Yeah, adding solar will be pretty cool. Surprisingly, the infrastructure beyond the panels themselves is the coolest part! Agreed about the rivets, they make a great solution for stuff like this.

Thanks Kevin! Yes, I've found much of what I needed at Vintage Trailer Supply and Inland RV here in the states. Unfortunately, most of the fixed windows on this RV must be removed (requires drilling out rivets) to fully replace the seals/gaskets. I've done some of that for "permanent" restoration but it's not practical for the periodic procedures. It's a lot of work but worth it!
"There's actually a bit that does this nice and easy but it's very expensive." I heard this and had to rewind to make sure someone hadn't recorded me talking lol
Nice job and an enjoyable video. Would the sealant you used allow you to tape off (masking tape) on the glass and the metal frame edge? Allows easy feathering and clean up. Looking forward to more videos on the RV and I’m really happy you and the dogs are safe and sound after the Hurricane.
Thanks Aussie Beatle! Yes, masking works well as you described and gives a nice straight edge. The rounded corners complicate things a bit although it can be done with thinner tape and a little more time invested. Just decided to go free hand this time! I'm glad there's interest in the RV; I'm hoping to include more of the work that is done over time. Thanks for the well wishes!

Absolutely, tricks of the trade! When I slide the cans across the counter, they sometimes have this look of "I wish you didn't know that..."
