    This is exactly the kind of video I need. Shows the fabric, how it behaves, and pattern samples. I have had so many discouraging failures from using a fabric in the wrong way. Thank you!

    Thank you so much for ALL the tips you are teaching us. I love all the dresses you have shown, however I won't wear it unless it is a crew neck.

      You are so welcome! The Summer Staple mentioned in this video does have a crew neck option :) So does this dress recently added at Sew PDF: sewpdf.com/product/cyos-dress-adult-rad-patterns/

    This was super helpful, as I just snagged some bamboo from Sew So English in a bundle and was thinking about what to make with it. I really appreciate how you showed the patterns that do work with it, as well as the ones that don't and the adjustments you made. I'd love to see more like this!! Specifically, I've always wondered about bullet, but also ponte and scuba.

      Glad it was helpful!! I'm not a fan of bullet or scuba myself (I find it staticky) but I do like ponte and have a few types on hand that I might be using soon and could make a video :)

    Excellent ideas!! Do you need to line the dresses or is the single layer of fabric enough?

    • @SewPDF
      @SewPDF  10 месяцев назад

      I have never needed to line unless it is a very light color :)

    I enjoyed this video. I have some red bamboo spandex that I'm looking for a top or dress. I also would like to know the difference between Double Gauze and Bubble Gauze and advice sewing Bubble gauze which is what I have. I see a lot info on Double Gauze, but nothing on Bubble Gauze.

      I haven't heard of bubble gauze, that's a new one for me! I work mostly with knits. Sorry I can't help with that!

    Loved this video, so informative. Can you do one using double brushed poly? I have a lot in my stash that I am not sure how to use it? Thank you!

      My tips for double brushed poly would be exactly the same :) It has the same high stretch and drape of bamboo jersey, it's just not breathable so I wouldn't recommend it for hot summer weather.
