Have leave in conditioner in a spray bottle diluted with some water. Brush your hair and then apply the spray mixture and comb into your preferred style. Welcome.
I feel like cgm is only right for curly and coily hair, and not wavy hair. So many of the cgm rules are actually bad for wavy hair, and the method doesn't even completely consider wavy hair. So many of the method's hardcore followers even treat waves as failed curls. The method just has tooo much product for wavy hair, especially loose waves like mine.
I mean it doesn’t look bad per se, but it’s definitely poofy, looks dry, and is lacking structure and shape after brushed. I only comb my hair dry for this reason, and only when refreshing or wearing is a bun, or braid. She’s right for this. But 100% agree the cgm is not ideal for everyone. Personally, silicones do magic for my hair, but i can’t dry brush without looking like a cotton ball.
My hair is the same as her (Wavy). The beauty light makes it shiny don't be fooled. When its brushed its so fluffy and frizzy its not cute I swear. Of course the longer the hair, the heavier the hair so it doesn't look as crazy on her especially since her hair is not clean bcz it has natural oils that makes it flat
@@lepakshijaideep489yes agree with all of this. I certainly understand that tighter curl patterns can’t brush dry without damage, but I truly think most wavies can. I’ve tried cgm before and my hair was so weighted down and heavy. It’s definitely a technique that doesn’t work for everyone, but somehow there’s a blanket rule that every person with some texture to their hair has to follow the same set of guidelines. Also I know some people in the comments mentioned how their hair gets fluffy when brushed… maybe it’s just personal preference, but I kind of like that look! Gotta let my lion’s mane do its thing sometimes 🦁😊
I have wavy/curly hair and I brush it whenever I want a particular style. It doesn’t really damage your hair or anything from my experience, it just makes it frizzy, which is fine if your going for that look or if you do what I do which is braid it so it comes out wavy. I also don’t brush my hair when it’s wet because I never feel like I get all of the tangles out. Do what works for you guys!
I totally agree. I have loose waves and when I dry brush it (everyday), my wave pattern isn't lost. My hair is also pretty healthy. I do have frizz, but I'm fine with that as long as my hair looks shiny and my waves are visible. When I wet brush it, it breaks, since my waves are loose
@@lepakshijaideep489same. I’d say my waves disappear for like an hour, and then reform. I spray a little leave in through my ends to encourage it to rewave.
I wanted to add to my previous comment that I have long, thick, semi wavy hair like yours. Instead of brushing it and risk breakage, try this when you do want to wash your hair. Wash it tangled! Yes, use tea tree shampoo & baking soda if you need to really clean hair of hair products. I find that I can use my fingers to loosen the tangles while rinsing my hair. Then, I use my fingers to detangle while wet. It really helps prevent breakage. Hope this helps. And you have beautiful hair. 🫠
you can brush it! But after brushing get a sprayer which has a little bit of considitioner and water, and spay on your hair! It's really helpful your hair going to be the same as washed.
I tried this today and found that wetting the brush as you brush your hair allows for a kind of ‘reset’ so you can style your hair however you want !

Bingo
I think there’s a misconception that all wavy hair can’t be brushed. Her hair looked completely fine brushed out.

Yeah, my wavy hair only looks good when brushed dry 😅 It’s a looser pattern than hers tho.

Your natural hair is beautofil. Wish my wavy hair was like that

Thank you so much for the advice!! That makes sense. I have so much to learn with my wavy hair!!
Some dry oil on the mids and ends would do the tricks tho 😂❤
Every oil I've applied on dry hair makes my hair frizzy. Do you know any that doesn't? I have thick, wavy hair
Love to brush n braid your hair
Finger detangle and use a little bit of oil on stubborn not, -> very little breakage 😊
Put som leave in conditioner or oil in your hair before you brush. Easier to brush. And possibly style..
Use a wooden comb, never these ones because they leave your hair very frizzy and frizzy, as well as getting rid of frizz.
What type of brush is this please can somebody tell me ❤
Let it rest and it’ll settle into its natural waves
you can just wet it down w a spray bottle then put your product in it
I try to sleep with the bonnet but goddamn... it's not so comfortable
Happy medium… lol
Next time put a little bit of water in your hair to help it out
….just wash it then

I like to use a wide tooth comb to brush my hair in between washes. Its better than an actual brush cause, less frizz.
