I met Glen nearly exactly a decade ago when I was in J Crew during the holiday season. I was honestly too terrified to bother him because he's in a public place and shopping. My friends mother went over and told him I'm a huge fan and then waved me over. He was an absolute delight. Sweetest man I have ever met in my life. By that point I had seen ONCE like a dozen times on Broadway, and a year later I directed a short version of the musical for a theater festival, and then several years later I saw Glen live in Ann Arbor and I literally cried half the time. Bless you, Glen!
Whenever I've been going through a trying time in my life this song immediately starts playing - almost out of nowhere. I doubt Glen will ever see this message but he truly did save me countless times. Regardless of how clockwork the appearance of this song is it never lose's its magical appeal and I'm forever in awe by how moving the musical accompaniment is. Whoever is struggling please don't ever give up. There are a host of others who are rooting for you. You've got this! 👍
