Diagnosing an Epee: no light

My first epee does this but only sometimes and can be temporarily fixed by moving the socket a bit. The thing is it was very recently repaired and rewired for a different issue, and though I can be rough, I doubt I managed to break it in the 3 bouts I had with it. I'm thinking it may be water damaged as I had to carry it through the rain (with an umbrella) and it got a little wet' though the problem persists even now that it's dry. It is trully cursed, any ideas?

Hmmmm it may be some water seep in, but it sounds like it could also be the wire not being fully snug in the connector, or still having a layer of glue insulating it partially. So I would check that the wire is fully clear and sand it down a bit to confirm, as well as making sure the nuts in the connector are fully tightened. Good luck!

@@askanarmourer9549 thank you, I'll get it repaired as soon as possible. I also realised it probably isn't water damage because I had 2 epees with me and the other one works fine and I had wiped both of them before use

@@askanarmourer9549 nevermind, I couldn't sleep so I poked around that epee at midnight, adjusted some wires, used some tape and now it works. I only used that epee at the club and it worked all the time
