I just want an earlier option for this class to move people using telekinesis, Maybe getting to add your intelligence mod on checks meant to shove another creature. Doesn't seem too major.
I feel that a class or subclass inspired by Jedi/Sith should focus more on Wisdom than Intelligence. Force wielders always demonstrate a higher awareness of their surroundings. Whether it be through enhanced reflexes, sometimes to the point of foresight, or being able to sense the presence of others. They have a stronger connection to everything around them, similar to Druids in a way. Or Monks. Except with droids, but we have Warforged for that.

Problem is... it should be innate, like sorcery, but it is not... Mechanically it takes until level 3 to have your core ability that is supposed to be innate... It should be it's own class, with branches into class specialization such as wizard, fighter or rogue at 3rd level, instead of the other way around... just mt two crowns.

Most of the people who dont like psychics dont like that they cant be counterspelled, etc. Just let that be a thing. They already let divine and arcane spells mix in that way.
IMO arcane tradition psionics should have instead been the sorc psionics subclass and while they hold the psi focus/childhood trinket and cast through it they would use int instead of cha for spellcasting.
@@BiologyIsHot Psionics without Psionic combat of OG and 2e D&D is just spellcasting (as proven by 3e and the fact that 3.5 had to have psionics-magic transparency printed because people didnt know how to damn read) thus in 5e design sense really should just be 3-5~ subclasses.

You just need a Dread helm and a cloak of billowing and a Bard to follow you around
Brilliant.
I just want an earlier option for this class to move people using telekinesis, Maybe getting to add your intelligence mod on checks meant to shove another creature. Doesn't seem too major.
Psychic Warrior, Soul Knife, and a Psionic Wizard Subclass? Oh hell yes.
Would rather get a Psionic class
Just give us a balanced mystic.
I wish the psychic fighter had access to the spell telekinesis. Perhaps it's too much for a fighter, but it would be very "Darth Vader" to have access to that spell at least once per long rest.
I got this notification while watching the D&d beyond official theme. Coincidence? I think not.
Edit: I just realized that I got this notification days late. I'm not sure why exactly. :/
5e is hungry for intelligence classes but I have yet to see my Swordmage come back into the game. 😭
This is nice and all but what about the mystic
are these out yet?
Owen Shield i just checked. No.
Out now!
What site?
@@NinjaMuffinMan42 where!?
@@NinjaMuffinMan42 where?
we need a full psionics book like in 2e
the Wizard is all by themself because WotC had to make the D&D Next Int Warlock a Cha Class in 5E.
Tbh they should have made warlock more malleable. Let there be a choice of Wisdom, Int or Charisma when it comes to the main spellcasting stat. its already a super customizable class and you'd be able to run strange builds like Monklock or Warlificer.
I love the Star Wars tangent at the end. Just nerds being nerds
I'm playing Psy Knight right now, and I'm loving it. Also, I very much consider myself a Jedi lol
Yall are forgetting about the eldrich knight
is this unearthed arcana out?
Please fix Mystic !!! I would love to play fixed mystic class without any magic involved. It should be a separated class !!!! No magic!!!
I have had the misfortune of playing a mystic and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a player. Every fight was a cake walk I would summon two shadows that were under my control would make every fight simple. The psionic focus was ridiculous by essentially allowing you to get an ability from most classes. Ultimately I really didn’t enjoy playing the character every time I did something in combat it was dull and boring but still somehow broke the game. I don’t see a future for a full psion class because it would require them to make an entire new game system and work it into the game. While I would love to play a mystic it will require so much work on wizards part, but I hope I’m proven wrong
The funny thing, as I see it, is that psionics is all about NOT using D&D's equivalent of "the Force". Doubly so on Athas, where tapping into the world's magic is an ecological disaster.
im not a fan of this.. give me a full psychic class. i dont wanna wait til 3rd level to have psionic abilities.
I think it's totally normal to suddenly discover you have psychic powers after you stab a few goblins lol. /s Psionic class or bust. Most of the people who dont like psychics dont like that they cant be counterspelled, etc. Just let that be a thing. They already let divine and arcane spells mix in that way.
Take varían human and for Feat take one of the ones in the UA xD
No thx. Full psionic class please.
IMO arcane tradition psionics should have instead been the sorc psionics subclass and while they hold the psi focus/childhood trinket and cast through it they would use int instead of cha for spellcasting.
Or a class
@@BiologyIsHot Psionics without Psionic combat of OG and 2e D&D is just spellcasting (as proven by 3e and the fact that 3.5 had to have psionics-magic transparency printed because people didnt know how to damn read) thus in 5e design sense really should just be 3-5~ subclasses.
Sorcerer already has the psionic-themed Aberrant Mind origin.
We don't have enough con based characters. The wild barbarian is pretty cool.
So...Dark Sun next year?
DARK SUN DARK SUN DARK SUN
Where is the wild talent sorcerer
Correct favourites
I hope they do a real flat out Psychic class.
Anyone else getting a Star Wars feeling about this
"The wizard is all by themself as the inteligence character", do I, the artificer player already don't matter to You?
In th PHB. Did you even watch the video. Artificer is not in the PHB.
WotC are smart, jump on the Star Wars train while its high between the Mandalorian and the new Star Wars game
The mystic is dead and I could not be more happy.
Same, these new subclasses could have spared me a lot of drama on my table
Long ago the great Mystic roamed the world, ruling supreme. For their might was so great, the powers that be broke it into a million pieces, and scattered their soul across the 13 Classes. Only the Psionics, masters of the power of the mind, may be able to bring them up agaon to their former glory
RIP 5th edition. You were doing so well, and then the subclass system killed you.
Out of all 3 this seems the weakest and one of its abilities is make useless with a feat that fighters can take that is 100% better that was added in this. There level 18 ability is pretty cool tho, I just feel like this one needs the most work.
Can we change the name to YEET KNIGHT?
This should have been under the monk class.
The psionic sword made out of Crystal's gone that sucks
