The entire mental framework that people have about lost discs baffles me. Some people make it seem like it's a mission you have to endeavor to get them their disc that you already found for them, and others are like "oh hey new disc for me" without any effort. I've had to actually take a disc out of someone's bag that I knew was a friends, after seeing that it was covered up on the bottom but the ink was coming through the cover up
Crazy that there are so many lost discs at your course. I would be scared to throw around that water hazard. Another fear, snapping turtles. We have them in our creek.
The Q&A was amazing and I like the idea of a podcast. I listen to foundations podcasts while I am driving so another disc golf podcast would be great!!!
You can't do good things for people without consequences. I feel the same as you about people thinking i stole it out of thier bag. After I found it a mile from the course never to be found again. I don't care about thier disc or thier feeling anymore. I use to. But to the ones who are thankful and grateful, keeps me doing it. I love getting disc home, even Koller when it's a no name.
@@asheranders901 I really hate the poachers who try thier damnest to beat me out there. I call um out for being thiefs, and I laugh at them ,out Loud like a crazy man, when I catch them looking in a place I already got them out of. cause they are just taken them for themselves or saleing at local replay sports. Then it makes it look like I took the dis. And sold it. Because I return hundreds a year.
That's the exact reason why I only contact those who leave numbers on their discs. Too many awkward exchanges trying to track people down when the disc doesn't even belong to them. Keep doing your great work!. Those who say thanks are the real ones.
As a new disc golfer with 4 DX discs, I once went to play early one morning after a couple of days' rain. I came to the creek that runs through a portion of my home course, and I saw a couple of discs. As I was getting those, I found a couple more. And then a few more. All in all, I found 26 discs that day! Felt like Christmas!
@asheranders901 I kind of got greedy about it - developed a rake with a long pole on it, and I was scraping creeks and lakes all the time for a while! I have about 100 discs, and have only paid for maybe 20 of them. lol
Vandal. I remember once I had a guy say that he had a disc of mine and he showed up at leagues every week and I was there every week but he never showed up with my disc that he found. I eventually gave up expecting him to return it since it was a disc I hardly threw anyways.
Great work your doing! Some people have no common courtesy when it comes to other people doing them a kindness... Stay strong I'm sure some people just really appreciate it and treat you right! 👍
Vandal!!! I can't believe people would give you a hard time about trying to get their discs back to them. You're doing such a great thing and they think you aren't is crazy! You keep doing it and we will keep watching!
Another fun hunting video. It's crazy how some people act over a piece of plastic. The few discs I have found have been pretty good interactions, but I could see people just being a pain.
You're right man, I find a lot of discs at my home course, which has a lot of rough rough in the summer, and return everything I can, on top of occasionally going after my own discs in the water and getting a lot of others out too, and people expect a lot for me to get their disc back. Like I will hide it for them or they can come pick it up, but I'm not driving a half hour or an hour to give them their disc back
Yep. I'll offer either to arrange to meet at the course some mutually agreeable time, send a picture of its location on the course for them to come back to, or in one case where a guy was distant but sometimes worked in my area, hold it for safekeeping until he texts he'll be back again, and leave it out in my mailbox for pickup. If they want it mailed, they can venmo me the postage.
This is why I don't like water hazards for discgolf. I rarely even play holes where there is a risk to lose a disc. It's not that I'm cheap, but discs aggregate in these kind of holes and it turns into trash. Not cool. Good on ya for cleaning up bro!
Most people I find a disc for are pretty cool, but I gotta agree you need to come to me or meet me at one of my courses. Ive also called as I was leaving a course and I left it on the course under a trash can at the course where I find if Im in nashville or out of town as I leave. One guy who lives in jackson I called and told him I was going to memphis over the weekend and I could meet him on the way and I had to wait for him over an hour after I went to the location he specified at exactly the time he said to, pretty crappy. Anyway I feel your pain. I always feel like every time I return one its good karma for maybe getting one of mine back. And I have to say you are the best at getting us guys our discs back!! Jesse and Ant are pretty guys too Chewie has returned several of ours we have a pretty good bunch of guys around here.
So I found a latitude 64 Bolt. Name and number on it but it's clearly scratched out with sharpie. Both are still somewhat legible though. What do you do in that circumstance.
@asheranders901 that’s what I like to hear the fate of the random generator. And these fools that harass about unmarked plastic should learn to throw better or mark them 😉🤷♂️😂

Snapping turtles, copper heads, dead bodies- reasons why I DONT fish for discs in murky waters
That Jeff Gordon hat is GOATed
appreciate it!!
I see that walking sure is coming in handy still 🤣
You are a Saint for saving others discs
That vandal looks like a sweet blue. Its pretty crazy to see all of the debris in the trees that are over your head. That creek must seriously flood!

I’ve never thought about that but yes!

Man of the people! I love finding others discs and returning them, but I agree with you, 5% of y’all make it tough 😂
Thanks for doing so much for the community!
Great work love the video
Man is a disc returning legend! If they act a fool looks like your local club got some plastic to give to some newbies.
Love the idea of walking and looking for those disc. People being silly about getting their discs. Wow. Crazy

Thank you Daniel!!
I agree, you have to accommodate to the person that found it
We luckily have a local store we can drop discs off that we find to simply getting them back to the owner.
Oh that’s nice!
Vandal-ized again! I should go down stream in our creek and see if I can find any discs
Every disc I have gotten back, gets a thank you and a bottle of wine/beer.
Imma need you to tell some people for me haha!!

Ahhh!!! Very true!
love the vid keep it up i reconized that dice u found of pablos
Wow you guys have a lot of lost disc. Most of mine are in a lake that probably will be lost forever
I used to do this with golf balls back in my high school days. Disc golf didn't exist back then so I couldn't search for them.
If people don’t put their name and number on a disc and you went through the trouble to recover it, it’s yours!
