    In this latest 2020 The China Repair Studio tutorial/video, I will be continuing with the Staffordshire pottery dogs.
    Join me and start learning the skills of ceramic, porcelain and pottery repair.
    My channel is for anyone wanting to learn the skills of ceramic restoration.
    We will be covering equipment, adhesives, bonding, filling, painting and airbrushing.
    We all have a broken piece of ceramic, porcelain/china lurking in our cupboards which we can all recycle and reuse.
    I have been a china restorer for many years after training in Oxfordshire. I currently work on private commissions as well as antique dealers.
    I would love to share my experience with you.

    Hello, I am trying to glue back together a mid century modern swan t.v. lamp.. it broke at the neck.. I've tried so many times.. with no luck.. each attempt I do clean the old glue off.. it won't stick.. I've tried e 6000 which usually works as I am pretty good at gluing things back.. it's driving me crazy.. it's as if this swan is made from a type of ceramic that will not hold glue.. I'm about to toss it away. lol Any advise ? thanks

      Hi Dianna, I tend to use Araldite slow curing glue and hold in place with scotch tape. It does also depend on the material and the break. Please let me know how you get on.

      Hi there, I probably wouldn't advise it. I tend to use professional Acrylic paint or powder pigment. 😀

      @@theceramicrepairstudio you mentioned using Titanium Dioxide so those i mentioned are powders. I want to have the glue color to match object.

    Hi there if after I repaired a ceramic plate there was a slight difference between one piece and the other is it possible to sand this edge down so it is level with the other

    • @theceramicrepairstudio
      @theceramicrepairstudio  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, It should be fine as long as the difference isn't too great and we'll sanded.
