*For those Who failed and couldn't do this* I finally made it and I wanted to say how I made. 1) I tried it with 4 different types of coffee and the best one was, where the coffee was not the powder one (if you understand what I mean, if not it's the coffee you see in the video) 2) I took more sugar (like 3 tsp more) 3) less water (at least 1 tsp less, the texture is if you mix it, it looks like you have to put water but if you stop it looks like you don't need to add water) 4) i used the hand mixer and it immediately changed its color (like not even 10 sec) 5) after like 20-30 sec it was hard to mix so I added water little by little (1 tsp) I didn't get the texture like in the video, my texture was very "cloudy" but it was the best result I got, and I tried this more than 6 times Hopefully it will help, I don't think that this will be noticed, but I wish someone would had write this earlier so that's why I do it now

That's exactly how we make it!!!!
Only we make it in a mug with 1-2 teaspoons of instant coffee and maybe a couple of teaspoons of sugar depending on how sweet we like it. We stir for a couple of minutes and add hot water. Also condensed milk if we fancy.
For cold coffee we use the same ingredients but instead of stirring, we shake it until again it becomes a cream. Then add cold water and ice cubes. Condensed milk if we fancy...
You forgot to mention the most important thing.... We use a SHAKER (yes, that... Exotic gadget) instead of a whisk. Finished in two minutes and with your wrists safe.
I was going to add in the comments " I'm pretty sure the Greeks have been doing this for years" my greek friends introduced this to me years ago and they saved their wrists from permanent damage unlike this poor soul in this video.
I'm from the east coast of Canada and we used condensed milk for so much but I've never heard anyone else talk about it until you. Cheers. Stay safe. Lol.
Better with condensed milk! That's greek recipe!;-)

@@mleahaso far from the reality darling.. this is called frappe it's a Greek recipe for cold coffee.. But here in Greece and in Cyprus we don't whisk it for so long.. Just 30 seconds with the little hand mixer for coffee..
I wanna make this except I have no instant coffee in the house right now and it’s hard to come by with what’s going on so hope everyone is safe
I've seen it work with ground espresso coffee hope you are well☺️
I hope that to .. we are in Asia cant go out 🥺💔 corona i hate you
@Kick Blow lol not when everybody at home prefers tea to coffee
Kick Blow i don't think they have guests over any time soon
@Kick Blow come on, everyone has different culture on how they serve their guests
This looks so nice omg, the colour is also so pretty!
I liked it a lot. I have a coffee that I don't like it but mixed like this is delicious
I’m gonna use my battery operated hand frother.
I recommend that they add less coffee because it's very strong and ends up very bitter. Also mix with milk gives it a delicious taste that is milder.
Do you mean hot milk instead of water??
@@lin_0_1
of course not. mix the beaten coffee with the milk
@@mariacamilaperez9112 oh,ok thanks, but i made it already without any changes and it was really bitter😅but thanks though.

@@babygirl4926 does it taste good? Serious question here
LAY's hotter than wasabi random person here , I made it it tasted good :D !
LAY's hotter than wasabi sucks bro
5 teaspoons of instant is a solid 3 cups of coffee, this is kind of an insane thing to do. I'm questioning whether the person who made this video knows how instant coffee works
sauercrowder i used 2 tsp coffee and 4 tsp sugar and 3 tsp water and it came out a bit strong lol I can’t imagine what 5 tsp tastes like !
I’m glad to report that I used the mixer to do this and it worked and it’s worth it
Looking fantastic 😍
It's called "frappé", it's a Greek invention, has been around since the 50s. We have a special machine, and all that.
yeah, I've learnt to do it in Cyprus for guests, quite delicious!
Vera Ivanovic And in France it’s coffee that you agitate with ice
I just wish they had used a different cup. I can't mentally stir it properly.
Lollll
*For those Who failed and couldn't do this*
I finally made it and I wanted to say how I made.
1) I tried it with 4 different types of coffee and the best one was, where the coffee was not the powder one (if you understand what I mean, if not it's the coffee you see in the video)
2) I took more sugar (like 3 tsp more)
3) less water (at least 1 tsp less, the texture is if you mix it, it looks like you have to put water but if you stop it looks like you don't need to add water)
4) i used the hand mixer and it immediately changed its color (like not even 10 sec)
5) after like 20-30 sec it was hard to mix so I added water little by little (1 tsp)
I didn't get the texture like in the video, my texture was very "cloudy" but it was the best result I got, and I tried this more than 6 times
Hopefully it will help, I don't think that this will be noticed, but I wish someone would had write this earlier so that's why I do it now
Thank you!!
You the mvp 🙌🏾🙌🏾
But which coffee did you use then?
Türkçe de yazabilir misin ☺️
This really looks good! I have finally made it myself! Can’t be happier!
It is Greek drink and its called “frappe”. Search it to find how you can made it more easier.!
We’ve been doing this forever in south Florida with a spoon- it’s called Cafe Cubana!
You whisk it with a spoon instead of a whisk ?
I am asking this because you said 'with a spoon' that's why
Just now due to staying home people are discovering how to cook and make desserts again
Sunitha Rayudu, yup! When making Cuban coffee, you mix the first drops of coffee with sugar and beat it until it’s frothy. It’s not served like this coffee, but the process of making froth is similar.
.
@@vawooldridge3253 many years have passed since in 1957 Greeks discovered frappé (Wikipedia), now to be borrowed by different countries and just changing names ).
Les recomiendo hacerlo con la batidora, y en plato hondo :^
Yo lo hice en uno pequeño y salpico todo 😆
Using a baking mixer is more easier. We have been trying this coffee frote' at home. My daughter had discovered something that is called greek coffee.
Your daughter is right, in Greece we make a similar coffee called frappé (which literally means whipped in french)
Deb-Bee Yea that is true but this method became a viral trend in Korea because of the coronavirus meny are quarantined and very bored so they decided to do this. Since it takes 400x Mixing to make it frothy. Using a mixer defeats the purpose
Deb-Bee she got it from TikTok
Nescafe frappe
Yes. It like a good idea, but in real life it does not work. After 1 minute foam will be liquid. And so I think that's not work
Legend has it that she is still whisking...!

I simply explained that many countries and cultures who have similar products at their disposal, also happen to have similar drinks and food. I find the mere thought of having "dibs" on something as simple as that ridiculous and frankly cannot understand why people see this as something to fight about instead of cherishing the similarities between cultures.
