  • Since 1983, the Autism Treatment Center of America has presented The Son-Rise Program - a truly child-centered approach (for children and adults diagnosed with Autism and other related disorders) in which you’ll move with your child, instead of going against them. This creates a deeply loving, deeply respectful learning environment, enabling both you and your child to build a joyful connection together. Then, using a step-by-step educational process, you’ll inspire a love of learning from your child. We put parents in the driver’s seat as key teachers, therapists and directors of their own programs, utilizing the home as the most nurturing environment to help their children dramatically improve in all areas of learning, development, communication and skill acquisition.

I am so glad we found this program! We haven't started it yet, I am still trying to finish the Autism Breakthrough book and the Son-Rise A Miracle Continues book. Our son can communicate but he definitely struggles with conversation and social skills. I have had a couple of interesting things happen since joining him in his stims. I have a good feeling about this program and so many people have stated how much it has helped their kids and themselves. A friend of mine has also joined with her son and she has seen some interesting things with her son as well. Thank you so much for this program! I am grateful we have another way to help our kids besides ABA therapy. This route feels so much better and I am excited to start our journey helping our son.

This very important for parents to note. If we all accept and practice what Raun is teaching , we shall improve our children's function faster and reach that optimum goal.

I haven't seen the whole video, but I can say this (being on the spectrum) that most media outlets dont report on the fact that social skills training doesn't really work on ASD.. First of all there are a combination of interlinked things in ASD that cause them to behave the way they do.. Giving social tips to an ASD person is good for awareness, but it won't solve the social interaction dilemma of people on the spectrum.. Only thing that can help overall is interacting with your own kind or a mutual type of tolerance and acceptance between ASD and NT people or then medications.. I'm afraid most social media and media outlets fail to talk about the harsh truth.
