of the Commandments (for a Jew there are 613) and that is the reason he was executed by the Sanhedrin. He died by stoning -- the Jewish court did not know of crucifiction. His family tomb was found in the Talpiot section of Jerusalem. We have his bones. There is much known about him but one thing is for sure, he was not a prophet, a king and definitely not a messiah. His mother Miriam was raped by a Roman guard, who is his biological father. I have proof of everything that I am saying.

deadlyvenom7 How many times have you been to Israel that you know so much about what is going on now? It is well known by all the great Rabbis of our day and many, many more who are deep into the truth from scriptures that JC was a false messiah, a false prophet and a rebel in his time. The real Messiah is here and will be introduced very soon; then, we will see who the blasphemers are in the world. By the way they found the tomb of JC and his entire family in the Talpiot section of Jerusalem buried in a mausoleum with other commoners of his time. He is not whom you want him to be and it will be verified very soon even though it is well known already in Israel (where thousands of Christians are converting to Judaism a year -- the greatest number ever). You better believe that G-d is watching me, that is why I am so blessed with everything -- for me and my family the redemption has come.

    • @venom769
      @venom769 10 лет назад

Rav Menachem I told you that you were a liar, and you just proved it. That tomb in Talpiot has been argued by the vast majority of Jewish and Christian scholars to have nothing to do with Jesus and His family. But nice wishful thinking on your part, to your shame. Also, statistics show that there are vast numbers of Messianic Jews in Israel, with ever increasing numbers. We as Christians do believe this will happen because Jesus predicted it.

    • @ravmenachem9877
      @ravmenachem9877 10 лет назад +1

deadlyvenom7 Before you start calling me names, which is an abomination to G-d and his ways, you better check to see who is correct and who is bogus. As I said, you obviously haven't been to Israel. I live 20 minutes away from the tomb to which I referred and have spoken with experts who have verified its validity. It is such a big surprise that Christian scholars have denied it -- gee. You can always get charlatans to give you bogus information if it does not conform with their agenda. The problem with researching information on the web is that there are billions of opinions that come from uneducated sources. You obviously have decided that bogus sources are correct and my very prominent sources, who are here where it all happened and where it can be seen, are not correct. Your uneducated reliance on reading what you want to believe, instead of extensive research into the absolute truth, is very obvious.
Further, the fact that the real Messiah is here and is about to be introduced to the world makes everything that you want a total fairy tale. As the prophet Obadiah says in the end Edom will be no more. Edom is Christianity -- the proof of that is extensive (far too much to expound on here).
So far as messianic Jews increasing in number, you again are reading wishful sources who want it to be so. It is the exact opposite. More secular Jews are becoming observant, worldwide, than ever. The end is near and G-d's plan for the world is very obvious.

actually the difference between the time of Abraham and our time is the amount of revelation we have. Abraham didnt have to believe in the name Jesus Christ because he didnt have the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ. Just because Abraham didnt know everything doesnt prevent him from being saved. Now that we have the New Testament it is incumbent on people to believe it.

They will come to you, and when you see their conduct and their actions, you will be consoled regarding the disaster I have brought on Jerusalem-every disaster I have brought on it. 23 You will be consoled when you see their conduct and their actions, for you will know that I have done nothing in it without cause, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. Zechariah 12:10

Isaiah 53:4-6 Surely He has borne our griefs
    And carried our sorrows;
    Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
    Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
    He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
    all we like sheep have gone astray;
    We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:4-6

Psalm 2:7-12 “I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
    ‘You are My Son,
    Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
    The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
    You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
    Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
    Serve the Lord with fear,
    And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalm 2:7-12

The funny thing is while this claim is pure smear campain, the word "God" originate from "Goth" the Pagan Germanic god! Lol and The Christian faith has adobted many rituals and symbolism from of the Pagan religion of the Sun-God worship! Worshiping in Ther Sun-day, celebrating Easter, Depiction of the Sun behind Christ's drawings and Statues, the bread eaten in the Christening ritual is shaped like the sun. No coincidence the word Sun and Son are very similar ect ect ect.

Interesting. Allah means "The one God" in arabic.
God in english, Gott in german, comes from a germanic God, as you say. But take latin languages. Dieu in French, Dios in spanish, Dio in italian. Where does it comes from? It comes from the latin word "Deus" wich comes from the greek god Zeus.
You just play on words and such arguments are not even valuable.
I'll tell you a personnal story.
I'm jewish, my three best friends are atheist, muslim and christian.
One day when we were around 14 years old my muslim friend asked me: "What are the jews looking to?"
Surprised, I asked him to elaborate.
He said: "Well the christians look at the sky(heavens), the muslims look at the crescent moon. So what the jews are looking at?"
I thought about it for a few seconds, then smile and told him: "The jews look forward. It's better than being blinded by the sun or unable to see at night."

He said that in opposition to the Jew for Jesus guy, who says one can be both a believer in Judaism and acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah, which the Rabbi says is basically Christianity under the guise of Judaism, and the reason why he implores that the other person say so.

I’m glad Rabbi Singer made the comment about Abraham, Isaac and Moses not praying to Jesus. You know who else didn’t pray to Jesus? JESUS! Jesus himself can be found in every single Christian Bible on earth, praying to GOD, not himself. For the Christians out there, take a look at Mathew 26:39
-Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."
Also, take a look at how Jesus did not want to be crucified and prayed to GOD again in Mathew 27:46
-About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").
On top of this, once one studies biblical text in an academic environment, and learns about how many New Testament verses were added to, subtracted from and/or altered, it proves that it isn’t the truth. There is sufficient evidence to believe Jesus existed, but he lived for long enough to specify the trinity if it was indeed true, and repeat it clearly so that there is no question about a triune godhead. Jesus never did that. In fact, Jesus said in Mark 12:29
-"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
There you have it! God is ONE. Even Jesus said it. ONE, not three. ONE, not three in one. ONE ALONE.
Peace be with all of the prophets God sent, and peace be upon those who follow their true message.

Although I detest the mission of anti-missionaries, Tovia Singer has a valid point at 2:05. These "Messianic synagogues" often have pastors or "rabbis" pretending to have Jewish ancestry, meet on Shabbath, hold Torah parshah studies and use Hebrew liturgy, yet most of them do not keep Torah. In every "Messianic" congregation I've been in, the leadership and congregants work on Shabbath, eat pork outside of the oneg, etc. They're basically just "Christians with kippot" or "Jewish flavored Christians". I'm all for witnessing to Jews about Mashiach, as they need Him like anyone else but following Yahshua includes keeping His Torah. I see no point in bringing Jews away from Judaism only to have them eat trafe and profane Shabbath.

    • @HiddenhouseOrg
      @HiddenhouseOrg 11 лет назад

***** Okay, I'm not debating Pauline theology regarding Torah observance, I was speaking strictly on the issue of Messianic "Jews". If Messianic Jews believe they are not under the law, why don't they just go to a Sunday Christian church? Why do they have to have their own congregations that meet on the seventh day ("Saturday"), recite the Shema, etc. yet do not keep the Torah? Why bother doing the other Jewish traditions, then, if you do not keep the mitswoth? This is a deceptive bait-and-switch, they should just be honest upfront. I've been in congregations that gave me (and others) a song and dance for several weeks about Torah observance and even flat out lied at first and said they kept Torah, only to back-peddle later because they wanted to "ease us into" what they call "their doctrine".
It's funny how no one ever answers or refutes the Words of The Messiah or the other Apostolic letters, you just quote three verses and ignore the ones I present, as if one Scripture cancels out or negates another. I can give you just as much Paul quotes where he says to keep the law: Rom. 3:31, 6:1-2, 7:12, for starters
Before I give my refutation to the three verses you presented, please give me your interpretation of these New Testament Scriptures: Mt. 5:17-20, 1 Jn. 3:4, Mt. 19:17, Jn. 14:15, 1 Jn. 2:4, 5:3; Rev. 22:14

*****" Romans 6:14 For Sin shall not have dominion over you, FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE." This also voids the 10 commandments does it not? The 10 commandments are a part of the law you say is invalid? There are 613 laws god gave moses, christians did away with all but 10 which makes no sense. Seems stupid to say the 613 laws of moses are invalid because of grace but we'll follow 10 of the invalid laws? Also shrimp & 2 types of clothes among other things that god said was a sin your new cov makes them not sin, so how does something god says is a sin become no longer a sin? God isnt suppose to change his mind & for something to become unsinful would suggest he changed his mind plus it suggests he was wrong the 1st time. Which would mean the need for a redeemer means things didnt go as planned & you say man changed gods plans.

    • @mrburgy
      @mrburgy 11 лет назад

      *****
The reason you cant find the 613 is that you've adopted an religion that christians have edited. The 1st 3 laws you follow are the 1st god gave moses. Jesus wasnt in gods 1st bible only when man created a 2nd bible was he even named & to say jesus was in the jewish bible is to say god kept his name from his children. Also your Satan is not the satan's in the 1st bible & job is 1 proof there was no fall! But still to make the law god gave moses void is to say god was wrong. I would like to know who among the 30k+ different christian sects even comes close to being right? 1st christians need to be on the same page, i've seen preacher v preacher both claiming to be right & the other wrong. Funny your bible it says not to kill or steal & yet the christian country of america was built on killing & stealing from others. Americans have made even saddam husein look like a kid the difference being nobody can or will stop american christians from doing the same. You only have to look at the middle east to see how religion has no prob with murder if it gets their msg across. Plz remember all th nations & ppl who are extinct due to christianity. Christianity has not spread but rather christians have removed & replaced the native ppls from their own land with a main reason that these natives weren't christian therefore they had no legit claims to anything of theirs they wanted even their very lives.

After his resurrection the apostles, jewish believers and gentile believers worshiped the Messiah. They also kept the Jewish feasts and read the Torah every week. However once Constantine came in everything got all messed up. Constantine wanted to believe in Jesus but he didn’t want the Jewish part of it. So he outlawed Jewish traditions and put in his own pagan traditions(which led to Christmas and Easter). Which led to persecution in the Inquisition and crusades. Then there’s Martin Luther who wanted to get away from the Catholic Church. At first he preached the gospel to the Jews but then later on Martin Luther became antisemitic. Then all of that antisemitic disaster moved here to the United States. A good example is the movie called “school ties” with Brendan Fraser. Don’t forget there is good(God) and there is evil(the devil). This world is tainted because of Adam and Eve mistake. So of course the enemy wants division in the holy congregations. That’s why I am part of the messianic movement. In this movement we worship Messiah Yeshua but we also keep the biblical Jewish feasts like the apostles and the other ancient believers. If Catholicism never existed then there would be no division in the faith. If you want more info on stuff like this check out Rabbi Schneider’s RUclips channel, Dr. Baruch Korman, Jonathan Cahn, & Zola Levitt. Plus rabbi Schneider has a video series explaining why there is a division. It’s called “the separation of Christians and Jews”. Sadly a lot of historical facts like this are ignored by churches and schools today. Even Tovia doesn’t give all the facts. He only goes halfway. I haven’t seen him debate any other Messianic rabbis that are big experts in scripture and biblical history(on his channel I mean).
