    from may exp. Tis is the best soft99 spray products and I have it all. It does for the looks. Blend of gloss and depth but more into plasticky one. You will find it best on the matallics but still god eleswhere. Easy to use. Good protection. Good hydro. Having 30+ ~QD products in the garage this one of few I tend to keep, already bought again. Can hold the guard against highrolers like watergold or egg. Go and buy you one!

    Your car looks really good. That colour of blue comes up a treat. I tried to buy an X3 in your blue but in the end went for a black E Pace and have not regretted my decision. You have not sold me that product but I have recently purchased £400 of product at 35% discount or else I might have purchased for ease of application and on your recommendation. @@ObsessiveCarDetailer Just a wee update on my confidence and gut feeling. My cars have never looked better in fact my neighbour who's car I have offered to detail a number of times and he has turned me down has asked me to detail his brand new car on receipt of it in July. My local taxi driver also had to do a double take on the shine on my 6 year old Mini . As for the black metalic paint on my other car all I can say is wow. In my opinion money well spent in fact I have been back another 3 times.

    It looks like a very good product. Could it be used after every wash as a drying aid. and would it affect a ceramic coating?

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  8 месяцев назад

      Hello John, not sure about a drying aid, not used it for that myself but certainly not needed to use it after every wash as it has staying power. Depending on how often you wash the car, I would suggest once a month will keep the car looking good especially if you use a drying aid after every wash. I dont know where you are based but if in the UK then for me a great drying aid is Garage Therapy 2QD or P&S Beadmaker. Hope thats of some help

      @@ObsessiveCarDetailer Hello and thank you for your reply. It is appreciated. I've been using DIY Detail's Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid and I find it to be very effective, but it does need to be buffed to get the benefit of it. I was impressed though at the Fukupika. It looks great on your car giving it an impressive shine. And, as you show, it doesn't need buffing. I shall have to get some and just use it as you suggest. A very helpful video.

For the times when you just want to make the car look good but pushed for time. Not the same finish as Sigma but not that far off. Hi Martin, good video. When you said it wasn’t a true test because you hadn’t
    “de-conned” the car, did you mean you hadn’t used a strip wash product to remove the old protection? I usually associate the term “decon” with using just an iron remover followed by clay bar when required.

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  2 года назад +2

      Hi Paul, basically yes. I look at decontamination in two phases. 1st phase:- Chemical where I remove all existing protection, any road tar & any iron fall out. 2nd phase:- Mechanical where I clay the car followed by a machine polish. As a minimum I would complete a chemical decon before laying down a fresh coat of protection. That way you can get a really good understanding of how the product performs as it will be bonding to the paintwork. In this video I just use it as a sacrificial layer of protection where it bonds to the existing protection on the car so you cant really judge its longevity as you won't know what failed. Hope that makes sense as I have rambled on a bit🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  2 года назад +2

      Hello Bob, good to hear from you. GT 2QD is a firm favourite of mine, I love it and probably the most used product on my shelf but this Soft99 product provides longer protection & easier to apply as no buffing but GT 2QD is a true detailer that will clean as it protects. I would also say that GT2QD is slicker. so for me, room on my shelf for both. If you are looking for a sacrificial layer to protect then Soft99 but for a true QD I dont think you can beat GT2QD. Sorry mate, no winner you just have to buy both🤷🏻‍♂
