The moody colors of the second painting are on point! That one looks more like it was done in gouache somehow at the end, which is just so cool. Very well done with both paintings, as usual! As for the watercolor brushes -- yeah I always grab a handful but almost always revert back to just using a silver brush 6 or 8 round, honestly. (:
*will have to add some of these beautiful paints to my ever growing and expanding specialized watercolor palette kit...the handmade paints seem to have a personality that cannot be found in the mass produced shades*
I think what I like most about the metallics specifically is how light the base color is and that the mica powder is sparse and less dense. It makes it more of a gloss than a paint in my eyes, and I love that! These look like absolutely gorgeous paints. The colors are so vibrant and rich
I've been following their instagram for a while now, but still haven't bought any. There are so many choices out there and limited $, but thank you for the treat of viewing you creating such lovely bits of art with Blue Pine products. They are stunning.
That second eye's colours are so lovely! I've been on this supplier's mailing list for a while but hadn't taken the plunge yet - now I'm feeling the urge to try them out.
I absolutely love your watercolor videos where you try out different types or brands and when you showed us how you made your own paints. There is just something about seeing different colored pigments and paints as well as how they eventually dry and maybe granulate is just so whimsical. That's why I fell in love with watercolor. Thank you for introducing us to a new handmade watercolor brand and we appreciate all the hard work you put into these videos for us... Take care. :)
omg yes, i can relate with the brush usage, idk whether it's a habit or something else, but i always come back using the same one lol also, it's such a great mini painting(s)! 🥺
Yeah my go to for brushes is one larger wash brush (either a square brush or a mop) and then a detail brush (usually a silver black velvet round). I did have a tendency to just use one size brush for the entire thing but I found often I'd make clumsy mistakes cos the brush was a bit too big for the smaller details so I eventually got myself into the habit of switching to a detail brush at a certain point in the painting~
That second painting is so beautiful 😻 I'm always impressed by your skin tones looking so colorful yet realistic, it's a skill I've yet to master so I'm just in awe
Watching you paint is so relaxing I didn't even listen to what you were talking about, I need to watch the video again 😂 Im glad you enjoyed the process, limited pallets have this power to make you focus on the piece rather than picking the "perfect color"
oh my gosh Arlee! you don't know how much this video made me so happy. your videos are my happy place. so so relaxing❤️ I also didn't know you had a twin brother! that's so awesome. it's been a while that I felt connected to doing art too, so this really ignites that love I have for watercolors. I wish I can sit down soon and paint on a whim
Loved these little pieces on that beautiful paper! Such a magical outcome! Also I wish I knew your secret to always getting such beautiful and loose looking paint splatters! Mine always come out as chaotic lol
Those blues where so beautiful 💙 both of your paintings are beautiful too but my favourite was the second one, the dark colours gave it so much personality
Ooooo I've had my eyes on these for SO long 😍😍😍😍 Glad to see you featuring Indian handmade paints. The arts industry here is really in its infancy so this kind of support to these creators is simply groundbreaking! Thank you! 😁
This is such a beautiful painting!! Love the second painting!! Excellent creation!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful paintings !! I loved your brush bag it’s so beautiful! Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦
This is one of my favorite songs from Epidemic in your opener, I really gotta start using it again. I've been getting lots of handmade watercolors and I don't think I'll be able to use them all, I wish more creators would offer dots and holy crap that Prussian blue.
I love love love how those colours look 🥰 I personally only ever used Van Goghs, Pelikans and Schminckes because they're all local and I don't have to let them be shipped halfway round the world (okay and some Gansais, so those are the exception), but these look real real tempting, so maybe I'll save up and buy some in the future 🥰 BTW love the second painting, it came out so well! It's so expressive and dramatic :)
Both paintings look super great and i also sit woth 4-5brushes and use only 1 or 2 Idk but it felt nice seeing the same tea that i drank this morning love ur art lots of warm hugs from india
The second eye painting is gorgeous i am in love with it. Also i have a worse version of that whole brush scenario where i will buy a new brush because i need like, a fine point brush for example, and then i end up never using it for fine details cuz I'm too lazy to switch brushes while I'm working😭😭😭😭 I'm like doing the finest details with this cheap 3 year old brush that hasn't had a fine tip since 2018 probably, like what are you doing??? There's a brand new $30 brush right in front of you that can make the job so much easier!!!!
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, U have inspired me 2 try mixing the dyes I use on my leather, I have tried water in the past but it comes off, if done correctly dyes do not, I really enjoy your video's, keep up the excellent work, I keep learning!! GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾️🙃

Those specific round brushes are so versatile!! Holding a bunch of water while keeping the best point. 🥰
So glad that you tried Indian brand. Love from India

I'm a mainly digital artist and I never had the pleasure to see real, handmade paints. You describe them so well, they are beautiful

YESS. I do that exact same brush thing every time hahaha
Are these lightfast?
The second painting is great, it looks half human, half animal, which gives it a mystery I think,
Looks like some of the pigments you snagged aren't on their site anymore 😢
