8:10 We were quoted 3k for a full design & wrap on our 1997 Nissan D21 LS swapped burnout truck. Because there's no existing dimensions of that vehicle, the guy really struggled to come up with a design that could flow from section to section. We ended up trading an Adobe file back and forth numerous times until I was basically the one designing the wrap. I will say, being an artistic person as well as well versed in Design and 3D programs, etc, it was a giant PITA. You're working with flat images that will present themselves in complex shapes. I would charge quite a bit to design these for people. I even 3D scanned the truck haha. At the end of the day, we couldn't get the image we were looking for and called it quits. I think we need to go to a premium company who has graphic artists in house.
If y'all aren't watching Mike over on Stanceworks (especially you socks n sandals), you're doing it wrong. Obviously all the big ones ie, Larry Chen, Hoonigan, Throtl, Donut, Speed Academy, ect. Enjoyed the podcast as usual boys. Good luck with the shop search (I knew the church sight was a bad idea as soon as y'all brought it up).

Quiktrips here in kansas dont have carwashs, which is interesting to find theyre ran differently. But ours also do not have 93 or e85. They just have 87, 89, 91, and auto and truck deisel. To get 93 or e85, you have to go to jumpstart, but all their gas is 30% ethanol, which isnt good for a stock tune like my evo x came with. They come from factory tuned for 93 with 10% ethanol max, but no one around kansas has that

The car that got away from me was a 1984 Porsche 944 a elderly lady was selling it for 2 grand and i couldn’t afford it i think of that car every week

I watch Jesse Iwuji (NASCAR Driver) he only has 3 thousand followers Then I watch A TON of Boost & Bad Habits they only have a couple thousand followers but they have this dodge minivan that's srt swapped, and William has this sweet drag Crown Vic and right now they are using a bunch (3) of 240 Volvo Wagons that's all getting swapped they're from right down the road from me too

YT automotive content feels like i'm watching the same thing over and over by different "content" creators, especially in the Drift/JDM automotive lane. all the creators go to the same events, same travel plans to AUS and JPN, same content different person. you watch a couple and just feels like you're stuck in an endless loop. i.e. Drift matsuri, SEMA, Drift Week, LZ events. I wish more creators were like jimmyoaks majority of the time he's doing his own thing and build high quality and purpose built for fun/track/daily all the while teaching and learning. I've become more of a Podcast consumer over the last year. Faction Motorsports, Sileightymania, Dount Podcasts. And at last but not least Martini works has been a breath of fresh air.
