I just discovered your channel and I cannot say how thankful I am for all the insights and techniques that you demonstrate. I love fixing things, and now I will start developing ceramic skills on that front. Thank you!!
You are so welcome!
Just started yesterday on the same process using Milliput, sanding tomorrow, then the hard part - matching colors 🤞
Many yhanjs for your comment and good luck with your item. Please let me know how you get on. 🙂👍
Can you show sanding and painting of this item
Hi there, unfortunately I forgot to record the next stages. I do have other videos and playlists on sanding and painting. 🙂👍
Thanks, do you need any glue between miliput and ceramic surface?
Only if it has a large surface area.
Hi Ali, thanks very much for your videos, they are so helpful 😊 This one has helped me but do you have anything on repairing a teapot spout where a fairly large chunk has come off? So in effect you are having to make a little piece of spout ? Hope that makes sense. Many thanks
Hi, I don't have a video on creating a teapot spout, but will soon.
That’s brill, thank you 👍🏻
Thank you for this! I had no idea there was such a product!
You're so welcome!
@@theceramicrepairstudio hi! I have ordered the putty and am planning on fixing some pieces of Roseville art pottery. Do you have any suggestions for the paint/glaze? Thanks for responding before❤️
Can I mix acrylic with the miliput ?
I would say not
I ordered Milliput didn’t receive and not available in my country what else I can use instead .
What would you suggest in a case like this: I have an old picture printed on a paper and it's glued to a piece of glass on the front side. The glass has broke, but the picture still keeps it all together. I want to glue the glass back so it is in one piece again. The paper sticks firmly to the glass, so I don't want to tear it apart, as it will damage the picture. What glue should I use so that the crack isn't visible and so that I didn't stain the paper picture ?
Hi there, that is very tricky. I would actually recommend going to a picture framer for advice, they probarbly have a better idei and product to use. Please let me know how you get on.
Thanks Ali - have just done this on a 3” long triangular missing part on the rim of a large Chinese Ginger Jar. I think I’m going to need to add a millimetre or so along the top edge as there’s just not quite enough to recreate the profile of the top edge. Can I just add another thin coil across the rim (now of Milliput) and shape that once cured? And what’s the best way to fill any low spots that may be there after sanding? Thank you…
Yes, I would add a little more Milliput across the rim and also on any low spots. Then sand once cured. Please let me know how you get on. 😊💕
@@theceramicrepairstudio Thanks Ali. Have now done that. Away for a couple of days so will get back to it next week!
Why don’t you show finishing the job in these videos? (Sanding and painting)
I got a vase need repair, can I bring it to you to repair it please. How to contact privately?
Is there a part 2? So far it’s not much of a repair…
