I have a 2008 v8 limited full time 4WD and it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned and never plan on getting rid of it. I bought it living in Colorado and I put it to use with ski trips numerous camping trips to different states constant off roading. Now that I’m in Florida it’s a pavement princess.
My uncle's 4runner from the same year and v6 is silver with gray leather with good shape interior, regular style radio with jbl synthesis, but rust underneath sadly from Canadian winters and probably wasn't washed a lot, he replaced the suspension, brake lanes, and rear left taillamp in the future someday. The milage is under 100k and he got it from his brother in law who doesn't drive that much, usually 4runners I see for sale have lots of miles.
I love watching transformations like this. Just a simple purchase of an older car with some new accessories, getting everything back to a working state and all. I've done this myself with a 2004 Civic that I loved, but ended up selling in 2022 after 4 yrs of ownership. Family got bigger and it was just too small for us, and not that "safe" on the highway. I just can't justify to myself nowadays putting all the work and money into an older car. Depending on the point of view, it's a waste, as you're putting brand new parts in car that is closer to 200k miles. I do appreciate watching passionate car people doing it, and hopefully will be able to convince myself to do it again in the future. I will certainly aim for an SUV, like 4runner or Sequoia.
If I don’t mind asking, what did you pick this up for?? There’s one in my area selling for 10,500 and seems to be in pretty good condition 4wd limited 06 like yours.
I’m personally tired of riding 2 suvs in my life, we’re selling the 2008 Honda pilot while debating between 2007-11 toyota Camry se v6 or the 2012 toyota Camry se V6, and one of them is on OfferUp and Facebook marketplace
I have a soft spot for this generation 4Runner! My grandfather had an 07 SR5 with the V6, such a great car! He now has a 2021 RAV4 Hybrid Limited

We had a 2005 in the family from 2008-2020. Not one problem. Replaced with a GX460. You’ll be addicted now.
I’ve been thinking of getting the 2015 or 2016 limited, just love the look and me and my family travel a lot and it would be a great suv to have
