- Join me on this rainy March day for a walk in the Lockedridge, filled with beutiful thatched houses, ancient stones and english countryside views
The area around Lockeridge has evidence of early human habitation, with archaeological finds dating back to the Neolithic period. The nearby Fyfield Down is known for its ancient sites, including the West Kennet Long Barrow, a Neolithic tomb.
Lockeridge is mentioned in historical records dating back to the medieval period. It was likely a small agricultural settlement during this time, with a primarily agrarian economy.
Lockeridge is known for its picturesque surroundings, including the nearby Lockeridge Dene and Lockeridge Wood.

Such a lovely walk. We're coming to the end of a very hot and dry summer here in Western Australia, so it was lovely to see and hear the rain. The daffodils were beautiful.

It's made from water or wheat reed and sometimes straw.
