I am kinda freaking out, I can't tell the difference between the shiny and regular, is it a little darker ? I was staring at them back to back and I swear they look the same after my eyes re adjust.
Yes the color of the body and the color of the main swap. So it looks darker than the normal ones. I’d recommend looking at the comparisons on serebii!
I breed one of these within the 30 eggs and didn’t notice and I gave it up to Surprise trade without realizing it. I had a regular Paldean Shiny Tauros run into me a couple of days later and went to the Pokédex did I see the entry for a shiny Fighting Fire Tauros entry. ;_;

There’s a lot more to playing through the game as opposed to previous titles and I feel like shiny hunting isn’t completely busted in these games (at least for full odds) so I can see myself returning to it to shiny hunt for a while! I just hope they fix the performance issues soon as that’s my main complaint right now!
The blaze breed tauros’ horns glow red sometimes regardless of them being shiny or not. There are 3 different Paldean tauros, the combat breed (which is the one you see the most of) the blaze breed (rare one exclusive to scarlet) and the aqua breed (rare one exclusive to violet) they all have the same shiny colors where the mane and main fur part swap and the shiny appears much darker. I’m doing this hunt and I honestly can’t tell the difference. At all. To me, I can’t tell it’s one slight shade darker black. Black is black. Also trying to tell the face is a shade darker is hard to do when they spawn in packs often two packs side by side and the moment I take to see if it’s shiny or not is when they all charge me. At least with the regular one Shiny the tip of the nose turns grey. This hunt is obnoxious, Gen 9 had some of the most lazy Shiny designs.
Pause the video right when I notice the shiny is there. It’s significantly darker than the other ones. I would recommend looking at them the angle I did from the bird’s eye view. And the shiny color is reverse of the normal color. The normal one is a dark grey with a black mane and the shiny is black with the dark grey mane. You’ll shino yourself a lot during this hunt. But even the most subtle shinies, if you see thousands of the same Pokémon over and over again, even the subtle ones will be obvious when they show up!

Tbh, if I had to pick between shiny hunting a Paldean Tauros and something like, a Garchomp or Gengar, I would hands down go for the Tauros.
